The Wall Street Journal ran an intriguing story yesterday headlined, “Hamas Militants Had Detailed Maps of Israeli Towns, Military Bases and Infiltration Routes.” The sub-headline added, “Documents found on Hamas militants show scale of planning behind deadly attack.”

Nothing like this has ever happened before. Michael Milshtein, a former Israeli military intelligence officer and head of Palestinian Studies Forum at Tel Aviv University, confirmed “There is nothing close to this level of planning in any steps Hamas had done in the past.”

The newly-discovered plans suggest more sophisticated actors must have been involved. One 14-page document described in the article was labeled “top secret” in Arabic and dated June 15, 2023. It described a detailed plan for infiltrating Mefalsim, one of the small collective communities near Gaza (called a kibbutz), and taking its residents hostage. The document included maps and aerial pictures of the town, and disclosed intel that the kibbutz held 1,000 “civilians” guarded by a volunteer security force.

I expect it was allowed to happen to distract everyone from other issues (like the death of 8 year old Israeli toxxine poster boy Yonatan Erlichman from a heart attack) and to provide justification for stomping on Gaza.

Not that Hamas isn't guilty. The murder of random civilians for political reasons is the very definition of terrorism. Hamas must be wiped out.

In his defense, I think he just means a gun.

Certainly, but that careless phrasing just plays into the anti-Second Amendment types that claim an AR-15 is "assault rifle weapon of the battlefield."

They sent in likely their grad students from Gaza University with about 1 month of military training and a promise that they 'll go to heaven and fuck 100 virgins if they die for the cause.

I think this is a little above and beyond that, although above and beyond is hard to evaluate with the propaganda war even hotter than the ground war. I wouldn't underestimate. That may have been a mistake to begin with.

I don't think the 2nd amendment is going anywhere at this point. People give the government a chance, then they abused their power.

They just poisoned 1/2 the country over a fake pandemic and an injection. I think their time is up. They've completely fucked up on that one. I'm actually surprised there hasn't been a revolution, and actually, there might be one going on right now - our media completely lies to us, and our major internet companies censor information.

No revolution around here. I do not see any recall petitions anywhere, and early voting and mail in ballots are still in play for Nov 7.

“[It took the IDF] 6 hours! [Hamas was] live streaming the killing of Jews. Did someone in the government say stand down? That is a legitimate non-conspiracy question.

Actually, this is the very definition of a conspiracy. I think he meant to contrast the FBI created "theory" phrase.

It absolutely is battlefield weapon. The Second Amendment isn't about hunting or home defense. It's primary purpose is country defense, which requires military grade rifles. They didn't fight the Revolution with pea-shooters. I believe Jefferson specifically invokes the idea of Revolution as a necessity to preserve freedom, that freedom is maintained only by the blood of patriots.

Damn straight - colonial forces had rifles, while the english had smoothbore muskets. That's why guerilla sniping worked against english troops, who otherwise had to fire fusillades of massed musket balls, which provided stopping power, but not precision.

Israel made the mistake of using logic instead of emotion. It claimed that, number one, it did not conduct any air strikes in that area of Gaza yesterday. Two, it reported Hamas launched 1,500 rockets toward Israel right down the block from the hospital, a few seconds before the explosion. Third, the IDF said 40% of Hamas rockets normally malfunction and often hit friendlies by accident. Fourth, at least three local videos, two released by Hamas, appear to show the Hamas rocket launch with one fireball returning to earth along with an explosion. Fifth, Israel claimed the Hamas rocket actually fell into the hospital parking lot, and video evidence appeared to support that claim.

Then later, while hardliners nitpicked the first five pieces of evidence, Israel released an audio intercept between two Hamas operatives who appeared to confirm the explosion was caused by a Hamas rocket. One can be heard explaining, “It seems that they fired this from the cemetery behind the hospital, then the way that it failed and it landed on the hospital.”

It is weird how the IDF intercepted this particular discussion but somehow missed all the discussions that might’ve warned them of the original Hamas attack, but I digress.

Exactly.

The only way for Ukraine to win, again IF I can trust what I'm hearing, is to put NATO in, because there's something like 400,000 Ukrainians dead. Their military is destroyed. Russia hasn't been going after civilians, they - apparently - have very low "collateral damage" in comparison to the United States which is staggering. It's estimated the US killed 800,000 Iraqis, but how they were killed is not stated. Starvation? Disease? I don't know. I do know the US purposely attacks infrastructure like sewage and water lines.

Planning vs. Ops. Since no plan survives the battlefield, Ops comms are necessary, but planning can be kept secret.

There have been large scale offensives bigger than this where Sigint was successfully hidden (Battle of the Bulge for one, both Six Day and Yom Kippur Wars on opposite sides for examples).

During the spring, Netanyahu led a conservative takeover of Israel’s government following a disastrous leftist cycle. One of the new conservative government’s first projects was to prune back a law allowing Israel’s Supreme Court to overturn any democratically-passed legislation that the Court felt was inconsistent with Israel’s values — a blank check. The reform — which was ultimately successful — was opposed by none less than the U.S. deep state and one Joseph Robinette Biden.

And, although officially denied, leaked documents showed the conservative reforms were also opposed by members of Israel’s own top security agency, Mossad:

To pull the threads together, what I think Patrick is suggesting (without explicitly saying so) is that the U.S. deep state, working with the Israeli deep state, engineered October 7th. They did it to punish Netanyahu for the Supreme Court reforms, and to purge Israel’s new conservative government. The deepstate termites may have accomplished it by sabotaging Israel’s security software, on which the country is almost completely dependent.

Admittedly, it’s a bold, 9/11-level conspiracy theory, but so far it’s the only fact-based theory going.

Ibid:

💣 Soon it will be politically too late for Israel to invade Gaza on the ground, and an invasion is looking less and less likely, for three reasons. First, the U.S. is stepping up pressure on Israel to postpone the Gazan ground invasion, for the obvious rationale that I predicted. The New York Times made the case this morning at the top of the fold:

It’s the hostages. On the Israeli side, the Times of Israel broke the bad news to the Israeli public:

The longer the delay, the less likely politically possible it will be for Israel to invade Gaza at all. And if, at the end of the day, Israel does not invade Gaza after the October 7th attacks, Israel’s conservative government will undoubtedly fall, delighting U.S. and Israeli deep state color revolutionaries who failed to abolish Netanyahu with nationwide protests in the summer.

Remember the Chuck Schumer rule: they have seven ways from Sunday to get back at you.

Second, Israel’s internal leftist forces are starting to stretch and get ready to take advantage of the situation in the domestic politics arena. In other words, the period of unity is coming to a close. Israel’s papers this weekend were packed with swelling criticism of Netanyahu, neatly summarized in this Haaretz example:

Prime Minister Netanyahu faces irresistible public pressure to start the invasion, but on the other hand, the United States — his most critical ally, needed to hold off opportunistic enemies while Israel fights with Hamas — is flat telling him not to do it. I would bet my next paycheck that when Biden flew around the globe for a one-hour face-to-face meeting last week it was to warn Bibi not to invade.

Third, Israel’s other enemies are lining up to invade Israel when Israel invades Gaza. All last week, pressure continued mounting along Israel’s northern border, as other regional enemies waited with barely-concealed glee for Israel to commit its forces to Gaza in the south. For example, Lebanon-based terrorist group Hezbollah spent last week steadily increasing rocket attacks from the north, while Iran and Israel traded threats. ..

Officially, Israel will not explain the delay, not even to its own officers. Four senior Israeli defense officials told the Times they did not even know the reason for the repeated postponements. My guess is that’s because the delay is due to politics and not military strategy.

OK, maybe it was Mossad that allowed or even orchestrated the massacre of 1400 Israelis just to get at Netanyahu.

If they supposedly "confiscated weapons" how did that one kibbutz who had their act together and repealed the attack still had them? Fact is - most weapons there are not stored in homes, so there no need to confiscate anything: when terrorists are roaming outside your house it's too late to go pick it up from the offsite storage room. That one kibbutz got lucky the gal who had the key didn't get cut off from the rest and had time to open the storage and hand out weapons. The whole arrangement is highly idiotic, imo.

Besides, did they also confiscate weapons from the army? Because at least one base was overrun too.

So Netanyahu had good reason to allow that hideous attack—to get Israelis to forget about the toll of “vaccination” and their anger over his attempt to seize control of Israel’s courts. Of course, such “wag the dog” manipulation has been used forever to get people to forget news inconvenient to the government—as (say) Ronald Reagan scored his smashing military triumph in Grenada, to “save the medical students” there (though they were in no danger), and thereby change the subject from the 241 Marines killed in Lebanon (where they’d been sent for no good reason); and as Bill Clinton bombed civilian neighborhoods in Belgrade, to halt what “our free press” portrayed as Serbian “genocide,” and thereby change the subject from the scandal over his dalliance with Monica Lewinsky.
67   RWSGFY   2023 Oct 29, 7:35pm

If this is the "distraction" it's way worse than the thing it was supposed to distract from. Nobody really cares about "failed vaccine" all that much anyway, because people who took it are extremely invested in their "right" decision and woukd rather kill the messenger than admit they were taken for a ride. Thus I find the whole "distraction" theory extremely silly. Netanyahu is political dead man walking because of what happened on Oct 7.

https://alexberenson.substack.com/p/why-isnt-israel-more-focused-on-the

Why isn't Israel more focused on the Hamas leaders in Qatar?

Hamas committed crimes against humanity - not Jews, humanity - on Oct. 7. Why are its top officials living in luxury in Qatar's skyscrapers and villas?

Osama bin Laden was Saudi. Not Afghan.

But after bin Laden planned the Sept. 11 attacks from camps in Afghanistan, no one doubted the United States could demand Afghanistan’s Taliban government evict him - and attack Afghanistan if the Talibs refused.

The leaders of Hamas are Palestinian. Not Qatari.

Yet two weeks after a Hamas attack on Israel that in its barbarity dwarfed Sept. 11, they continue to live in luxury in Qatar, a tiny Persian Gulf city-state.

As it prepares to invade the Gaza Strip, home to the Hamas fighters who slaughtered over 1,400 Israeli civilians, Israel seems to have forgotten its claim on Qatar, home to the men behind that slaughter.

In a conflict that is both necessary and has no good answers, focusing pressure on Qatar and attacking Hamas’s leaders there directly may be Israel’s cleanest short-term play, giving it the best hope of holding the moral high ground.

(Why? And how might Israel handle Qatar? Answers below the paywall.)

(Welcome to Qatar, American servicemen and -ladies. You’ll enjoy the pleasant 130-degree desert heat, the camels, and the proximity to one of the world’s most vicious terrorist groups!)

Until now, Qatar was probably best known for hosting the 2022 World Cup and for being less cool than Dubai, its high-flying, model-hosting neighbor to the east.

A thumb-shaped peninsula 40 miles wide and 100 miles long, Qatar has 2.7 million residents, but only 315,000 citizens, about 1/25000th of the world’s population. It also has 11 percent of the world’s proven natural gas reserves, giving it hydrocarbons - and money - to burn.

Like Kuwait and other super-rich ministates of the Gulf, Qatar’s main preoccupation is its continued existence. For a generation, its leaders have walked a fine line, trying to convince its neighbors that it can play the role of a semi-honest broker in the Muslim world. Qatar is Sunni Muslim, but it works with Iran, which is Shia, as well as the Taliban in Afghanistan, who are hardline Sunni.

Qatar has also made itself a crucial ally to the American military by hosting a huge American air field, the Al Udeid Air Base. With over 11,000 airmen and soldiers, Al Udeid has become the largest United States military installation in the Middle East.

Amazingly, Qatar built its relationship with the United States even as it actively supported Hamas and other Islamist terror groups.

To some extent, Qatar has spent the last 20 years playing the same game Saudi Arabia once did. It funds terror groups (always outside its borders, of course) to keep its Muslim bonafides, while at the same time helping the United States knock them down.

The Saudis realized the limits of these schemes after Sept. 11, and Qatar’s support for radical Islam and its relationship with Iran grew to frustrate Saudi Arabia so deeply that in 2017 it blockaded Qatar. But the Saudis never invaded - how could they, given the huge American base 20 miles from central Doha? - and in 2021 they dropped the blockade.

But of all the games Qatar played, helping Hamas was in some ways the lowest risk.

Arab and Muslim countries have little choice but to support Palestinians against Israel. And under Benjamin “Bibi” Netanyahu, Israel itself allowed Qatar to funnel money to Hamas for most of the last decade.

Netanyahu knew that as long as Hamas - whose charter demands the destruction of Israel - controlled Gaza, Israel would not face serious pressure to make peace with Palestinians. His plan was to keep life in Gaza barely tolerable as Israel continued to prosper and moved settlers into the other Palestinian territories West Bank (and negotiate a broader peace with other Arab countries).

The slaughter of Oct. 7 - in which Hamas terrorists killed the equivalent of 50,000 Americans - has blown up Netanyahu’s cynical scheme. (I know some conservative and Israeli readers complain about this framing of the situation, but the truth is what it is.)

So, no, Israel can no longer live with Hamas. It must destroy the group, or die trying.

But as Israel tries, it must ensure that the world doesn’t entirely turn against it.

And it must at least give the civilians of Gaza a chance to leave Hamas behind. Not that they will, necessarily. They may hate Jews more than they love life. Then again, they may not.

Part of the answer to those puzzles lies in Qatar. Israel must keep the focus on the atrocities of Oct. 7, the atrocities that started this war, and on the men behind them.

It must demand that Qatar no longer harbor the leadership of Hamas - Ismail Haniyeh, the Hamas political chief, and the rest of the officials who, directly or indirectly, ordered the beheadings and ritual executions and slaughter of more than 1,000 people.

Haniyeh and the rest can take their chances in Gaza with the people they claim to represent. (Israel should even guarantee their safe passage.) They can turn themselves in and try the International Civilian Court. Or they can submit directly to Israeli justice, the way that Adolf Eichmann and other Nazis did in the decades after the Nuremberg courts closed.

Whatever choice they make, they’ll have more of a chance than the Jews their men slaughtered two weeks ago.

Bibi Netanyahu is in a bad position to make this demand. Doing so will throw the spotlight on the way he worked with Qatar to help Hamas. But he must, and if he will not, the Israeli government must find a leader who can.

Of course, Qatar will not agree to those conditions (though if the United States puts enough pressure on it, it might tell the Hamas leadership to head across the Gulf to Iran - a step that Haniyeh would surely prefer not to take as it would make Hamas even more dependent on Iran).

But simply by asking, Israel will put the spotlight on the atrocities, the men who ordered them, and the regimes that support those men. And it will also put Qatar on public notice that it intends to assassinate every leader of Hamas it can find, and that if Qatar will not evict them Qatar’s own civilians will be at risk.

Those actions wouldn’t be unethical, much less illegal. They are exactly the tack the United States took in Afghanistan 22 years ago.

Lie down with terrorists, wake up dead.

What the world needs is not more war, but attacks on the people at the very top who are arranging wars and terrorist attacks and mass injection campaigns.

I suspect they all have "gentelmen's agreements" to not whack each other.

A flashing red light that MI6/Tavistock/RIIA Brits are purposely stoking the Uniside conflict. Is their spearhead servant state ripe for harvest?

Yeah, they are going to cave just because of that.

Really, how many different ways can Bibi fuck the pooch? He refers to two other false flags? Is he broadcasting his own purposeful false flag as if everybody is completely gobsmacked idiot that previous notorious false flags were somehow real history?

This is something I've worried about and seen getting progressively worse since the Scamdemic. People have invested so much of their personal worth in lies, that they are now progressively committing more and more to fictional realities, fragmenting the truth in such a way that they may struggle for years to come back from, if they ever do.

Literally creating their own Matrix/prison for their mind.

As I suspected the Israel establishment which has been conspiring and stablng Bibi in the back at every turn. Was behind the intelligence lapse that allowed the attack, and why the security forces stood down, to allow Hamas to butcher the innocent civilians.
Bibi's response to Hamas must also equally address the rogue bad actors in his deep state, that is in lockstep with the NWO to thwart populist leaders, trying to end the Global cabal. If he does not then he is equally at fault and part of the problem. I think this was done so he would take the fall for it, and finally be expelled from power. If you remember he was persecuted and robbed of a previous election, and almost thrown in jail. The same playbook that persecuted Balsinario, Trump and several other populist leaders.
