Dead Pool kinna depends on whether he is exfiltrated for services rendered and winds up in the old spies home somewhere with plastic surgery and a lobotomy and a faked death. Typical apparatchik retirement plans don't seem to favor him, but he doesn't have such a unique look that he can't blend in with a little work and a few billion in purloined Globalist fiat money.
The Globalist mother ships usually like to get their monies repatriated, however, which isn't good for the apparatchik pension plans and that is always easier with a cut throat than with a negotiation.

Notice Putin has not provided clear concessions other than his initial concessions before the Russian invasion. Its a war of attrition and endurance.
That keeps the West guessing and hoping they are grinded down to the point they treat Poland and Baltic states as the same as Ukraine in regards to being an outsider (despite being part of NATO).
