Reading the news this morning, three stories in a row started with a commercial in the accompanying video. I abruptly ended it each time.
If you are talking about television, there is no news at all on television.

The Videos imbedded in the articles. I tried to watch three this morning, and all three started with an earfuck advisement.
If you take the medicine, you’ll be flying kites, frolicking at the beach, having wine and dinner with friends etc.(according to the ad)
There is nothing worse than a non-consensual earfuck.

I like the irony of the pharma product ad for type 2 diabetes. That commercial shows very active slightly chubby folks doing fun activities. I guess this is an attempt to flatter the real target audience - the seriously overweight and sedentary lifestyle folks who have acquired what should be called fat-onset diabetes.
I'm not intentionally watching a commercial ever again.
