British Prime Minister Liz Truss resigns after just six weeks in office.

Her announcement came after her attempt to roll out a series of aggressive tax cuts aimed at spurring economic growth but which dramatically roiled financial markets, led to unprecedented central bank intervention and drove her personal poll ratings to the lowest ever recorded for a prime minister.

Truss, 47, lasted just 44 days in office. Because Britain elects a party, not a specific leader, she will replaced by another lawmaker from her ruling Conservative Party.

The previous shortest tenure for a British leader was held by Sir Alec Douglas-Home, who served for one year and one day, from 1963 to 1964.

Truss fired Kwasi Kwarteng, her close ally and finance minister, on Oct. 14, even though he was implementing the pro-growth economic policies she campaigned on.

The pure definition of a Democracy in Hell.

The GOP here would love that idea, Trump gets the party elected, they give him the heave Ho, and the grift rolls on.
Oh... Wait!

Wait, why cutting taxes is bad?
12   Patrick   2022 Oct 20, 7:56pm

Cutting taxes on the rich was not a popular move at this moment.

CLO Speedwagon: The Song Remains the Same
CLOs Face Key Risk as UK Pension Plans Are Dumping Them
UK pensions are offloading collateralized loan obligations as the nation’s bond markets plummet, and at least some investors fear CLO prices could fall further because of a key risk embedded in the securities.
CLO managers take portfolios of leveraged loans and package them into bonds. The risk in the resulting securities stems from a guideline that can constrain these asset managers: less than 7.5% of their portfolio should be rated in the CCC tier, the lowest grades of debt that commonly trade in the market.
If they exceed that level, asset managers often have to cut off payments to holders of the riskiest securities issued by CLOs. That in turn could pressure CLO prices, according to Scott Johnson, managing director at NexPoint Advisors, which buys these securities. At least some CLO managers would probably respond by shedding CCC loans, hurting loan prices as well.

Most of them invest in most “tax efficient” manner. Not sure what is the new plan to get money other than print more of the same. The real problem is too much money created out of thin air for rich by rich.

She looks hot in that picture above.
Having lived in England for a year, I can say she's very above average.
I'm unaware of anything else about her, I haven't been following British politics.

The rot began after Chancellor Kwasi Kwarteng released plans for the mini-budget, an attempt to jumpstart the British economy, which included £45 billion in unfunded tax cuts over five years. This was the first test of what’s been dubbed “Trussonomics” in the UK. Global markets responded by selling off British-backed assets: following the budget, the British pound fell to its lowest ever level against the US dollar.

I don't see exactly why the unfunded tax cuts resulting in markets selling off British assets.

That's the way every wommynz goes, doesn't mean she wasn't hot one day or looked hot in that pic. With extreme make up you can make a once beautiful face still look pretty good, but changing the body is impossible. You only have a 10/20 year window to bang a hot broad, then you either have to upgrade to a younger one or stay to (continue to) raise and build up a great family.

Yeah yeah... She's still ugly and always has been. It's a misleading side pic. Kind of like a 40 yarder from behind that turns for a second then turns back.

Good god. Young vs. Old. I was right. Just takes a quick search is all I'm saying.

Just look at that yappy mouf.

Yous needs ta gets outa Coastal Norcal.

Or maybe not. If you've got a good wife that's worth a hellava lot.

Here's f'able at 45:

I knocked that bitch up 25 years ago and FORTUNATELY she had a miscarriage. Or she was just lying. Yes, that's a LOT of makeup but generally she's still hot. I avoid her like the plague but unfortunately she's pals with my baby sis on Facefuck and still won't leave me alone. 25 years later. After 5 baby daddies. Or more. I really lost count.

I call her the Louisiana Fruit Fly.

I've mentioned her on here before when there has been discussions about young men being man trapped. When I met her she had a 1-year old. I was thinking with the wrong brain. Cost me a fuck ton of money way back when. Took 10 years to climb out of that debt.

Thanks, married to someone significnatly younger than Liz, but that's not the point. Even if Al Sharpton's pic wasn't Liz it's still hot. Plenty of womynz have a short time frame where they are bangable, so she wasn't a beauty at very early adulthood either, so what. Maybe she only had 5-10 years peak beauty, who cares. Here's one that's decent paired with the right body from Al's pic above. A PUAs mission is to fuck womynz when they're hot, longevity of the hotness is irrelevant in that context. Yes, if you are looking to pick a lifelong wife and looks are important to you (they are to me), then Liz may not be your best bet, but probably not your worst either as at least she's keeping in shape. When you're 70 and still going strong you'll fuck the older pic above,it's all relative. Biomechanics will eventually get em all.

Now, If I have a great wife I grow old with that's another story,.
28   SoTex   2022 Oct 21, 9:37pm

... and, it seems I'll be taking after my grandfather who had no problems getting it up at 80 haha.. Heard from my cousin who heard it from his 2nd wife after his 1st died. TMI.
29   mell   2022 Oct 21, 9:39pm

Also CA (and UT) used to have the most beautiful womynz hands down up until 10-15 years ago or so,occasionally you can still find rare beauties. Wokeness/leftoidism has destroyed the natural beauty of the wommynz in CA, though they are generally less fat. Now the state is just average, similar to TX which had gorgeous womynz as well before everyone became fat. Now probably Midwest, AZ, UT are at the top imo, but hard to say these days.

I moved to SF in 97 and saw an ugly bitch yelling at a guy who could easily take down HOT chicks in Austin to, "Go get me a cantaloupe", at the grocery and knew I was in trouble.

Haha it's hard, the grass is always greener, but My wife is 10 years younger and has good genes, so that helps. I love kids, so I had to give up the rennaisance / eternal bachelor life for a solid Catholic marriage. But at least in that respect the downward slope of CA womynz beauty has greatly helped me staying away from temptation. Sure back in the days we were all hornier, but I'd say I still have pretty good T levels and a healthy sex drive. Back in the days a summer weekend in wine country would leave you with severe spermatoxicosis coming out of your eyeballs, the amount of hot chicks in the wineries was simply off the charts. Today it's an occasional 8+ every month or two, and we live there now. A lot of beauty left the SF bay area over the years, cost of living and the decline and awokening of SF being the main reasons.

Yes in terms of entitlement, expectations and feistiness SF was always bad, but herein also lies the great paradox. If you played the numbers game and were a bit of a funny dick without trying hard, they would always fuck you, as they were used to abusing rich nerdy tekkies, so ZFG attitude would pose them a welcome challenge.
38   SoTex   2022 Oct 22, 6:52am

Yep, truth. I had one say, "I'm so glad you're a scientist and not an engineer", in the process. Biotech still wasn't very big there then vs. tech, if it happens to be now I'm not sure.

I had plenty of fun there, but could have had more somewhere else.
39   Al_Sharpton_for_President   2022 Oct 22, 8:38am

Biotech was invented by UCSF back in the day, with regards to enabling cultured recombinant organisms to express a therapeutic human protein. And the presence of Genentech on their ever sprawling SSF campus created a natural biotech hub. Add the Sand Hill Road VC's, a skilled workforce being churned out by USCF, Stanford, etc, and you have the makings of an industry.

San Diego, too, has a lot of biotech. You've got the Salk Institute, Scripps Institute, UCSD there.

And of course, Boston has a lot of biotech. In fact, the entire state of Mass of Two Shits has a lot of biotech, due to legacy companies that supported biomedical research scattered throuhgout the state.

Seattle, Philly, and Rockville and Frederck Maryland ain't small potatoes, neither.

Lots of states have biotech, but Boston, the Bay Area and San Diego, are at the top of the list in the USA. Chy-Nah be doin' a lot, though.
40   SoTex   2022 Oct 22, 8:43am

Oh, I'm quite aware of that after working in SF bay area biotech for 15 years. In fact, one of my best friend there is a trust fund kid. His dad was the lawyer that founded genentech and is (was, I think he passed this past year) on the board of several prominent bay area biotechs. At a Christmas party his dad once told me, "I was a young lawyer in LA and some postdoc came into my office, pounded on my desk and said, 'I want to found a company based on recombinant DNA technology', and I said, 'recombinant what?!'" They moved north to hillsborough.

The past 10 years I've been working in biotech in the San Diego area. My current job is in SSF although I just moved to Texas and it's remote. This is the 13th biotech I've worked for right now. I was all over the bay area but when I was biotech was still small (and paid much less) vs. tech.

Late 90s I moved from the bench to bioinformatics. So I can basically work from anywhere at this point.
