Daly himself was buried just down the street from where I grew up ages 0-9:

Don't know what they did with Big Mike, the linebacker drag apparition, but the current Mike cartoon isn't the same person: higher forehead, narrower shoulders, younger, etc. etc.

Of course, they still have residual stupids to harvest so the show must go on.

The original Big Mike must have remains on some underground sacrificial alter somewhere. The original was gettng too fleshy and beefy to foist it off any more, and was probably afraid of the kinetic Barry.
