I put up with a lot of bad calls by Trump, defended him. But this is too much.

I will still vote for him in 2024 if he is the Candidate, but now I prefer DeSantis.

I endorse the same person I've endorsed every day for the past 20 years to run my life, me! And I've noticed more and more, I'm not alone. Long time voters, people like my parents are even starting to talk of not voting. Man is waking up, and realizing the best person to run his life is himself.

Really?

Who we elect as President doesn't have any impact on your life?

I know alot of people (including myself) who have been negatively impacted by the last 2+ years of the Biden administration.
179   NuttBoxer   2023 May 17, 9:27am

Zero impact. Inflation started really taking off in 2012 under the people who have power to make those calls, bankers. Don't remember the Bernake election, do you? Epstein is the one who trafficked children, didn't elect him either.

See, we don't decide anything worth deciding by a vote, unless it's at the community level. Now in my home and family I've hedged against inflation, learned to grow food, formed relationships with local farmers, taken my family out of the city when people got crazy, joined a survival community in case of collapse, purchased guns, ammo, and taught my kids how to resist tyranny.

Biden never picked up trash in my neighborhood, Trump never hired me to work at his company, Obama didn't buy any of our cars, Bush didn't carry in my groceries. None of them ever did shit for me, or had any say in anything important in my life.

If you feel that way, I feel sorry for you. You're living in slavery to people who never want to see you free.

We don't elect the president. Do you really think Biden was actually elected? Hey, did ANYBODY really want Barack Obama OR Mitt Romney as president? The reason Trump was elected is that it was fucking Satan Incarnate versus Unknown Clown and the establishment was just flabbergasted that unknown clown got so many votes that they couldn't stuff the ballot boxes enough.

Unknown Clown was blocked from doing anything for 4 years.

So it doesn't make a difference who is president. All it changes is what bullshit you hear on television, and if you don't bother to watch the damned propaganda box, then it makes literally no difference.

And if Ron DeSantis wants to be the next President, he needs to get his inspiration somewhere other than Donald Trump.

He needs to channel the spirit of Ronald Reagan. ...

Reagan won because he so clearly believed in America’s promise - and because he’d lived it, and he’d run a state that embodied it.

It’s easy to forget now, but California used to be a place that people wanted to live, where taxes were reasonable and a middle-class salary could buy you a house - not on the beach, sure, but a few miles inland.

California wasn’t paradise, the air was dirty and the traffic nasty and Los Angeles almost completely segregated, but the schools were decent and the economy good and it worked.

California isn’t California anymore.

Florida is.

And as much as anyone, DeSantis is the reason why.

Three years ago, DeSantis bet his and his state’s future on his response to Covid. He did something Reagan never had the chance to do, never needed to do, he bet against government interference and for individual freedom in a visceral, personal way.

You didn’t have to wear a mask in Florida if you didn’t want to. You didn’t have to stay in your house. You could choose to keep your kids home or send them to school, to keep your business open or closed. DeSantis bet against lockdowns and masks and vaccine mandates.

He bet on the Constitution and the rights it promises.

And he won. In the simplest, most profound way. Despite the left’s shrieking, the bodies didn’t pile up like cordwood. Three years later, the age-adjusted Covid death tolls in Florida are basically indistinguishable from other big states.

Americans noticed. And they voted with their feet. California has lost 700,000 people in the last three years. More stunningly, New York City has lost almost 500,000, more than 5 percent of its residents - and a lot of them moved to Florida. (By the way, this migration shows exactly how much anyone really cares about climate change. Florida is barely above sea level and ground zero for hurricanes, but people can’t go there fast enough.)

This is the record Ron DeSantis should own.

During an unprecedented crisis, he stood against medical authoritarianism and government overreach (and the media) and for freedom. He believes in the Constitution and personal choice. ...

But DeSantis cannot possibly win by being whiner and more self-pitying than Donald Trump, Trump has the monopoly there, and why would he want to, anyway? Why even try to be President if all you see is the American sun setting in the west, escaping to China? ...

DeSantis believed in freedom enough to stand up for it in 2020 against the paper tiger that was Covid, just as Reagan stood up to the Soviet Union 40 years before. Why not stand for freedom again?

Win or lose, that’s a fight worth having.

He was a JAG lawyer at Guantanamo. What he did was listen to prisoner complaints, reported them to his superiors, to have whatever the prisoners complained about intensified.

So Guantanamo has been around for over 20 years - name something that was gotten out of it? Anything.

This man supported torture as a lawyer. I'd be very cautious with him.

In a non-paywalled article yesterday, the New York Times ran a whiny but encouraging story headlined, “Disney District, Now Under DeSantis’s Control, Ends Its D.E.I. Programs.”

Disney used to fully manage the controversial Reedy Creek district acting as its own county government. But last year, after Disney officially opposed Florida’s ban on sex education in grades K-3, arguing that very young children should learn about all the minute details of atypical and historically-abhorrent sexual practices, Florida’s legislature revoked the media giant’s long-standing sweetheart political deal, allowing the Governor to appoint a new slate of directors.

Unsurprisingly, the New York Times undersold the headline. In fact, according to the press release issued by the new district governors, the DEI program will be “abolished,” along with the odious practice of using race to award contracts...

Calling Disney’s DEI rules for the district “un-American,” new District Administrator Glenton Gilzean explained in the official statement that, “Our district will no longer participate in any attempt to divide us by race or advance the notion that we are not created equal.”

Looking forward to the DeSantis/Newsome debate (if it happens).

I have been dreaming about a big bright line election where we have politicians not mired in personal or political scandal and they can just debate actual policies that impacts normal people (education, criminal justice, borders, welfare, energy, taxation AND election integrity...). Better yet, having 2 active Governors who have to answer to the success or failures in their individual states and can't hide behind fuzzy rhetoric. DeSantis can say, "why can a big population state like Florida count our votes in one night while California takes weeks and weeks?"

But we likely won't get that debate in the next election because Republicans have become radicalized by the fact that Democrats are running circles around Trump and Republicans having mastered the ability to abuse the Government bureaucracy against its political opponents.

So we are going to pour money into Trump's coffers to pay for the legal bills against these B.S. charges and will be pulling our hair out in 2024 when Newsome or Whitmer or some other Democrat cleans our clocks again.

What has Trump done to secure the election next year other than to say we shouldn't play by the same rules Democrats are using to clean our clocks (mail in ballots, ballot harvesting, early voting)?

States like Michigan have basically enshrined mail-in voting in their state Constitution.

DeSantis can legitimately point out that Florida cleaned up their election system after the mess in 2000 and can get results the same day. Places like California have gotten less secure.

DeSantis was a JAG lawyer at Guantanamo. What he, supposedly, did was listen to prisoner complaints.

He found out what they were complaining about and reported this to his superiors. Once his superiors knew what was bothering them, like playing music 24 hours a day 7 days a week to reduce the ability to sleep, they increased the volume.

Don't be so ready to trust. What did we get out of Guantanamo? Well, our nation can now torture people, provided, they aren't on US soil when they are being tortured.

What information did we get out of him? What crime did he commit? What the purpose of the torture?

There was none. He didn't commit a crime.

I don't believe DeSantis is a full on PoMo globalist. I do believe he has an ego, which can be a good thing, and he's proven himself tough to do things in Florida. A lot more so than Abbott the Wimp of Texas.

However, he's got to get on the MAGA Express and fully endorse Trump and become fully MAGAized 2024-2028 and abjure all the Bushes.

He's also got to declare Medicare and Soc Sec sacrosanct.

We will never return to the Ryan-Bonehead-Hasert do-nothing but tax cuts and wars GOP. I'd rather the democrats win and accelerate the pain. We had 25 years of GOP Establishment Congresses, broken only by a couple of very short Dem breaks. Yet here we have Trannies in Schools, the Dept of Ed still exists, we have a woke military, and for most of the past decade or so the GOP has rolled over for big government every time. 2017-2018 should have been a Bonzana for Libertarian-Conservative mass extinction of Shitlib programs, budget slashing, woke smashing, fun time. Instead we got Ryan dragging his heels on purpose to make sure Big Corps didn't lose their contracts and the status quo prevailed.

America is doomed if Republican victories merely result in tapping the brakes towards Post-Modern Globalism. We must turn the car around entirely.

"Oh, we limited the growth of the Dept of Education by only 20% over the next 7 years." is no flex. "We eliminated the Dept of Education" is a flex.

Myths that were totally exploded in the past few years:

* The SCOTUS ruling proved abortion is not the Third Rail dangerous to Republicans like Nikki Haley and others claim. The elimination of Roe v. Wade was one of the most ANTI-CLIMATIC events in my lifetime. Half the Women in the USA were expected to pick up arms and start shooting shit up over it, but suddenly not very much happened.

* The Russian Army is a threat. It couldn't reasonably advance to Kiev in weeks, much less days, hasn't advanced, and has been on the defensive for a year now. If this is is how the Russian Army performs against a Client State on the periphery of Europe, one of the poorest and disunified European countries if not THE most, then we can really cut back on NATO commitments.

* The Fed can forever stop inflation by jiggering the money supply, and Wall Street/Fed/Frankfurt is infallible

No. This is NOT what is happening.

They are sitting in their position, killing Ukrainian soldiers. I don't expect them to advance nor retreat EXCEPT when they have difficulty killing Ukrainian soldiers.

This is a proxy war. There is NO INTENTION of ending it by either side. It's to exhaust the other side - doesn't matter what Putin says, or the Russian government says, or the US government says.

This is a conflict between NATO and Russia, being fought in Ukraine. It ends when either Russia decides to give up, and I doubt they will short of a revolution in Russia, or when Ukraine has no more men that can or will fight. NATO soldiers might get involved though, and that will further extend it. There are already plenty of mercenaries in Ukraine.

The Russian army originally began a rapid operation to capture or cut off Kiev by a combined light inf/airborne and mech attack. The reformed Russian Army was simply too skinny and in order to hide the runup, Putin and the Russian Army did not prepare enough logistics (as usual with early war Russia) AND sheer numbers of soldiers necessary to guard the highways, roads, and railroads to keep their Manuever battalions in action

They did not risk the elite VDV in a diversionary move. Unless I see overwhelming evidence that they did this in the coming years, I find that risky; lightly armed paratroopers could be easily cut off and surrounded. The typical use for paratroops is to secure far away locations or delay enemy reinforcements until heavier troops can link up with them. Russia pulled out the VDV which was unable to take over the Kiev airport in a shock surprise attack.

While the Russians thumped the shit out of the Ukrainians in the initial wave, their supply lines were left undefended due to not deploying forces to patrol and hold the roads, allowing local UA units to cut the logistics, forcing the Russians to withdraw.

Everybody tells lies or misleads. The Russian one is that the whole march to Kiev was a "Distraction". They could have done the same by invading from the North and just advancing a few miles and sitting around without risking supply.

The original plan was to isolate or quickly take over Kiev, replace the government or negotiate a replacement government or force a shaken government to a quick negotiation, and end up with at least Donbass and probably a bit more territory north of Crimea for security. Or perhaps all of left bank Ukraine, but not all of it.

If this advertised plan was the real plan, and not a post ex facto explanation to cover up failure, then it failed because it failed to empty the Donbass of UA units to shorten the line by pulling them back towards the Dneipr and removing most of all of them from facing off along the Donbass area.

Countries tend to repeat what worked, this looked like a larger scale version of the Georgia Intervention and meant to be very short and sweet, and singe the beard of Kiev and the West. Putin probably had it in mind to end the Frozen war by forcing Zelensky to negotiations and a quick wind up of Donbass.

I simply don't believe the Russians sent Elite and Mechanized units to the Dneipr just to pull back a few days later.

SAYS WHO?

Our government that lied us into Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, and Syria?

I expected this war would be over in a few days, like Georgia versus S. Ossetia was, or Kazakhstan was but IF it wasn't, it would go on for years, because it would be a proxy war. Well, this is a proxy war. Many people have openly admitted this or accepted it.

I do not expect any possibility of this war ending until at least the end of 2025, even if Trump is elected in 2024, which I doubt he will be.

I don't bother myself with analysis of the war which is beyond my knowledge anyhow. I can speculate forever, but I know MY nation. MY nation wants this war to go on forever, like every fucking war they start. This war is precisely what they wanted, and what they got. They got a bunch of school children to cry out "Slava Ukraini", got the moron left to think this is a justified war because Biden was president at the time it was started, and has convinced idiots that Putin is the new Hitler, just like Assad was, just like Qaddafi was, like Ahmadinejad was, like Hussein was.

Everybody is fucking Hitler!! Whatever nation we attack, the leader is "Hitler". So stupid, so childish. But it's believed.

I now understand how easily the population is controlled. That was a difficult horse pill to swallow. People aren't people, they are meat robots. Just say the same fucking stupid nonsense over and over again on the propaganda box, and they repeat it too, not only repeat it, but BELIEVE it. These are people?

It's just amazing to me. How many times does the government have to lie, before you realize the government is lying. Does Putin have cancer? Is he about to die? Mariopol was going to be a success, I don't know why our government claimed that, they were all underground in a bunker, all Russia had to do was get some bulldozers and bury them all. Remember the Ghost of Kiev - oh I'm sorry it's "Kyiv" now, and "always has been". Russia is about to collapse, they said, a year ago. Our stupid bullshit propaganda will continue to produce stupid bullshit propaganda, and fucking idiots believe it.

The war will be in the same place a year from now that it's now at.

Russia's only aim at this point is to kill the Ukrainian military. If NATO sends in mercenaries, to kill them. They aren't trying to advance, they aren't even trying to win the war, they are just trying to kill the US western lead men forced to fight this war, or dumb enough to fight this war.

https://patrick.net/post/1343140/2021-12-29-a-ukraine-war-and-the-end-of-russia?start=1#comment-1808895

I wrote that on December 29, 2021. The Russian invasion began on February, 24 2022.

Time will tell if I was wrong, but so far, I'm totally correct. I was hoping it would be a quick decapitation of the traitors of Ukraine that aligned themselves with the United States. The DUMBFUCKS that run our foreign policy are 100% predictable. If a stupid shit like me can predict this so accurately, do you think the people in the Kremlin can't?

I don't even look at the military planning or logistics, I look at the past record of our foreign policy and the stupid shitheads which we should have executed 2 decades ago. They are 100% predictable. Replace them with an AI, they'll fuck up just as much. Don't think the US wants to "end this war". They don't. They want to prolong it, and Russia is fine with that. Their military expenditures are a FRACTION of what ours are.

We are going to deserve all the pain and destruction of 4 more years that is coming to us. I totally understand the pain and rage many of us have about the bullshit prosecutions against Trump. Democrats run circles around us abusing lawfare and our government bureaucracies. But Trump still has no clue how to combat the deep state making it so easy for them to tie him up in indictments.

DeSantis is the only politician running this cycle that has PROVEN he knows how to do the hard work and fight the deep state and fucking WIN!

So - many of us in the Stupid Party will continue to ignore every retarded statement and action by Trump and all the evidence before our eyes, while we will simultaneously believe that the country's most successful Conservative politician (DeSantis) is a secret Paul Ryan global homo.

First, Roe vs. Wade. Overturned because of Trump's Appointees.

There are STILL GOP Wimps like Nancy Mace insisting the GOP back off on abortion, she made those remarks just days ago.

Please name me all the Social victories and laws won by the GOP before 2015? Did they re-illegalize Gay Marriage? Did they bring back don't ask-don't tell in the military? Keeping in mind they had Congress from for years before Trump announced his candidacy.

Nah, they cut taxes for multinationals, declared next Wednesday Apple Pie and Motherhood day, and made sure there was funding for expeditionary expeditions and the trade deficit grow.

Let's not confuse DeSantis with the House GOP. Most of what DeSantis has done in Florida was after Trump was elected, not before it. And there was a time, where DeSantis did act like a Stick-in-the-Mud GOP Congressman, talking about giving Moron Street the power to "invest" Social Security money. In fairness, that stupidity was popular at the time in the 2000s when Wall Street brilliance hadn't been revealed to be smoke and mirrors.

I like DeSantis as governor. I was very happy with him UNTIL he refused to wait his turn AND took Bushite Wimp GOP money. He's got an ego, which is great, he was more hardcore in redistricting than the pretty strong GOP State Legislature was, but he blew it. And after all that Bushite Wimp GOP money, if he won the primary, he'd owe them big time. "Oh, DeSantis, we helped you. Leave China alone and get rid of those Trump Tariffs. Koch needs more cheap workers at below market price, leave the border alone. We helped you, you owe us."

No, the first two years of Trump he should have had stunning accomplishments, but the GOP Establishment did everything they could to slow walk, whinge, and delay. I remember Trump trying to get the GOP off it's ass and get legislation passed, while Ryan refused to call people back, tabled votes, etc. Ryan's goal was to run the clock down and hope the Dems won the House back in 2018, which often happens when the Party-out-power dislikes the President greatly.

DeSantis' accomplishments were mostly pre-announcement.

Finally, the Democrats HATE DeSantis. If he was to be elected, they would oppose him every step of the way and demonize him as much as Trump. But because he is now in hock to Bush-Koch, between that fact and Media Pressure, you'll see him be defanged harder than Trump was.

DeSantis isn't going to be the nominee. Nor is Haley, or Rama, or GOP Establishment Wimp Aida Hutchinson, or Fat Ass Christy who left NJ Governorship one of the most hated Governors in history, including by the majority of Republican Voters.

Where's the J6 footage you promised back in February, McCarthy? He's the head of the Capitol Police as Speaker, so he's wimping out from an organization he controls.

Why? The FIB doesn't want everybody seeing they had scores of informants and assets instigating minor acts of trespass and vandalism.

SAYS WHO?

Our government that lied us into Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, and Syria?

SAYS ME.

The rest of what you say has literally nothing to do with my point, which is Russia is covering up for it's failure in the first weeks of the invasion.

Because the stupid compulsively lying Neocons shithead traitor retards says "Russia is losing" that ALONE tells you the are not losing.

It's a 20 year old pattern. They only lie.

I like DeSantis as governor. I was very happy with him UNTIL he refused to wait his turn AND took Bushite Wimp GOP money.

Wait his turn? Trump is not an incumbent and he is making Leftist arguments against DeSantis' successful Conservative record. When Trump is not shitting on other successful Conservative Governors who are not kissing his feet, he is giving his political enemies more ammunition for lawfare due to his lack of impulse control.

Personally, I think Bush money is better than Disney or Anhaeuser Bush money. Especially when Trump showed the whole world this past summer that he will make Leftist arguments on culture to defend his financial backers.

When DeSantis starts doing complete 180's on his views or making Leftist arguments like Trump is doing (especially on COVID)- then I will worry.

If Trump is the nominee, I will hold my nose and vote for him happily over any Democrat.

If DeSantis is the nominee, will Only Trumpers throw a fit and write in Evan McMullen or something?

So, when is De Santis going to hold that grand jury into Vaxx deaths and injuries ???

So, when is De Santis going to prosecute pedos under that Death penalty law for raping children ???

I did see him take a swipe at Disney so there is that, but after he started running for president, he's kinda dropped his initiatives. - I've gotta assume he was paid off.

His poll numbers. End of story. Just because NeverTrump (all of whom are suspiciously ethusiastic for him, which is a major Red Flag) wants him, doesn't mean he's gonna be the nominee.

Poor Trump. The "leader" of our party couldn't even whip his own party into shape.

Because most of the party, esp. on the Federal Level, IS the Swamp.

That's why the border is wide open after ~3/4 of the past 25 years of GOP Purse Power in the House

I didn't say the Russians were losing. I said their initial action was very likely a miscarry, and the claims to the contrary that it was just a fient to Kiev is RUSSIAN propaganda. That the US Deep State lies but the Syrian, Hezbollah, Russia, etc. government tells the truth most of the time and doesn't cover up failures is not accurate either. The Russians certainly aren't losing.

20 years after the fact, how can you not recognize that George W. Bush is IDENTICAL to Joe Biden.

They are puppets. If we get another fucking Neocon in the white house, we're off to at least 4 more fucking years of fucking war. THIS is what is destroying our nation. Not drag queen story hour. Remember that "big controversy"? Well, not an issue anymore, should never have been. It's just a bunch of fucked up parents allowing their kids to see fucked up adults. Who cares about them?

Could be. It's possible.

It doesn't matter.

I'm pointing out Russia isn't fucking up. Things can ALWAYS go better, but what's going is good enough.

The United States wanted to harm Russia, instead the United States has shot itself in the foot. It's clear that NATO is useless, expensive, and stupid to have. Winter is coming, the Nordstream is mostly gone.

You don't have to listen to anybody other than the Neocons. They ALWAYS lie. Whatever they claim, the opposite is true. They claim it will be a short war, it will be years. They claim they are wining, they are losing. They claim that so-and-so is Hitler, they are Hitler. They are the fucking 4th Reich.

Look, I'm just making two points:

Russia has many issues militarily. They aren't losing, but they aren't the endless Echelons of the Cold War, either.

We are beyond neocons now. The whole establishment, and the Democrat party, and the same Democrats who back their favorite South American or MENA terror group, are all on board with Ukraine.

Donald Trump was the Biggest Popular Vote Earner in US History:

137M votes in 2016 and 2020 combined, beating Obama 2008 and 2012 combined by ~2 Million votes.

Donald Trump got the 2nd Biggest Popular Vote of any President in US History:

74.2M Votes in 2020.

His 2020 total 74.2M official vote beats either of Obama's Election Victories in 2008 (!!!) and 2012 by MILLIONS of votes

And that's the official count, without any correction for fraud. If you think Dem AFSCME and Postal Service employees and RINO Maricopa Clerks and Officials didn't throw out or destroy at least a few 100k's of votes for Trump...

Trump beat every Presidental Candidate in history for the Popular Vote except 2020 Biden and the Dem-RINO Fraud Machine.

He not only trounced every number Obama hit, but smashed every Popular Vote for Bush, Romney, and McCain by ~10M

He won almost every bellweather county but somehow "lost" the election after the great 11PM freeze and 3AM resumption

So let's dispense with the NeverTrump myth that Trump costs the GOP votes. It's the opposite of the Truth: Trump is an incredibe vote getter asset compared to Establishment GOP nominees.
216   AmericanKulak   2023 Sep 8, 6:03pm

It's more remarkable when you consider the often illegal acts by Clerks to allow Mail-in ballots by the millions uniquely in 2020.

They don't need to be. Everything has "issues". Look at OUR military. We have fucking serious issues. We are provoking war EVERYWHERE and we can't fight it. Our military is tremendously expensive, and it's not the best in the world. 20 years of war has destroyed it. For 20 years, if you joined the military, you'd see some sort of action and the only reason people would join is they believed in what was being done, and it's all coming out, that all of it, ALL OF IT was lies.

You think they aren't telling their kids, their friends, and so on? The reason the military is having a hard time meeting quotas and dropping standards is people are saying what I said 30 years ago "this is bullshit".

I don't think Russians are saying that. NATO is a legitimate threat, or at least that's what Russians think.

Neocons rule both parties. That's why Trump exists. Neocons don't care about this country, at all.

The Neocons started out as being open marxists. Then they "found the error of their ways", supposedly. It was George H. Bush that invited them in. They are just authoritarians. Fascist, Communist - who cares? They don't.

The completely control our government at this point. Did you know William Kristol is a democrat now? The guy that was the loudest proponent for the Iraq War?

They have no ideals.

The Ukraine war for them is a way to make money on investments in the Offense Industry. So, it destroys a country, they don't care.
