Nobody wants to be manipulated by a corrupt media establishment -- and it is corrupt. And there's an election coming up. Best not to say anything that might help the other side. We get it.

But they're wrong. The Chinese coronavirus is a major event. It will affect your life. And by the way, it's definitely not just the flu.

In a typical year, the flu in this country has a mortality rate of about one in a thousand. The overall death rate for this virus, by contrast, is as high as 3.4 percent. That's 34 times deadlier.

AND

NEW YORK (AP) — Fox News Channel’s Tucker Carlson says he felt a “moral obligation” to meet with President Donald Trump and warn him personally about the seriousness of the coronavirus pandemic.

Carlson told Vanity Fair that “I didn’t feel it was my role” but was convinced by his wife to meet with Trump at Mar-a-Lago on March 7. Two nights later on his Fox show, he issued a pointed warning to viewers to prepare for the coming storm.

It speaks to both Fox News’ influence with the president and his supporters that a cable news host was able to contact the White House and successfully request the two-hour meeting. Carlson drove to the president’s resort from his Florida home, ironically on the day some guests at Mar-a-Lago were exposed to the virus.

He declined a request to speak to The Associated Press about it on Wednesday, and the White House had no comment on a private meeting.

“People you know will get sick,” Carlson said that night. “Some may die. This is real. That’s the point of this script — to tell you that.”

Tucker is a brand. He's probably the smartest one that was working at Fox news in November 2020.
I'm sure every Fox host was fully aware that Fox news was going to be an accomplice to the election steal. It was up to FOX news to announce the illegitimate winner, and make optics that shutting down the vote count. midnight vote drops. and month long extended vote tallying, and ballots missing signatures and dates was perfectly legal.

Tucker was smart enough to realize that the Republican voter didn't buy it. Fox news became persona non grata in every republican voter's home. He knew his best bet would be to break away and distance himself from the Fox debacle and go it alone as a stand alone media entity.

He had weeks of pre election knowledge to what was going to go down and never said nothing.
He should have done his self righteous grand standing before the election and blew the whistle on Fox's plans.
The way he carries on and the way many on the right treat him. It's like that's exactly what he did.

I also found out Tucker's Dad was in charge of Voice of America and the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, which is... interesting.

In March 2020, we still had Democrats claiming it was racist to avoid Chinese New Year celebrations, halt flights from China, identify the virus as a “China virus” and so on. They encouraged people to “hug an Asian.” The alpha variant looked bad, with people dropping dead on Chinese videos. Maybe those weren’t real, who knows (but no one knew then either).

I don’t think we can condemn Carlson for caution early on, especially when team Dem was lining up behind the nothing-burger stand. Their pivot to totalitarian state mid-March was truly a phenomenon.

This hate-on for Tucker is a bit much. Sure, he had a guest that questioned the WW2 narrative. He’s put his neck out more than most and is actively campaigning for Trump all month. No circular firing squads, right?

Tucker has a motive, and I suspect he's part of the Deep State "Pincer attack" brigade.

You could have seen Tucker Carlson for the dishonest lying grifter that he is when:

- Leaked texts from 2020 showed him deliberately lying to his audience about Trump.

Or when...

- He deceptively edited an interview with Kanye West to make him seem rational and normal.

Or when...

- He dismissed people's reactions to the horrors of the October 7th m-ssacre saying we should focus on our problems at home - particularly the fentanyl crisis, only to run to Europe a few weeks later to cover a protest in an obscure town.

Or when...

- He spoke at an Arab summit to trash America and sing Russia's praises.

Or when...

- He misattributed foreign policy positions to Ben Shapiro and suggested that Shapiro hates America and wants his children to d-e.

Or when...

- He refused multiple overtures by Ben Shapiro to have an open conversation and discuss their differences after relentlessly attacking him.

Or when...

- He ran to platform and comfort Candace Owens to bond over their mutual hatred for Ben Shapiro immediately after being fired from the Daily Wire for her weird obsession with deranged antisemitic conspiracy theories.

Or when...

- He specifically sought out a notoriously antisemitic and pro H-mas Christian pastor from the Palestinian territories to interview him about Israel's supposed mistreatment of Christians.

More interesting things:

Or when he teamed up with the extreme left enviromental obstructionists to block Pebble Mine (the greatest infrastructure project in Alaska state history since the pipeline). It was because Eric Trump had his bachelor party at an expensive lodge and the owner didn’t want his wealthy clients to fly over a gravel road on the way in. Thousands of jobs lost both directly and indirectly. All so some elite lodge owners and hunters could have land access exclusivity in an area specifically allotted for resource development benefitting the people of Alaska! The company had already payed 1 billion for the mining lease…what resource development company wants to invest in America when even the “right” stabs you in the back. Tucker ran the hit piece. A new Army Corp of Engineers authority was placed in Alaska and the 30 year study and permit approval was denied over night. I don’t think Trump was involved honestly, but his sons and the EPA were definitely colluding. Typical favors for friends. Anyone claiming to support limited government and tyranny (even in economic form) should be weary of Tucker and friends. He’s only better in contrast to the MSM. We have a long ways to go for liberty.

Agreed.

No journalist should be your go to person for everything. If you comment on public affairs your whole life you will make many mistakes, at least he admitted to quite a few. Also let's not forget he got schooled by Steward (who later became a partisan hack) back then when he was working at Crossfire shilling for the status quo. He def changed after they canceled it

Dropping disagreements is a two way street. I'll stop attacking the Wokeright IF the Wokeright drops all their critical theories peddling until after the election.

The Wokeright thinks criticism of their assertions and open debate is "Censorship", wants to stop being criticized by the Center Right, but won't stop shilling.

Geez, I’m supposed to be doing yard work today. That’s quite a list, but to briefly address.

1) I’d need to see the “leaked texts,” in part because the rest of the list looks like molehills.

2) The Kanye interview, for one, was two parts long (each at least an hour). Some impressive editing if that stream of consciousness was somehow interrupted by Tourette’s outbursts.

3) He had a different reaction to October 7th than you or those with personal connections to Israel, focusing more on this country. Perhaps he feared Israel trying to encourage US military interventionism. It certainly has precedent.

4) Need to see the Arab summit or a transcript. US has made serious errors in Middle East policy, not least of which was invading Iraq, funding Al-Nusra/ISIS (“moderate rebels” in Syria), destabilizing Libya. I’d criticize neo-con foreign policy too. Good for Russia stabilizing Syria or ISIS would have more training grounds.

5) Oh no, had pet issues with Ben Shapiro, who doesn’t “give a good goddamn about the so-called browning of America.” He’s conservative insofar as it serves Israel’s needs, like many neo-cons.

6) Candace Owens has certainly gone off reservation lately. People can remain friendly without being considered “giving aid and comfort to the enemy,” to quote a Bush-era absurdity.

7) cancelling the Pebble Mine was a great idea. Open pit gold mining in one of the largest unspoiled wildernesses in America? Yeah, no. And that’s my field.

The area was already approved for resource extraction until friends of the Resort Owner involved themselves in getting the Government to close it up.

In my opinion, Tucker is just shilling for the "Divide the Right" plan at the OSS Deep State

Tucker Carlson and friends are "just asking questions" and "just having conversations" like how Woke teachers are "just asking questions" about how many sex partners fifth graders have had and "just having conversations" with your kids about their sex and sexuality.

Kids in a closed, mandated environment vs adults seeking interviews and information at their leisure. Find the ten differences. Both do use the phrase “just having conversations” though!

It’s going to be a hard sell convincing people TC is for censorship and sensitive snowflake treatment, or that his father’s job rubbed off on him. He was a Bush and war-friendly journalist until 15 years ago, party line enough to work on CNN. People can change their understanding and opinions, particularly as the government shifts its approach to Americans. He’s effectively a pariah to those in power now.

Funny, he was confident to offer his strong opinion on Churchill and the Logistics Oopsie (Never heard of the Extermination and Comissar Order I guess) when he was on with Tucker. After being invited to debate a noted historian, he now needs time to do more research. Bwak bwak bwak, chicken!
