Because the Democrats and the Media are gearing up for the big switcheroo and starting to condition the battlefield for Biden's exit.
There is no way Biden is running.
They are waiting for the Republicans to nominate Trump and then we will find out Biden has a sudden health issue preventing another run and the Democrats will run some fresh face to no-name Democrat Governor who will be championed as a "younger" and more "moderate" alternative and with little time for the Media or Republicans to vet.
Unlike the Republicans, Democrats are ruthlessly smart in their desire to win elections and retain power.

The polling data showed Biden trailing Trump in Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada and Pennsylvania among voters while leading in Wisconsin. Combining the data from all six states, Trump led Biden by 48 percent to 44 percent. The numbers improve a bit for Biden if only likely voters are counted, but Trump remains ahead everywhere except Wisconsin and Michigan.
The six states polled have proved decisive in the Electoral College in recent elections, a trend that is expected to continue in 2024.
