Maybe there is a lot of incompetence within the military as it has been weakened over the last 5 to 10 years ? Perhaps its standards have dropped a lot ?

One lesson is that the kibbutz relied a lot on the local military bases and police stations. Hamas sent is most seasoned to target the bases and stations. So the kibbutz should have had each adult at least with a 9 mm handgun. Its about self defense as you can't rely on the police all the time.

?? That makes no sense. If a Semitic Jew marries a local (German, say), then the male and female children of that couple have both Semitic and German genes. Now the male son marries a local girl, or even a mixed girl. That male still carries the Germanic genes, and his offspring have mixed in more German genes, and such will continue down the line.
