@Richwick,

I’m no genius. But I have a very solid grasp of basic math up through Geometry, 2nd year algebra, and business statistics and analysis. My mind on this stuff is so solid that even coworkers express amazement.

I went into my stepdaughters classes one night about six years ago. One of the classes was geometry and I forget the context but they had one of the lessons there. Common core geometry. I couldn’t make any sense of it at all. None. I asked the teacher to explain it to me. Fuck if I understood any of it and that just kills me. I pride myself on solving sort of complicated stuff and I couldn’t get any part of this at all. When we got home I told my stepdaughter that if she didn’t need the class to graduate she could drop it and take remedial math in 13th grade.

guys in our neighborhood realtors drive around and put up miniature US flags on sidewalks in front of houses. this ultra left/liberal neighbor of ours with a tranny kid (no joke, her kid is trans and looks like shit), pulled flag out of sidewalk and threw into trash.

i can’t relate to these leftist retards. i used to consider myself liberal in younger years, but these people are fucking insane.

It doesn't require a genius to understand math.

I'm saying math isn't taught anymore. Procedure is taught instead. Students are required to memorize bizarre concepts, that have no use outside of the classroom, which have no applicability to the real world.

Math CAN be hard, but it's mostly made difficult. The hard part is coming up with new concepts, but calculus? That's not complicated once you understand how it works. Math is about simplification and reduction on the complexity. When I left college, I knew more than Issac Newton did, but that's not because I was more intelligent than he was - or Sir Francis Bacon was (it's suspected that Newton stole all his ideas from Bacon..) - it's because the concepts once presented are simple.

Calculus was a true work of genius whoever made it, but once you understand it, it's quite simple. That's everything in science and math. It's just system upon system upon system - but every layer is simple. There's nothing complicated about a computer chip, really. It only seems complicated if you don't understand a step, once it's explained to you it's a genius idea that is something you slap you head with "oh, that's obvious!". That's all of engineering.

My complaint about current education is that it's made needlessly complicated. I had a problem where 2x3 == 3x2 - why should that be true? It was explained by a grid that was 2x3 and 3x2 - it just required rotation of the grids. I think different people have different hurdles but my worst one is I always had to understand what was being claimed. So much of that is ignored in modern education - it's just "believe this".

This is my problem right now with ECC, I can implement it, but I don't know why it works.

Oh no! It's an absolute disaster!

Voters in Colorado voted in conservatives to the school board so they could reshape public education to better reflect what the parents want and then that school board delivered on their promises! ...

They're going to teach that America is good!

"NO! YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO TEACH THAT AMERICA IS EVIL!!!"

Common Core is like the Green Deal. It is DESIGNED TO FAIL. The Kommies don't want any but a few dynastic elites knowing anything resembling true math.

Kommies show their bribery fealty and devotion to Satan by increasing the bounding absurdity of their fake laws and claims. When the bribes run out, so will the fealty.

The media vilified this conservative school board in Colorado, so I asked the board's VP to explain his "extremist" vision for education. His answers gave me hope.
