If we don’t fix this, will the retail industry be able to survive? There has always been shoplifting, but in the old days it was at a level that made it only a minor nuisance to the big box retailers. Unfortunately, now everything has changed.

Maybe this is part of Soros' plan. Kill off retail so that people are more dependent on Amazon etc. Our dependency is their strength.

It also alienates people from each other when they just sit at home and don't go out shopping. That prevents the formation of community, something also desired by Soros et al so that we have a harder time organizing opposition.

And it prevents people from driving to retail locations, which "saves the planet" for the billionaires.

They are still armatures physically risking themselves in some well publicized instances.

The Banksters have it down to a science.

Maybe stores in Democrat areas should go with the Costco model of charging a yearly membership fee and also qualifying who can be a member.

Hm... perhaps it's better people steal from the stores, because the next step is mugging.

That's awful. Just think, that's another 100 billion we could be sending to Ukraine.

It's not really costing the retailers anything. It's costing the honest consumers who end up paying higher prices that the retailers set in order to offset their losses.

The retailers will go bk cause the consumers cannot pay the raised prices, leaving only online stores, again by design by the leftoid globalist marxists, destroying places where people meet and exchange ideas. Every retailer paying taxes deserves a police force protecting them from pond scum

I was wondering how many posts it would take before someone would correctly point out that it's black people doing the stealing.

The next step is stealing it from your porch.

Stop selling jogger apparel.

Right, I’d agree the end game may be closing small retail, and pushing large retailers online, abandoning the in-person model. This to me is curiously like the COVID closures, where small business was whacked, and large survived but went heavily online. More centralization and less local control is the upshot — which happen to be stated goals of WEF types.

I mean, no one ‘accidentally’ relaxes theft laws, tells employees to stand down (or they’ll be prosecuted), and doesn’t see the obvious outcome of .. increased theft, increased prices, and ultimately store closures. More tellingly, this phenomenon is occurring all over the country — wherever Democrats have state or city control — at the same time a large-scale mobilization of the criminal fringe is occurring through HUD Section 8 vouchers. Few areas are insulated anymore, by design.

I’ll note, though, that upscale Dem areas like Marin remain as they were 30 years ago. No masses of newly built multi-family housing, no graffiti, no problems. It’s the land that time forgot, keeping key constituencies (wealthy boomer Dems) blissfully unaware of their policy impact.

Poverty is the issue for young boys and men. The bigger chunk of it is from women and young girls. Go into the dressing room to try on bras in a loose fitting shirt. Buy one and layer 2-3 underneath. You could walk out with $50-100 retail worth of bras easy as can be. Chick goes to get leggings wearing sweatpants. How the hell would you know she has them on underneath her sweatpants leaving the dressing room?

We do well, but women clothing is expensive to get quality. People want what others have and will steal for it.

Black per capita as a race steal the most. I'd say 20-30% of the women I know were either caught shoplifting or admitted to it. 13-25 is the demo for women stealing shit, almost always clothes. My wife was miss proper being the oldest and never did it. All 4 of her sisters got caught. Remember got caught. They likely did it a bunch. Hell, they still might in their 30's.

Clothing is a weird animal that I've never dug into. I know the cost is massively cheaper than was stores market it at. The problem is you have rail thin people up to land whales. So you have to have inventory for all these people. If people were just not fat prices could come down 20% overnight, maybe more. There should be no XXL or XXXL sizes. That's death clothing.... So if prices came down people would be less prone to steal. Or just call it like it is and someone starts an "I'm FAT" franchise of clothing stores. XL.

I'm weird.... I don't know how I go on these random tangents.

Whether it’s a store or a neighborhood, your goal in life is to price separate yourself from riff raff.
15   Tenpoundbass   2023 Jun 8, 6:02am

For the record, they can steal the one they made for me to buy, it isn't worth a fuck anyhow, and the company that sells it is a God Damned Sparkle fart Cum Gurgler. Not that I was going in that fucking store to buy a God Damn thing anyway. I think I just figured out this is the world's largest Insurance scam!

Ban black people?

Rampant shoplifting, crime in general, has been off the charts since the "Summer of Love." The lesson learned by these anarchists back then is that law enforcement can be, and is, overwhelmed. Consequently, there's not a whole lot that can be done about it.

The only solution is to remove repeat criminals off the streets permanently, but the ACLU, SPLC, and like minded groups would never stand for it.

We should all want a very large middle class. What needs to happen will never happen. IMO

Consequently, there's not a whole lot that can be done about it.

Employees aren't allowed to interact and even can be fired for interfering with theft. It's a joke. There are loss prevention people in pretty much most stores that are bigger. Plain clothed. They'll follow you around so you think they're just shopping. They have to catch you putting something in your pocket on the spot or come out of a dressing room with less.

They're not law enforcement, so you don't have to listen to them. The odds of them catching up to you after getting out of the store are slim to none. I've never stolen anything and don't advocate it, but I could steal something as a larger male with no issue. With covid and mask wearing it's rather trivial to do and not get caught even on camera. Masks were the absolute worse thing that could have happened to loss prevention departments at stores.

Even if caught, the consequence are trivial or nothing. Stealing a car or a Rolex from a watch shop might be a problem, but little can be done. That's why they have insurance. Raises the cost of goods for everyone and hurts the poor the most. I just order shit online at this point. I don't even want to go into a retail store and I'm in an extremely low crime area.

The robbers don't care and there are no real consequences.
Blacks figured out that they're immune to the "white legal system" and are acting accordingly.
Many that I talk to sound like beggars that need money from someone else, which they call "help."
Usually they keep their shoplifting and other bad acts secret, for some reason a girl I know tells me everything she and her friends and family do.
They really are from another planet.

Now Dallas is becoming a haven for shoplifters.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/shoplifting-up-73-in-dallas-as-retailers-rush-to-put-merchandise-out-of-reach/ar-AA1jx2l7

Dallas and Los Angeles, where shoplifting increased 109%, experienced the highest reported retail theft in the first half of this year, according to an analysis of 24 major cities by the nonpartisan Council on Criminal Justice.

he data helps to explain new scenes around Dallas.

At a Walmart in northeast Dallas flashing lights frame a camera above an aisle of locked cases holding men’s underwear, socks and wallets. It comes with a warning: “Security camera in use.” Electric toothbrushes are also behind locked cases. The electric razors are behind lock and key at a nearby Target.

Kroger has added security gates to some Dallas stores to prevent quick exits of full shopping carts of consumables such as laundry detergent. Tide and Oxi are behind new locked cases at a Kroger on Mockingbird Lane. A box asks shoppers to press the button if they need help. Armed guards in uniform are more visible in Dallas stores and malls.

In a society where, in some quarters, 2 + 2 can = 5, why should shoplifting be illegal?

Just like you cant have nice things when Obama's sons are around. Some sheltered lib that cant think outside thier bubble thought it was a good idea for self checkout.
