Giuliani's cleanup lasted a good time. Of course it declined fast with the leftoid takeover and covid may have put a final nail in the coffin, but I enjoyed visiting it each time. Too much history, Wall Street etc. Brooklyn Bridge is fun to bike or jog over and it has some good bars
Look, go upstate to any fucking random town. Don't bring your city bullshit with you, be polite and see the sites. Everything is 1/2 price, beer is better, but you'll have limited selection. Go to hole in the wall places (which is just about everywhere), hang out in nature for a bit.
Go to Covewood, or any of the many places in the Adirondacks. Again, don't be a big shitty shithead. The people you will meet do actual real work that is necessary for our survival. Downplay your education, don't look down upon them - they REJECTED your life.
I'm in SillyCon Valley, a SHITBOX ...
Of course but that's true for most cities. New York didn't get it's flair for being family friendly, cheap or socially just or whatever shit they're pretending to be today. It was known for its history, parties, bars, music, culture, art, bars & restaurants, wall street etc
No need to indiscriminately bash cities cause they have taken a turn for the worse under leftoid marxist retards
The reputation of NYC is VASTLY over-stated.
SECOND is Washington DC.

It's a financial hub. It's sales. I've only been twice and wanted to leave immediately.
My wife hasn't done the East Coast so much, well Northeast. So it's on the list. I can't stand the entire region. Frankly it makes me angry when I've been there. I don't like the people more than anything. Entitled shits that act like they work 22 hours a day, when in reality they're ass holes and bums.
It's the only region of the country I have no interest in ever visiting again. I'd maybe do Acadia NP, but no interest in ever going to NYC again in my lifetime. CA has its flaws, but most people are chill. The NE is full of ass holes. Bad people.
Politics and leftoid retards destroying big cities aside, to say NYC has no culture or nothing to offer is bullshi

It has nothing UNIQUE to offer or worthwhile.
The food is substandard, the odor of the sewer is literally everywhere, it's dirty, bars and shops are dilapidated, it's highly segregated, and it's highly polluted. Really, the rest of NY would be ecstatic if it became part of New Jersey. It's a city of literally useless eaters. They are always forcing the rest of the state to pay for the shithole, it's a money sink, the rest of NY hates it.
People who sing the virtues of NYC, I think they've literally been nowhere else on earth.
Most people moved from somewhere else into NYC, so that doesn't hold true. The NY hardcore music scene of the 80s and 90s was one of the best (influencing LA and other scenes). Pro-Pain, Prong, Beastie Boys, Misfits, biohazard, nuff said.

I couldn't imagine moving to a place for "the music scene".
Fuck NYC, they are parasites. They are the epitome of assholes of hypocrites.
Would I love to leave NYC? Better believe it.
Thanks, richwicks! It's always nice to hear that I'm a worthless parasite despite protesting against the psychopaths on the streets where they're based and holding the ground as one of the million (last I checked) unvaccinated New Yorkers preventing them from going full medical police state.
What's stopping you? I left Long Island in 1969.
Novak Djokovic’s hopes of playing in the US Open suffered another blow after the tournament said it would respect the United States government’s rules on the Covid-19 vaccine.
