Well, Will Smith just decked Chris Rock over a joke at the thing I didn't even know was happening, the Oscars.

No, I'm not fucking making this up.

Apparently Rock told a Joke about Will's whorebag bald wife, Jadda being in GI Jane 2

Actually I think this is good…sort of.

I’ve felt for a while that most media members were the types of kids that used to get bullied when I was growing up.

While bullying isn’t a great thing, it does force the kids that might get bullied to learn to shut their pie holes and not get mouthy and demand certain unenforceable rights and other bullshit. And occasionally one of the kids would stand up to the bully and pop him/her or more likely get beat up. But whatevs. In short it builds character(that which doesn’t kill you makes you stronger).

However, the younger people in the media most likely didn’t get bullied as kids, certainly not physically. And they never learned what they can’t mouth off about. I don’t think it would be a bad thing for people to get socked in the face for feeling free to publicly say stupid shit about another person. I’m actually surprised more sports reporters haven’t been beat up by athletes.

Just watched it, it was fake as fuck. Smith was laughing after the joke. That was one of those Pro-wrestling slaps.

Probably the first time people have something to talk about from the Oscars in years.

You have to watch the uncensored version where you can hear him say the f word. I think it was real. If it was, Smith should have been escorted out. Chris Rock should sue him and The Academy for lack of security.
6   FuckTheMainstreamMedia   2022 Mar 27, 9:53pm

It was completely real.
7   BayArea   2022 Mar 27, 9:59pm

The slap looked like it could be real or fake. Hard to say.

However, if you watch the uncensored version, the aftermath certainly looked real.
8   Ceffer   2022 Mar 27, 10:22pm

Seems it was real. https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2022/03/watch-will-smith-wins-best-actor-award-cries-slapping-chris-rock-oscar-stage/?source=patrick.net

You can't always be sure in show biz. Smith apologized in tears after he got a best actor award. He didn't apologize to Rock, however.

They got people to discuss about the Oscar’s event, which its rating has been falling like a rock. Mission accomplished regardless if it’s real or fake.
12   clambo   2022 Mar 27, 10:44pm

Smith slapped Rock, he didn’t “deck” him.
“Decked”=knocked on his ass.

Although I don’t give a fuck about any of them, Will Smith is an asshole.

He of course can be arrested for the slap.

Why is he so unable to control himself? It was a self-indulgent display.

Want to know why Smith is so sensitive about his wife’s absurd appearance?
Because he knows she’s not hot and it bothers him.
A straight up ugly freak Jay Z has a way hotter wife.

Imagine you are a rich movie star and you have to be in public with that; you would be pissed too.

Edit: I now wonder if it was a fake slap, I think it might have been all an act.

Agreed the Oscar's have been flailing and were on life support. I give it 50/50 fake or scripted vs real. Even if scripted probably the only moment worth watching. At least 2 minutes of good show

It's fake for sure. Chris Rock is a comedian and Will Smith knows his relationship with his wife and likely knows Rock well. If he's that insecure to assault someone on TV then he's a crazy person.

Seems like a ratings grab. Everything is theater at this point on the tube. If you truly were upset you wouldn't slap another man, you'd punch him. It was scripted. Not sure about Rock, but I'm sure both have rehearsed and practiced for fight scenes. That's their living, to make things look real on camera.

Not that I care or have watched in the past, but I didn't even realize the Oscars were on until this. With Covid I feel like the movie industry is hitting some hard times. His name is escaping me, but the producer that was fucking all the actresses didn't help either. Hollywood has some major issues and so do theaters. It has the movie making infrastructure, but it's cheaper to make films elsewhere.

I may never go to a movie theater again in my life to be honest. I have a 110" screen (soon to be bigger when we move) and a better sound system than what they put in movie theaters. I can wait until the movie comes out. Plus there's immediate content you can stream that's not even in movie theaters anyway.

Back to the OP. I haven't heard about Will Smith or Chris Rock in years to be honest. They're geezers and trying to be relevant again.

Harvey Weinstein.

odd how smith lol'd at first, but his wife eye rolled. then moments later smith is up on stage attacking him. did his wife get mad at smith for loling, motivating him to turn into tough black man talking all that "keep my wife name out yo mouth"?

The thing is, Will was laughing but his wife had the Bitch look on her face in God mode, Will saw that and the decked Chris. And look at the open hand, and Chris didn't get flustered nor break his stride. I watched it several times, and it was a movie slap, complete with a foot stomp and the left hand thumping his chest to make it sound like it was a good solid hit.

I don't think he ever made contact with Chris, which is why Chris didn't kick his ass.
18   WillyWanker   2022 Mar 28, 6:22am

Pure chimpout in my opinion. Low IQ individuals tend to take offense easily and because their low intellect doesn't allow them to express themselves in a calm and verbal manner they react in violent and hostile ways. Not much different than the myriads of stories of some hood rat decking his wife/baby-mamma/mother/friend because they ate the last chicken wing or the events that happen at some waffle house where someone feels they were disrespected because someone gave them the stink-eye and then ends up in a brawl with chairs flying in the air.

If you go frame by frame you can see smith did not thump his chest, nor stomp his foot. It looks like he hit rocks lower jaw, but there's not enough frames to be sure. Here's I'll slow it down:

21   WookieMan   2022 Mar 28, 6:56am

Fact is we're talking about it. It's got Panet users that don't seem interested in Hollywood talking about it. It was a stunt. He may have actually hit him, I don't dispute that, but it was planned. Getting slapped is nothing. Trust me, I got my fair share of slaps as a child from a 6'3" father.

IF it was real, then Will Smith is a very insecure man that has a lot of money. He could (probably does) fuck any chick that is hot and I thought that was their arrangement. There was no reason at that event, with a comedian making jokes to go do that. Already heard Rock isn't pressing charges and isn't talking about it so far. It was staged. #JuicySmollet It was staged.
22   GNL   2022 Mar 28, 7:01am

I just can't imagine such a thing happening like that that wasn't faked. No security? No anger from the crowd? If it was a chimp out type of thing, wouldn't have all the chimps in the theater whooped and holla'd?
23   just_passing_through   2022 Mar 28, 7:11am

You all know Will is a cuck and his wife fucks other dudes right?

I mentioned it. They have too. Easier to fuck around openly than have it "found" out by Hollywood media types. Hollywood and celebrity marriages rarely work because of trust issues. You could go to work on set one day and film scenes with beautiful women... sure nothing happens, no connections emotionally are ever made on set. lol.

He slapped him for sure, but to get free publicity and probably make a couple million for your film and comedy career for Rock, slap the fuck out of me. Smith is an actor and behaved the exact same way he does when acting. That was 100% not a normal human reaction. As long as you're not fucking my wife or touching her, and you're a comedian, I'm fine. Say what you want even if it's a truth. I can take it as a dude. Smith is soft or he staged it.

You are trying to explain this as if Will Smith was a normal white man. That ain't gonna work. And the fact that Chris isn't pressing charges is because Chris isn't a little bitch that runs to the law for every little incident. Chris is by far the bigger man. And Will is the little bitch.

Will is on the side of the righteous libs and the crowd was the same. So of course there was no anger. If Chris would have stepped in the gutter and fought back, then there would have been whooping and hollering.
29   joshuatrio   2022 Mar 28, 8:27am

Who cares about Will Smith and Rock. They are both part of the Hollywood elite wrapped up in all the scientology bullshit and possibly pedo crap.

Giving this attention is likely what they want.

Anything for Hollywood to feel relevant again... They have been in decline for years now.
30   RWSGFY   2022 Mar 28, 8:39am

32   clambo   2022 Mar 28, 8:44am

I saw a short video of Smith acceptance speech and he said “god” tells him what to do, and other bullshit.

So being a paid minstrel is doing “god’s work” ?

These guys are all idiots on ego trips.

I hope to never see or hear Samuel Jackson nor John Travolta ever again.

I’m so happy that I don’t give a shit about any of them.

Off the subject, isn’t Travolta gay?
33   Hircus   2022 Mar 28, 8:47am

maybe this stunt by smith was woke inspired? you know, the whole "I get outraged at jokes and humor" behavior they try to convince people of.

Wope! He does stomp the heel of his foot down, the hit made a thud, when it should have made slap sound.
Chris' quick jaunt back, is also off. The direction and momentum of Smit's hand, should have rocked Chris' head to the left, as Smith's hand followed through the hit.
To jolt back like that, would have required a straight punch to the face, which is not what Will Smith delivered. At first by looking at the video, I thought Will landed a haymaker. But then as the footage shows, that was not what happened. Will started out with a closed fist, but ends up being open, to protect Rock's face, in case, he connected.

Wil's hand is at the wrong angle when he's on the other side of the strike. The open hand would have been up had that been a bitch slap. He has the knuckles up, which would have broke his wrist or put at risk of a serious wrist injury.

He never landed, and Rock's face is unphased.

I'd say they are 90% right then, maybe more.
38   Tenpoundbass   2022 Mar 28, 9:33am

Chris' face never stops the momentum of Will's hand in motion. Which means no connection. Usually in an assault footage, there's always a point where the hand connects, and you see the cheeks bunch up, the head rocks back, a hat flies off, even if it's only one frame. There's none of that in that video.
40   Ceffer   2022 Mar 28, 10:37am

It's interesting that you can watch something like this over and over, and not even be able to decide if it is real. Since all of these fools are frustrated and likely stoned these days, I would tend to think it was a sign of nervous breakdown. However, it could also be staged.

Will Smith isn't a particularly good actor. He always plays himself in different roles, no range at all. He and his wife have been complaining for years that he somehow 'deserved' an Oscar and that it was some kind of discrimination that he didn't. He got his Oscar last night, so I hope she and he go jump off a bridge somewhere.
