I have a theory about Australia. The lockdowns and police state fascism was all about reducing vax hesitancy. People there are absolutely terrorized! They’re scared of Covid and their government and each other. They desperately long for normality to commence.

Long(ish) read, but straight stupid. Just let the guy in and hit a ball that is going to generate millions in revenue for government. Hell Djokovic alone would easily $100k plus for his lodging, coach(s), friends and family. I know it's tricky to ship stuff to Australia, but order a container ship of just treatment options, distribute them, open up and be ready to treat the tsunami of covid that will come at some point. Set up clinics to detect if you're asymptomatic, early state disease or late stage and treat.

It's summer there. Get people outside moving and building up their immune system. Promote health and not hiding. This is common knowledge as a non-doctor or scientist. Promote staying home if sick. They're never going to create some level of herd immunity that is likely as or more effective than a vaccine.
