This is for tourist visas. But it should also be extended for H1-Bs, too.

If they try to escape, they are technically feeding themselves to the alligators.

Citing Benefits of 232 Tariffs, Century Aluminum Announces Restart to Bring Mt. Holly SC Plant to Full Production, Increasing U.S. Aluminum Production by 10%

08/07/25
CHICAGO, Aug. 07, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Century Aluminum Company (NASDAQ:CENX) has announced plans to restart over 50,000MT of idled production at its Mt. Holly, SC smelter. Century will invest approximately $50 million in the effort, create over 100 new jobs and boost U.S. domestic aluminum production by almost 10 percent. The restart will enable the plant, currently operating at 75 percent capacity, to achieve full production by June 30, 2026, a level not seen since 2015.

The restart comes as a direct result of President Trump’s application of Section 232 tariffs for primary aluminum, most recently increasing the tariffs to 50% on aluminum imports without exceptions or exemptions.

“Today’s announcement was made possible by President Trump’s commitment to onshoring manufacturing of critical metals, protecting America’s national security, and to protecting American workers in our industry whose expertise is needed to ensure future generations do not have to rely on foreign supplies to build our communities and grow our economy,” said CEO Jesse Gary. “Our team stands ready to continue leading the resurgence of domestic primary aluminum, starting with bringing our Mt. Holly smelter back to full production.”

At full capacity Mt. Holly smelter has an economic impact of over $890 million annually in the state of South Carolina, driven in part by the average wage of $100,000 for jobs directly supported by Century Aluminum, according to University of South Carolina study released in 2024.

The restart was made possible with the help of South Carolina Public Service Authority (Santee Cooper), Mt. Holly’s power supplier. The parties worked cooperatively to reach an agreement in principle to extend the current contract through 2031 to purchase the additional power necessary for the restart. The final details of the restart will be subject to a definitive agreement with Santee Cooper, along with confirmation of economic incentives provided by Berkeley County and the state of South Carolina.

One of Biden’s most excruciating executive orders, signed days after he infested the office, was the order shutting down border wall construction and ordering all the expensive materials to be sold for scrap. It turns out that, thanks to various lawsuits and bureaucratic inertia, most of that stuff has not yet been auctioned. Now, it’s coming back.

On Friday, an auction clearinghouse for public-sector and government surplus called GovPlanet, which has the border wall building material, announced it had reached a deal with the U.S. government to sell it all back for cost. “A third-party firm that has been contracted for construction of the border wall will take receipt of the materials over the next 90 days,” GovPlanet said.

Good things apparently. Also potentially screwed with mostly blind people and color blind people. The all white cross walk is much more visible to pedestrians and vehicles as that looks like an uncontrolled intersection on the right turn. No stop line so you rip a right turn and can't tell there's a cross walk until you hit someone because you just saw a rainbow.

I'm fine with bike lanes, but this street painting shit needs to be done with. How about we honor our vets and have camouflage intersections? lol. Just have the standard wipe stripes. I'm sure Pulse didn't reopen anyway. You have a gay you know that got killed. What does a crosswalk do for you? Would piss me off. Basically an insult.

This is why you don't have women in government. Definitely a woman choice backed by a gay. No safety considered for pedestrians. That's a busy ass street.

Also people do drugs. Next thing you know you got some weirdo hopped up on something in an intersection. Just do the flag thing, don't put it on the road.

Temporary Restraining Orders pending appeals? California doesn't even vet it's CCP imposed laws for constitutionality. They have to be skeet shot out of the chute and bumped to appeals and Ninth Circuit. The Ninth Circuit junkyard of California legislation gets bigger and bigger.

Black US citizens have to compete with illegals for public housing, so this move makes a lot of sense politically.

Not your fault if you are. The Proclamation issued for it makes your take is clear. Lutnick even said so at the press conference. But then later on both Leavitt & ICE both said only once. And only for new applicants starting Sept 21.

Ah, so much winning. I've waited 30 years for this shit.

Trump has been though hell and back, and he's a billionaire. I think, for the first time since Andrew Jackson, our country has a president that empathizes with the common man.

Unlike that bastard Clinton, who emptily professed "I feel your pain," Trump has been nearly killed once, out of three known assassination attempts, been criminally convicted multiple times through corrupt judiciary processes, and the victim of overwhelming NSA and CIA spying.

I'd say Trump understands now more fully than ever how the average American has been fucked over for the last 50 years. I'm guessing that Trump thinks "If they can do this to me, and I barely survived because of my billions, what about the tens of millions who have been railroaded because they didn't have the resources to fight back?"

I'm going to practice variants of this to any libtards I encounter from now on.

US Plans to Use Emergency Powers to Save More Coal Plants

The Trump administration plans to continue using emergency authority to stop coal-fired power plants from retiring.

“This administration’s policy is going to be to stop the closure of coal plants,” Energy Secretary Chris Wright said Wednesday during an event held by the New York Times. Shutting down coal-fired power plants “that are working today” would drive up electricity prices, and hinder efforts to reindustrialize the US economy, he said.
