All I know about people, aside from those I've met personally, is the email address the used to register and the IP address requests come from. If you were to use a throwaway email and a VPN, I think it would be very hard to identify you.
With respect to contractors, as far as I can tell, it's strictly up to your actual employer. Now I might be just guessing here, but your immediate contractor employer actually has a financial self interest in being lax, since if they can't place you in a position, some other contractor will.
Latest update: Job still going through. Clearance being processed now. I'm guessing another 6-8 weeks till start date.
I think a religious exemption is a bit dishonest if you don't really believe it.

At what point are you going to turn the job down?

Security clearance? GOVERNMENT security clearance?
Look, you're licking a boot when you get paid by our fucking government. I swore I'd end up on the streets before I ever became part of that mafia 30 years ago.
I may work it for a couple months for some side cash.

Are you a big time developer? Full stack yadda yadda (I don't mean that in a smart ass way)? If so, why not find a small company that you can help take to the next level? I have such a company. Hint hint.

The thing is that it is your beliefs that vaccine is immoral? There is no clause that says it has to be major religion, as long as you believe your shoes talk to you it's good enough. So it is honest in a sense that your beliefs are your own religion. That's how a lawyer explained it to me.
Because some Christians are fine with vaccines, others are not... so it's not universal. Everyone has varying set of circumstances.
Before you start, you need a plan B if the exemption is rejected.
You could send a notice of liability to the school, wait 10 days, file for lawsuit... but that takes time.
You can't file for unemployment if you didn't follow company policy.
Doctors are witch-hunted for their issuance of medical exemptions.
There is no definition of religion, so you don't have to adhere to traditional religion.
Don't put science in your exemption because they will argue that.

Your beliefs do not have to be express tenets of your religion.
CA law: belief must have some religious foundation, not veganism, not just a philosophy.
It's ok for your belief to have developed over time.
Your belief does have to have an overarching place in your life.
religious belief in CA:
must be belief that is sincere and meaningful, parallel to that filled by orthodox belief in god
more than philosophy or moral, the golden rule is not enough; has to come from HIGHER POWER or scripture
religion addresses fundamental and ultimate questions having to do with deep and imponderable matters
religion must be comprehensive system, not just a single teaching
religion can be recognized by presence of certain formal and external signs
must be your own truth, do not use internet templates because they will look for that
Write a letter to yourself already so it's in your brain.

So what is the logic of a mandate?
Half of the population is insane, and will let themselves be jabbed to death if Pfauci says so. And he does say so.
At this point given the level of abuse that's been levied against people trying to warn the lemmings, I say let them do what they want to do or are told to do - same thing.
The court said OSHA should “take no steps to implement or enforce the mandate until further court order.”
The case originated when Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton (R), along with the states of Louisiana, Mississippi, Utah and South Carolina, filed a lawsuit against the Biden administration over the vaccine mandate in October, requesting a preliminary and permanent injunctive relief to stop the mandate from being enforced. The lawsuit also asked that the mandate be declared unlawful.
Earlier this month, the federal appeals court ordered a temporary halt on the mandate, but the Department of Justice then requested that the halt be lifted, contending that the administration has the legal authority to require COVID-19 vaccines or testing for larger companies and that the states that are challenging the mandate have not shown that their claims outweigh the harm of stopping of rule.
The court, however, upheld the stay, which prompted OSHA’s announcement that it is suspending enforcement of the rule.
More than two dozen state attorneys general and other groups are also challenging the mandate in court.
Despite the court’s ruling, however, the White House urged businesses to continue implementing the guidance for COVID-19 vaccines and testing.
“We think people should not wait. We say: Do not wait to take actions that will keep your workplace safe. It is important and critical to do and waiting to get more people vaccinated will lead to more outbreaks and sickness,” White House deputy press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre told reporters last week following the ruling.

I also really dislike Biden for the record. He's kind of like the Democrats' version of George W. Bush
I don't think that the OSHA thing has anything to do with military / federal employees / federal contractors.

Come back and hear nonstop BS about mandates for the vaxx for all civilians and contractors. Hear about people getting laid off for refusing the shot. So I did what any rational dude would do...
I applied for another federal contracting job to see if this vaxx crap is actually being enforced.
Interviewed last week and got an offer today and there was ZERO talk about a vaxx, and ZERO in the paperwork requiring it.
We will see how things progress but I'm calling their bluff with only a handful of actual contractors enforcing it, which most will later rescind when they can't fill slots due to their own requirement.
So ultimately, it seems like nothing really exists and the mandate is loosely enforced, and it's all political theatre, with the Biden administration trying to get the company/contractor to enforce an illegal action.
I'll keep you posted if anyone finds this interesting....
