I think the theory goes that omicron outcompetes other variants for hosts and then gives those hosts immunity.

Everyone else had to have it as soon as it came out, but no not us. We could tell those previous variants were defective, and still needed some tweaking and improvement.
The earlier version needed a companion Vaccine to go along with it. and the only way you could catch it, was if you were Vaccinated, and selfish Unvaccinated Trump supporter walked through a Restaurant not wearing a mask. Not this new variant, it don't give a fuck who you are, you'll get it. It's an equal infectious variant.
We held out for the better option, we resisted the Science, the Masks, the Vaccines, we knew Nature would make a good one for us eventually. We never lost faith, in spite of Fauci, telling us. "No don't trust Nature, trust Me... er the Science! But boy was he wrong.
