"[California's recall process] flies in the face of the federal legal principle of 'one person, one vote,' and gives to voters who vote to recall the Governor two votes — one to remove him and one to select a successor, but limits to only one vote the franchise of those who vote to retain him and that he not be recalled, so that a person who votes for recall has twice as many votes as a person who votes against recall," the lawsuit states.
By pushing other DEMS out of the process, the idea was to drive base to answer only the first question.
Typical Democrat 'argument'. ANYTHING they don't like is 'unconstitutional'. Meanwhile, they don't give a damn whether what they do is unconstitutional or not, even when pointed out to them.

He's on the ballot!
You don't have to write him in.
Not unexpected. The early Newsom strategy was to make sure he won on the first question alone. By pushing other DEMS out of the process, the idea was to drive base to answer only the first question. It was his own STRATEGY. Now that it is "closer" they want to change the rules. No different than how they defeated Trump. We are a banana republic. The CA deep state has already moved the election to Newsom's advantage.
If only some of these other candidates had money I would tie this lawsuit to Newsom (suit was brought by two supposedly "private citizens" - haha - someone just needs to find the tie) and point out how he is trying to overturn the people's recall right. But when you are outspend 2:1, 3:1, 4:1 - unlikely.
