Agreed nagging should always be a deal breaker. It's often a bit more nuanced, though, like "how much time do you need?" "As long as it takes" is always a valid answer for men, but not for womynz. Totally agree. You know, when I was in my 20s, I was a bit concerned that I really didn’t have a whole lot of interest in spending lots of free time and money on entertainment.

I realize now that I was silly to feel that way and should have owned it more than I did!

I preferred to stay at home and BBQ, work on technical problems (home improvement or automotive hobby), fitness challenges, visit close friends/family, research market investments, or even travel.

Unpaid for most, since it was all tech jobs. But tech salaries are very high to begin with and when working with critical infrastructure some overtime or off hours work is expected. Not all womynz had super technical jobs, but even a forecasting analyst surely must work late once in a while to get things done. Instead 1 hour lunches followed by 1 hour shopping/massages were the norm, and clockout at 5 sharp if not earlier. What was more baffling that this extended to executive levels. I remember some hired at the highest levels who literally were never in the office, did no work at all and then left with a golden parachute after 3-6 months. I've noticed this too - that women seem to get suckered into bad investments more often than men. I think a big part of it is that women are accustomed to saying yes to men, and not being assertive or self confident, so they just go along with whatever High Pressure Smiling Sales Man says, as they dare not create any unfriendly friction by saying no, which would make them bitchy / not nice etc... Especially when a man pressures them, they cave so easily. There's plenty of men too who fall prey to sales pressure too, but not as many nor to the degree of most women.
