“The reason people in Canada who are given MAiD seem peaceful is because they’re given a paralytic first so they’re completely paralyzed, then this drug is administered as one of the four and they start drowning to death.” ...
In February 2021, Zivot refuted the Canadian government’s claim that Midazolam, a drug used in MAiD, provided “relief from anxiety” and “comfort to the patient.”
Instead, he testified to the Canadian Senate that “muscle relaxants when used in MAiD will produce death by suffocation.”
Canadians Begin Hiring ‘Guardian Angels’ to Protect Hospital Patients from Euthanasia

The Canadian government’s plan to soon begin euthanizing citizens suffering from mental illness is facing a growing uprising from the public, conservative lawmakers, and concerned doctors.
The major backlash is swelling amid growing outrage over how vulnerable citizens, including veterans, are being railroaded into cheap “assisted suicide” instead of more expensive care.
A Conservative MP’s bill to stop Canada’s next planned expansion of assisted suicide is now rapidly gaining momentum, with support from the Euthanasia Prevention Coalition (EPC).
During a press conference in Ottawa, the EPC warned that Canada’s euthanasia program, officially called “Medical Assistance in Dying” (MAiD), has already gone far beyond its original intent.
Campaigners are arguing that it must not be expanded to people suffering from mental illness.
An alarming testimony before Canada’s House of Commons has blown open grave allegations that the Liberal government is ramping up pressure to euthanize military veterans under the nation’s rapidly expanding “assisted suicide” regime.
The explosive allegations were revealed in a parliamentary testimony from Kelsi Sheren, a Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) veteran.
Sheren told MPs during a hearing before the Canadian Veterans Affairs Committee that she has firsthand evidence showing the practice is far more widespread than officials admit.
She told the nation’s top lawmakers that she has evidence that multiple veterans have been pressured into being euthanized under the government’s Medical Assistance in Dying (MAiD) program.
Sheren testified that “over 20 veterans have confirmed being offered MAiD” instead of more expensive treatments.
“I have the proof, and I have proof of more,” she told lawmakers.
The claims follow recent reports that Canada’s socialized healthcare system is now saving $136 million a year by euthanizing patients instead of treating them.
Under current law, adults can apply for Medical Assistance in Dying (MAiD) even if they are not dying, so long as they have a chronic illness, a disability, or they are experiencing “suffering.”
But organizations such as Dying with Dignity Canada are lobbying for a seismic expansion by opening MAiD to children who are determined to be so-called “mature minors.”
Advocates argue that children who can “demonstrate full decision-making capacity” should be eligible for euthanasia.
Their proposal includes parental consent for those 15 and younger, but astonishingly, they claim the government should be allowed to euthanize 16- and 17-year-olds without their parents’ involvement.
Canada’s own lawmakers appear sympathetic.
In February 2023, the Special Joint Committee on Medical Assistance in Dying made a stunning declaration:
“Eligibility for MAiD should not be denied on the basis of age alone.”
D’Souza, a family physician and pain specialist, warned that the government’s push is directly influencing patient decisions.
“If a physician is suggesting euthanasia as an option or a treatment option for their pain or their suffering, then that is a very serious thing,” D’Souza said.
“As a patient is more likely to take this option given that a health professional has suggested it.
“I think it does severe harm to the doctor-patient relationship when physicians are now allowed and even suggesting euthanasia as a means to end their suffering.”
His warning centers around Health Canada’s 2023 “Model Practice Standard for Medical Assistance in Dying.”
The guidelines mandate doctors and nurses to pressure patients into “choosing” euthanasia while discussing care, effectively redefining suicide as medicine.
The guideline states practitioners “must take reasonable steps to ensure persons are informed of the full range of treatment options,” explicitly including MAiD.
However, in many cases, patients are being denied access to treatments, leaving them with no other option than to “choose” euthanasia.
Now, advocacy groups are openly pressuring the federal government to allow minors, including those as young as 12 years old, to qualify for doctor-administered euthanasia.
Push to Euthanize 12-Year-Olds with State-Funded Lethal Injections
“Dying With Dignity Canada,” one of the nation’s most influential pro-euthanasia organizations, has issued recommendations calling for so-called “mature minors” to be included in MAiD.
Their proposal goes even further and argues that 16- and 17-year-olds should be euthanized with lethal injections without parental consent if they meet broad eligibility criteria.
The group insists that “maturity,” not age, should determine whether a child can be killed by a medical professional.
DWDC position on eligibility for mature minors
DWDC agrees that the existing eligibility requirement that the person have a grievous
and irremediable medical condition should apply to mature minors.
DWDC acknowledges that Canadian society will likely expect a minimum age for
mature minors in the legislation, even though the emphasis at common law is on
capacity and maturity and not chronological age. For this
reason, DWDC asks that
Parliament amend the existing age requirement of 18 years of age to extend it to
persons: "at least 12 years of age and capable of making decisions with respect to
their health." As with adults, there should be a presumption of capacity for these
minors.
DWDC's position on safeguards for mature minors
DWDC is of the view that the safeguards that exist now are acceptable for eligible
mature minors.
DWDC recommends that the informed consent of a competent parent or guardian be
required for eligible minors seeking MAID who are 12 to 15 years of age inclusive, and
that MAID assessors be required to consult a competent parent or guardian for
eligible minors aged 16 and 17.
A heartbreaking and deeply alarming video has gone viral on social media showing a 7-year-old girl curled beside her 96-year-old great-grandfather during what her family openly described as their “final cuddle” before he was euthanized under the Canadian government’s expanding “assisted suicide” regime.
Euthanasia Now Accounts for Over 5% of All Deaths in Canada, Report Reveals
Canada’s government has released new data confirming that its rapidly expanding euthanasia regime continues to grow, with over five percent of all deaths in the country now coming from doctor-delivered lethal injections.
Health Canada’s Sixth Annual Report on Medical Assistance in Dying (MAiD) shows that 16,499 Canadians were killed by the government’s euthanasia program in 2024, representing 5.1 percent of all deaths.
It marks the highest percentage since euthanasia was legalized and is the latest sign that the Liberal government’s program is becoming deeply entrenched in the country’s healthcare system.
Booger says
Donnie got elected on the promise to fix that. One year later shit is not fixed.
Canadian Government Euthanizes ‘Young & Healthy’ 26-Year-Old for ‘Depression’
Canada’s euthanasia regime has claimed yet another young life after a 26-year-old man suffering from depression was euthanized by the government’s assisted death program, despite previously being rejected for the lethal injection by a doctor who said he was too “young and healthy” to be killed.
The devastating revelation was shared by his mother, Margaret Marsilla, in a heartbreaking Facebook post, who accused the socialized healthcare system’s doctors of using a “loophole” to kill her son.
Marsilla announced that her son, Kiano, had been killed through the Canadian government’s Medical Assistance in Dying (MAiD) system.
Canada’s state-run euthanasia regime has crossed a horrifying new line after an elderly woman was killed by the state after explicitly saying she wanted to live, according to an official government review.
Critics warn that the case exposes how Canada’s so-called “Medical Assistance in Dying” (MAiD) system is rapidly devolving into a machinery of coercion and death.
The woman, identified only as “Mrs. B”, was euthanized by the Canadian government within hours of objecting to “assisted suicide.”
She was reportedly euthanized by the government’s socialized healthcare system despite repeatedly stating that she refused euthanasia and wanted hospice care instead.
She Said “No,” and They Killed Her Anyway

A doctor approved Les Landry's application for medical assistance in dying, despite him saying poverty is a major factor in the decision to end his own life
Landry, 65, awaits verdict of second doctor who visited his home on Wednesday
Landry says if the second approval isn't given, he will 'shop' for another doctor willing to sign it off - something that's legal under Canada's euthanasia laws
He said benefit cuts mean 'sooner or later I just won't be able to afford to live'
Shocking case lays bare the relaxed approach to euthanasia in Canada, where experts say 'choosing to die is more accessible' than support for disabled people
