Sounds unconstitutional.

Charge the fucker for conspiracy to commit for any crime that takes place in Albuquerque. The lack of people able to stop the crime because of his illegal order renders the fucker at fault.

It's more constitutional than his order..

He should arrest her. I love James Lindsay, he sees how the Left works. Don't just be satisfied with non-enforcement, push harder.

Yes!

Now that would actually be defending the Constitution.

The US military should also honor their oaths.

New Mexico governor pays $62,500 to former staffer in sexual harassment settlement

Public financial disclosures for New Mexico Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham's campaign show five monthly payments of $12,500 for "legal expenses."

New Mexico Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham has reached an at least $62,500 settlement with a former campaign staffer who accused her of sexual harassment, according to public campaign financial filings and a spokesman for the governor. ...

A couple days later, Hallinan told local media that Lujan Grisham, 61, had poured a bottle of water on his crotch and then slapped and grabbed his crotch through his pants. He said the incident happened "in front of everybody."

Who has the authority to charge the Gov?

WRT conceales it's just posturing as they have no way to know. As for open carry - it's been made illegal in CA for how many years now? Anybody charged over that?

The sheriff in the respective county can, and should, have files charged and make an arrest.

The people of New Mexico have been flooding the streets in protest after the state’s Democrat governor violated their Second Amendment rights with an unconstitutional gun ban.

Patriots gathered in Old Town Albuquerque to protest against the suspension of open and concealed carry laws by Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham.

As Slay News reported, Lujan Grisham signed an executive order last week to strip the people of Albuquerque of their God-given rights under the U.S. Constitution.

The governor issued an emergency “public health” order on Friday to suspend the open and concealed carry of firearms in the state’s largest city of Albuquerque and Bernalillo County for 30 days.

Not sure about that. The only recourse would be a judge declares her order unconstitutional, or the citizens do a recall. A sheriff does not have standing to arrest a governor for making a decree. The sheriff can refuse to enforce that order, however.

On Monday, the gun ban’s very first day, democrat Bernalilllo County Sheriff John Allen, who Governor Lujan appointed to office, held a press conference and called her gun ban “unconstitutional,” vowing his office would not enforce the order. “The temporary ban challenges the foundations of our constitution,” he explained, “and I take my oath seriously.”

https://x.com/beauhightowerdn/status/1701288668554731646

Displaying dangerous levels of hubris, especially considering what would happen shortly, Governor Lujan clapped back at Sheriff Allen, sarcastically but ironically telling reporters “I don’t need lessons in the constitution from the police.”

Yes, Governor. Yes, you do. You need those lessons.

Next up, in the face of multiple lawsuits challenging the order, on Tuesday New Mexico’s Attorney General sent Lujan a letter saying his office was refusing to defend her in the lawsuits over her unconstitutional gun ban, because his “duty to uphold and defend the constitutional rights of every citizen takes precedence” and he did “not believe passes constitutional muster”:

That didn’t give Michelle very much time to find replacement counsel to defend her gun ban in court, since the first emergency hearing was the next day. And, haha, how do you suppose the judge viewed the fact that the state’s own attorney general refused to defend the gun ban order? ...

So then yesterday, quite predictably given the Attorney General’s ejecting himself from Lujan’s crashing political tamale truck, only three days into her burrito-induced gun ban, an Albuquerque federal judge pulled the plug by issuing a temporary injunction pending a full hearing, and all the chaos caused by Lujan’s poorly-considered spicy hallucination was finally over.

Lujan bravely delivered the bad news herself, personally, in a tweet that vowed she would “never stop fighting” — with reality, or with the Constitution, or with common sense, or with something, she wasn’t specific...

Let us count all the ways this story is monumentally terrific news.

Using the pandemic as a model, Governor Lujan (D-NM) tested out using her broad executive powers to declare a public health emergency to short-circuit the state’s legislative branch and unilaterally invoke a hypothetical “public health exception” to the Constitution.

But it failed, and it failed badly and quickly.

How badly? Even though Lujan’s odious order was carefully limited to only thirty days and one county, frontline democrat officials promptly and publicly publicly disavowed the ban. They didn’t want to have anything to do with it. ...

It remains to be seen how badly damaged the Governor will be, politically. But it’s bad. She basically just got a vote of “no confidence” from her own party officials in a story that’s getting international scrutiny. And it demonstrates a kind of profound political ineptness, because she failed to get political consensus from her own people before attempting her spicy plan.

The bigger significance of this story is that nobody — even democrats — seems to have an appetite for the “public health exception” notion anymore. If this was a Chinese trial balloon, it burned up, Hindenburg-style, right on the airstrip. Oh, the humanity!

These people are truly delusional. And it's not just AG's who will hang them out to dry. The deep state will turn it's back on an obvious loser just as quickly. After this debacle she'll be lucky to get a job at McDonald's.

“When danger reared its ugly head, He bravely turned his tail and fled. Brave Sir Robin ran away.” — Monty Python and the Holy Grail.

Yesterday, New Mexico’s Piñon Post ran a story headlined, “Amid lawsuits and impeachment calls, Lujan Grisham leaving for Taiwan trip.”

She’s literally running as far away as she can get. ...

Yesterday morning, five days after it started, the Governor gave up on her awesome plan to end the scourge of private gun ownership. She held a press conference announcing she was “modifying” the now-enjoined gun ban, by limiting its scope to only playgrounds and public parks. For the next 30 days.

Michelle did not explain how her new order would accomplish anything except frustrate the pending lawsuits.

In my recent battles, I have learned that a go-to strategy for local governments responding to a lawsuit is to tweak the unconstitutional ordinance a little by amending it, and then argue the lawsuit is moot, since it was based on a different, now obsolete law. But rarely, when it looks really bad, they just give up, throw in the towel, and reverse course.

It looks like that’s just what Governor Grisham did. She threw in the dictatorial towel, hanging on to a tiny scrap of her gun ban to save face.

Given her legal trouble for grabbing the cock of a subordinate, I have to say that she has that "thousand cock stare" that Heartiste of blessed memory used to go on about: https://heartiste.org/?s=thousand+cock

If these morons want to drastically reduce gun violence, make gun possession by a felon or ex con a 10-15 year minimum sentence. Make all cops wear cameras, with the penalty for failing to activate their body came being termination AND criminal charges.

This accomplished multiple things. First and foremost it preserves 2nd ammendment rights for most of us. Second it keeps known dangerous people from using firearms…and honestly encourages them to follow the straight and narrow. Finally, it keeps suspects from falsely claiming the cops planted a gun on them. And keeps the corrupt a-hole cops from planting a gun.

None of the politicians care though. And the moron voters in California are too dumb to recognize my genius.

Too many people like to keep things outside the bounds of black and white. They like to encourage grey areas. Bad people manipulate and it's much easier to do that when solutions are not black and white.

I attended church when my children were young. My adult class assigned a book called "Seeing Grey". If religion isn't black and white, I don't know what is. The teacher of the class was a government employee as a lawyer. I told him the grey areas are where lawyers, politicians and Satan like to play. He didn't like that.

Earlier this month, Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham (D-NM) announced an unconstitutional gun ban for 30 days in Albuquerque and the surrounding Bernalillo County. Following a loss in the courts, she was forced to amend that order, but that doesn't mean all has been forgiven. Far from it. State Reps. John Block and Stefani Lord, both Republicans, raised the option of impeachment immediately following the order, and they're still moving forward with it.

Unconstitutional actions of the various power drunk KommieKunt Soros Fecal Impactions, from gate to being squelched in the courts seem to be getting shorter action/reaction times.

Some ready response Constitutional reaction groups must be in place, much more than the Chinese fire drills of the past, in which everybody were confused and in disarray that the gate keepers were violating their oaths of office outright.

Some groups seem to be formed in California, too, challenging the unconstitutional measures out of the gate by the illegally installed and unconstitutional legislating legislature. Hopefully, this trend will continue and grow.

I believe our Founders called such groups 'armed militias'.
