Number of children by political affiliation.

Leftism is self-exterminating, but it will take a while, and they will continuously try to convert the children of conservatives to replenish their numbers.

Probably in CA. I hang with a bunch of mid 30's guys and women. Almost all own a home and have kids. I'm the geezer. No one lives with mom or dad or has roomates either.

This is why I say the country is vastly different than coastal residents understand. If you're from a coastal area no on wakes up and says lets got to IL, MO, IA, MN, AR, OK, MS, AL, IN, MI, etc. A lot of you guys don't see the reality but are in overpriced areas.

Among ~1.3 million Czech women aged 18–39, those vaccinated against COVID-19 had ~33% fewer successful pregnancies compared to unvaccinated women.

If the spike protein is incorporated into the germ line (ova and sperm), then the human race will suffer a permanent decline in fertility. Time for the Africans to start fucking moneys again to regain "Potency."

I find this 100% believable.

We have two toddlers. Our third child is on the way. Federal regulations mean that we are required to buy a bigger car than our CR-V if we want our family to legally ride together in the same car.

I have 0 idea how that’s supposed to work if you’re a working class parent

29-year old childless women are fatter today than 30-year old women from the 1950s who already had 2-3 kids.

BTW, vanity sizing has gone apeshit. My mom's friend, a skinny woman who was basically a Size 4 her whole life, can't buy Size 4 clothes anymore, they're humunguous on her. She has to specialty shop for XXS, and even those are too big.

I read somewhere that a 2000s era "M" is now like "S" for women now.

Get a car with a 3rd row? Different occupation and make more? Minivan?

If you're a dual income household and didn't plan you're kind of an idiot. I know that's blunt. Other option is to move where it's cheaper. People set these stupid American Dream wishes. You have to work for it. Never has it been given just because you live here.

True, child's seats have loops at the bottom to facilitate that.

this was never expensive. cost of living skyrocketed. permanent inflation did it. inflation that was intentional.

Or, kids laid out in the back of the Station Wagon and the Insurance Industry didn't get the government to force people to have kids in seats. There was talk of making seats mandatory up to age 12, which means now people have to buy at least 3 seats, planning or no planning (since an infant seat won't hold a Kindergartener won't hold a pre-teen)

This. That's what station wagons were for. Long trips were cool, since you could just jump around in back when you got bored.

Then there were the obligatory accidents were all the kids died and they passed laws to require child seats (which small children absolutely HATE).
220   AmericanKulak   2025 May 18, 6:28pm

Got swiped in a Pinto Squire when I was 7 and riding in the back. Some tipsy woman turned right into us as we slowed down from a red light. Good fortune for my dad, if you remember what the Pinto was infamous for.

I also remember driving down the Southern State in my Granddad's Gunboat about the same age, him taking me to OTC and getting me a "Meatburger" at White Castle, sitting in the front whenever with one parent, and never sitting in a car seat that I can recall. Granddad was wild, he placed a few $1 bets after the weekend edition of the Racing Form arrived. He dropped out of HS about age 14 and autodidact from the WSJ and the Bible and Crossword Puzzles.
221   Ceffer   2025 May 18, 8:00pm

My whole family with five kids were hauled around the USA twice in station wagons when he had to move for Navy, no special seats, just rotated the lay down parts. You learn a lot of fart jokes and stayed in stinky motels.

The deaths were going to happen post WWII as kids born then are in their 70's to late 80's. The birthrate is kind of dramatic. France is fucked for the next 20-30 years. What are the men doing over there? You're talking 2045 best case to correct course and it's called fucking a woman daily.

If I was single I'd be in France in heartbeat. Pump, dump and run. Probably would make the French more tolerable with some American semen getting things done.

Concur. I was in Provence for a few months in the 1990s. Gorgeous, but with accents that made them sound like cartoon characters. Even the older women had nice bods.

You're right. War has become different now. We have to start fighting Muslim style. We send 100k 18 year olds to Europe and try to hook up with as many European women. Call it a sex draft. Free flight flight there and back. $20k per baby documented born. Age of consent is 15 in France. You know Bill Clinton would be there in a hot minute.

That would be better than the $200B we sent to Ukraine to kill people. Takes 20 years at least to fix a demographic issue. We should do the same here. UBI has always been talked about. UBCI (Universal Basic Child Income). Not talking tax credits. You just get $5k/yr for a kid. Cost of raising kids if you're at the median income is insane.

RUSSIA’S BIRTH RATE JUST FELL TO A 200-YEAR LOW—AND NOW IT’S A STATE SECRET

Russia is running out of people.

Births dropped so sharply this year that officials stopped publishing monthly numbers. A top demographer says March 2025 may have had the fewest births since the 1700s.

Population projections? Down from 146 million today to 132 million by 2045. Worst-case: just 83 million by 2100.

The government’s response includes banning “childfree ideology,” tightening abortion access, offering cash to pregnant women, and even proposing to release prisoners so they can have children.

Also: they might censor TV shows like Harry Potter and Sex and the City for promoting the wrong message.

The primary response should be a nice house with land for every couple that has more than three children.
229   Fortwaye   2025 May 20, 9:00am

also Patrick let’s not forget that population infinite growth is not a good thing. There are too many Chinese and Indians and it shows, they can’t sustain or keep their environment clean.

we probably should go back to 250 million too, it’s just that’s not good for business. societal capitalism incentives are not built around human existence.

I dispute the assumption that a population decline is a bad thing. Why do some people object to affordable housing and traffic free roads?

Decline and collapse are two different things.

Look at Detroit or Gary or the many abandoned small towns and villages in Japan and Italy.

When it gets real bad, national infrastructure falls apart too.

South Korea's collapse is worse than North Korea's decline. All the North has to do is wait things out and then roll right in.

Some of the push for 3rd world immigration is because of "demographic goals" related to a work force and other economic reasons.

I suspect National Realtor Association wants population growth to sustain demand for housing.

But ultimately it is all about standard of living and quality of life.

Right now as far as demographics you have Baby Boomers on Medicare and Social Security and some on Medicaid in nursing homes, etc.

Combine that with Biden's major influx of 3rd world immigrants to explain why Medicaid became more expensive than the Pentagon/national security during the Birdbrain Biden's administration.

But you could have fluctuations in population, where there is a turnaround in birth rates such as in Japan.

I'm not sure how difficult that is culturally or fiscally, but they could incentivize like with Earned Income Credit to have children.

Who is going to pay the taxes to maintain roads and entitlements if we continue to have less children? We are already getting lopsided with more and more Boomers retiring and less able bodied workers to support entitlements.

Also, once we start this path, it doesn't take long to enter a doom loop unless we get a new generation willing to have 4+ kids to make up for the previous.

Boomers die, entitlements are done. Gas tax handles roads for now until the states or Fed puts an EV tax on owners for the roads. They're heavier and do more damage to the roads. It's coming. This isn't an arguable topic. My wife has had talks with JB Fat Ass here in IL.

Either way illegals aren't paying the entitlements anyway. Roads a little bit, unless they're some hip illegal that got an EV.

The left constantly shoots itself in the foot. Green is the future. Oh fuck, we need roads and ICE vehicles pay that. Your overpriced EV just got more expensive with electric taxes. You registration fees will go through the roof in the next 2-5 years. Either or. $500-1k/year. Or at this point they can track your mileage, location or anything and just toll you on any road.

We can sustain without the illegals just fine. Just need replacement kids which is relatively easy. Get people out of cities. There's no community. No connection to the real world. This includes massive suburbs of 50k+. Work on your own yard and not some illegal landscaper. Get some exercise so you're not fat. We don't need this cheap labor. We'll do just fine.

Not going to happen in the foreseeable future, it’s too expensive for 60% of society to raise children…

Yeah - but we still have 3+ decades before all the Boomers die off. I plan on retiring well before then and don't want to see the Government raiding my Social Security, reducing my future benefits or importing a bunch of 3rd world migrants because Americans foolishly bought into the Malthusian overpopulation myth and now there isn't enough of us to pay the bills.
237   WookieMan   2025 May 20, 1:28pm

socal2 says

Yeah - but we still have 3+ decades before all the Boomers die off.

ALL is the key word. They're dying off faster than you think. They're no longer the largest generation. You lost a lot to big Pharma and other drugs along the way in the younger years. I'd say in 10 years 50% of boomers born in that time will be dead.

Basically your entitlement will be there. Boomers pay more into it than illegals because a good amount couldn't retire. Illegals help nothing besides big business that can hide them in payroll. Then service industries that have lots of physical cash flow like restaurants. They don't pay SS or medicare.

Ultimately if you're freaking out about money as you age, you didn't plan/save well. Illegals have nothing to do with that.

4. savings on food and landscaping
5. connection to nature, knowing how things grow

Raised beds and fences on the property lines. We've had no issues. So no deer. Insects aren't an issue here. Rabbits and squirrels for whatever reason don't get in. I had to toss a ton of pickled veggies about 3 months ago. I've gotta do the long term method. We grow too much. New house we'll have to get a 3rd fridge and 2nd freezer.

Could argue the electric bill, but seeds cost nothing. About to plant some sweet corn tomorrow now that we got some rain. Already late but whatever. We've had no rain. We'll be moving early summer, so will have to make the daily trip back to the garden. They still have to grade so I can't do much at the new house.

I honestly haven't studied Russia. Does this include the caucus states/countries? Russia is a weird animal from my perception. Nukes are an issue, but I've never feared Russia. All Muslims have been nice to me, but I'm not certain control of Russian nukes would be a good thing if they got to 1/3rd of population.
