There are, and always have been, some pretty obtuse people on here who just spout propaganda and can't give any cogent responses to questions that contradict their narrative. Either trolls or those people who wear masks while driving on the freeway alone.

I havent been very active the past month or so, but I've seen some unfamiliar names interested in real estate, which this website has a long history for, and may be piquing interest due to the economic conditions / inflation / war / etc...

The stats say it all, barring username changes (and that's a BIG IF). I've lurked since 2005, and only joined in the last year or so, mostly because (1) I value my privacy, and (2) Patrick's move to HTTPS , etc. meant that I had to step up otherwise miss a lot of content.

I've been here long enough to see people come and go... and even cone back again. I've only changed my username once... I went by EastCoastBubbleBoy way back when this site was almost exclusively dedicated to Real Estate and housing. Back then it was an oais of sanity when everyone had the "real estate only goes up!" mantra and I was on the outside looking in.

Patrick would have the metrics and trends on new accounts (obviously) but being an optimist I'd like to think that the influx is people who are looking for an alternate view separate from the MSM. That said a healthy dose of paranoia isn't a bad thing in my view; now more than ever it seems evyone has an agenda.

Despite it all (because let's be honest there are a few loonies.. and I don't mean Canadians) I find the content engaging enough that this place is still a daily read after almost two decades. It makes me laugh, it makes me think and HunterTits NSFW thread always gets me "up" when I'm feeling down.

I'm just posing the question. I could do metrics on this site to find out, but not without pissing Patrick off. I'd have to download the entire site which I could do, but that really would be an asshole thing to do. I wouldn't be able to trace username changes. It's not my right to do this, Patrick alone has the right. If I was like "FUCK PATRICK", I'd consider doing it, but I don't feel any animosity toward him.

I feel as though there is a propaganda campaign POSSIBLY going on, but I also think people should expect propaganda, and not depend on the site owner to indicate it through statistics. I think people have been hand held far too much. Propaganda is never going to way, it's up to each individual to recognize it and I know that large companies like Facebook, Twitter, and Google will NEVER admit to a propaganda campaign. People have to learn to recognize them for themselves.

Now having said this, maybe I'm paranoid and/or full of shit. I'm not drawing a conclusion, I'm just leaning in a direction. You certainly shouldn't trust me. I make mistakes and grossly incorrect conclusions all the time.

Well, certainly. It cannot be possible that all the people screaming that we "mask up" and "get the shot" were propagandists, they were victims.

Most people are NPCs. NON propagandists want to convince them, but propagandists, they are happy just to program them. It's a disadvantage, but really, if you can't convince them - do you really want to save them?

So that helps to distinguish new and old users.

My own registration is the first one in the database: "joined 2005 Apr 3, 9:31am". The site did exist for years before that (I think I got the domain name in 1996) but I didn't have a proper database until 2005.

There is a plethora of propagandists all over the WEB. It's not just here.

The ones taking differing positions on factions from India are quite open about it.

I was wondering when I first started tuning into your forum and I think it must have been 2003 or so, maybe even 2002. That's when would search out real estate bubble blogs and follow them. I think there used to be a link to other housing bubble forums on Patrick.net, amiright?

New people here might be more evidence of a real estate bubble...

Lefties should know that total loss from nuclear mega death is about 200 million in the beginning, then up to about 550 million from starvation after nuclear winter ruins food production.
