I've looked at my voters pamphlet and I have some ideas but have not finalized my decisions.

I always vote on election day. my plan is to finalize my decisions tomorrow.

Is anyone passionately for or against anything on the California ballot? Why?

Prop 33 seems to be a no. Anybody think different?

Steve Garvey over Adam Schiff seems like a no brainer.

I take the Ron Paul approach and vote no on everything with very few exceptions if any. Direct fees maybe but most money taken in via taxes will be used fraudulently and misappropriated.

No on all props except for 36. We don't need to pay more taxes on anything regardless of why they say we should.

Every tax increase is for something that they should already be doing with the outrageous taxes they already collect, and the 'new' taxes will likely go into a slush fund instead of what they are telling you it will be doing.

Yeah really can’t go wrong voting no on all propositions. If you live in La county, make sure to vote for Nathan Hochman for DA, not George Gascon. Not only has Gascon made LA County unsafe, he’s actively a horrible human being. Can’t really share now, maybe some time in the furture if he still has relevance.

It sounds like a new revenue stream for them to grift on.

I did not read up on it and don't live there, but there are already treatment centers all over the place for addicts of anything. You have to want rehab and creating more does nothing.

Harsh take, but just let them die. They are too wasted most the time to cause a normal person physical harm, at least me. Think George Floyd. That was not a small man and those cops at tops were 6' 190lbs and killed the guy, which they should have been allowed to do and not been prosecuted. I don't think cops or EMT's should be ever called out to an OD situation.

For example if I'm alone working on a ladder and break my leg, compound fracture and am bleeding out, I should get treatment or first in order on a call. Not some druggie that did it to themselves.

You make your own bed when you use hard drugs. Like finances, schools should be more involve in informing kids about drugs. Not "just say no to drugs" but inform them of the consequences of certain drugs. Weed, LSD and shrooms are't gonna kill you or be addictive. Cocaine, heroine, crack, big pharma pills, etc are addictive and will kill you at a younger age.

You aren’t wrong. All the bleeding heart idiots in California do is implement half measures that prevent addicts from reaching their bottom. End prison for drug users and what do you get? A bunch of them living on the sidewalks in tents. Despite what normal people perceive as a bottom, I assure you it’s much much lower. The handling of the homeless and the absurd amount of money being spent is horrible. There were drug courts in LA County in the 1990’s where intervention and treatment were attempted in lieu of criminal action. So for the last 30 years. But the idiot wealthy liberals, the young, and basically 80% of the electorate in LA County are morons and think this is a new concept ushered in by Gascon and other leftist politicians.

Los Angeles actually currently is a hell hole. Anyone denying so has literally no clue. It’s a mess.

They could do more to prevent users by making it hell on them. If you are busted for a crime while being high on drugs that influenced your crime, then they should have to pee in a cup every day. Fail once, then you're locked up in a cell and made to go cold turkey for a couple months. That kind of scrutiny would do more to help people get clean. Treatment centers are just drug fan clubs where you meet other drug enthusiasts and connections. Also they need to clean up Prisons. Prisons should not be ran by gangs, prison gangs and the culture that is allowed to flourish in Prison, has a bigger impact on drugs and crime on the street than anything else. Quit coddling the drug culture and trying to mitigate it with treatment centers. Treatment that everyone pays for but the drug addict themselves. In most all cases.

'Treatment' doesn't have to be expensive (various anonymous type programs) although drug monitoring probation tends to already be in effect. 'Recovery' however is inherently low yield (less than five percent of the addicted at best) so it tends to become token simply on the basis of extreme recidivism.

However, I could see like with the homeless bundles that disappear without accounting recognizance that it becomes a pretense for money laundering the tax grifts. Almost everything government does now that the vote has become ineffective is a ruductio ad absurdum of corruption, grift and virtue signaling money laundering.

Basically, it's better to have law enforcement rather than have random businesses and people in the population suffering the 'crime tax' of laws that are ineffective or not enforced against criminals. Paying for jails is a cheaper tax for the ongoing trust and organization of civilization than letting criminals run free parasitizing the population into ghetto-hood and warlord status.

Semi agree. You fail once you will keep doing it is the problem. Why I say this? It's a roof over your head, you get fed and don't pay a dime. There's no incentive to quit. Hollywood has made jail/prison look like a drop the soap, butt fucking festival and daily cell searches.

From the few I know that have been in, they say it's not bad. Food can suck depending on the prison, but no bills, no kids , no problems. I wouldn't want that life, but they can get what they need inside 9 out out of 10 times. So they don't kick the habit. You have to want to kick the addiction. Otherwise let them die. You're looking at a less than 5% success rate with getting anyone clean.
