Stock up on plenty of popcorn. Matt Gaetz for Attorney General.

They are doing this to get him out of the House, where he's been a royal pain in the ass to the GOPe.

You can assume she is part of the Globalist conspiracy against the Republic and the people of USA. A minor wheel of the Swiss Gestapo/SS Consortium known as the CIA in Geneva.

Assuming Kari Lake does not end up winning (due to another steal) in Arizona, where does she fit in the Administration? Where will Tulsi Gabbard end up?

Honestly Kari would make a great Press Secretary; she's a long time local journalist.

It was completely stolen from her. Female voters actually like Kari, and she's warm enough she doesn't put off men with idiot Millennial Chick or aged HR Exec vibes.

Another positive endorsement for Gaetz. A negative from a negative is a positive.

I don't know how CA keeps electing that guy. He's so unlikable speaking and looking. He seems like he'd enjoy a P Diddy party or Epstein island.

Gaetz will have to tone down his rhetoric is the only thing as AG. If Schiff is already going after him I believe the AG can be impeached. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_unsuccessful_efforts_to_impeach_United_States_federal_officials#:~:text=been%20largely%20unsuccessful.-,Attorneys%20General,been%20subjected%20to%20the%20process.

Schiff is the impeacher in chief by title. He'll try it again on Trump for sure, but might think he can try to get away with lower hanging fruit with Gaetz for some non-legal reason. Fortunately no House or Senate this time to make it worthwhile. But he is a fucking idiot, so not impossible to make the attempt.

He's roughly my age so I like that. Trump knows he can't run again and I think he wants to bring young blood into the forefront. Gaetz also was from Fort Walton, FL one of my favorite panhandle towns. I'm really liking the younger picks around my age at 41. Biden, Trump, Harris would probably struggle to set up an email account or basic webpage.

I think Trump is setting up the Republican party to pass the torch to a younger crowd. I really don't think anyone 65 plus should even be working in government. You should be retired. You have a pension, health benefits and SS if you work privately before government.

I can't recall past transfers, but he seems to be moving quicker than others on announced appointments.

Who says that elections have anything to do with who is installed in California? Schiff is another stealth dynastic/bloodline infiltrator like IHLlary and Bill with bogus provenance, and a particularly unsavory, perverted and slimy one at that.

The 'retribution Woo' claim he will be tried for treason at some point. I'm not holding my breath.

DOGE is not going to amount to anything other than producing a report of recommendations that will collect dust at the Library of Congress right beside all the other such reports various commissions have also made like this before.

You can take that to the bank

Yesterday’s mega trolling began with media waking up (late) to the subversive meaning of the acronym D.O.G.E. Corporate media attacked in unison like a flock of robot vultures. Proving (once again) that libs lack any sense of humor, Rolling Stone played the annoyed straight man in a surly article headlined, “Elon Musk's Dumb History With the 'Doge' Meme His Govt. Office Is Named After.” ...

Anyway, around that time, some snarky 4CHAN memers got together and created a parody of bitcoin, their own based-on-thin-air digital coin. It was a “real” digital coin, in that you could buy it and sell it, but it was always intended to mock the whole bitcoin phenomenon. The name, DogeCoin, is what gave the joke away. ...

Doge the coin started trading at $0.01, and has at times reached as high as $0.74, all on a joke. Elon has long been a DOGE fan, and it’s rumored he’s bought lots of the invisible, quixotically named non-asset. Elon was once even sued for hundreds of millions by “investors” (ahem) for allegedly manipulating the stock by constantly joking about it on Twitter. (The case was dismissed.)

So in a terrific, sweeping Cecil B. DeMille-style comedic journey, the original DOGE meme —itself about hapless, unthinking error— is poised to become the acronym for President Trump’s new Department of Government Efficiency, or D.O.G.E. (Some might say most of the federal government is a hapless mistake, which probably gives bureacrats too much credit.)

In other words, D.O.G.E. evokes a layered lasagna of themes: cute Shibu Inus, parodies of digital currencies, small rebels fighting against a complex and non-transparent giant using humor, and a subversive, even slightly mean, but intensely funny concept of mocking people for doing things they are badly underqualified to do. Like running a government.

To be clear, despite Rolling Stone’s accusatory headline, Elon had nothing to do with minting the concept of “doge,” or even the mocking digital coin. Like most tech-savvy folks, he just knew what it meant. The fact ‘doge’ will now be attached to an ambiguous, ill-defined, conceptual-only “department of efficiency” that has yet to be formally created offers wonderful double and triple comedy layers dripping with sweet irony. The whole thing is delightful and profoundly hilarious.

Trump selects Robert F Kennedy Jr to lead HHS, top US health agency

NEW YORK, Nov 14 (Reuters) - President-elect Donald Trump announced on Thursday he has selected Robert F. Kennedy Jr., an environmental activist who has spread misinformation on vaccines, to lead the Department of Health and Human Services, the United States' top health agency.
Kennedy ran for president in this year's election as an independent before dropping out in August and endorsing Trump in exchange for a role in the Republican's administration.

"The Safety and Health of all Americans is the most important role of any Administration, and HHS will play a big role in helping ensure that everybody will be protected from harmful chemicals, pollutants, pesticides, pharmaceutical products, and food additives that have contributed to the overwhelming Health Crisis in this Country," Trump said in a post to social media.

The Department of Health and Human Services oversees the Food and Drug Administration, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the National Institutes of Health and the massive Medicare and Medicaid Services programs, which provide health coverage for the poor, those aged 65 and older, and the disabled. Medicaid and Medicare's tens of millions of enrollees mean HHS had a $3.09 trillion budget for fiscal year 2024, representing 22.8% of the U.S. federal budget.

KENNEDY'S HEALTH PRIORITIES

Kennedy, the son and nephew of two titans of Democratic politics, has been a part of Trump's transition team and has been reviewing candidate resumes for the top jobs at U.S. health agencies.

Over posts on social media platform X and interviews in recent weeks, Kennedy has indicated his priorities include addressing what he calls the "chronic disease epidemic" of conditions including obesity, diabetes and autism, and reducing chemicals in food.

Despite high levels of spending on healthcare and pharmaceuticals, Americans are unhealthier than their peers in wealthy countries around world, according to a report from the Commonwealth Fund in 2023.

Kennedy also suggested he would gut the 18,000-employee Food and Drug Administration - which ensures the safety of food, drugs and medical devices - and replace hundreds of employees at the National Institutes of Health.

"FDA's war on public health is about to end," he wrote on X in late October, adding that includes its "aggressive suppression" of psychedelics, peptides, stem cells, raw milk, sunshine, and other items.
"If you work for the FDA and are part of this corrupt system, I have two messages for you: 1. Preserve your records, and 2. Pack your bags," he wrote.
In early November, he said he would recommend fluoride be removed from public water supplies, falsely claiming on X that the chemical is associated with bone fractures and cancer. The American Dental Association says the decades-old intervention reduces tooth decay by more than 25% in adults and children.
Kennedy criticized in September a New York Times opinion article about the weight loss drug Ozempic, saying, "Instead of fixing our food system and addressing the obesity crisis at its root, the author focuses on a drug that may palliate the symptom – and gladden the wallets of distant Big Pharma execs."
KENNEDY AND VACCINES

Kennedy has been criticized for making false medical claims, including that vaccines are linked to autism. He opposed state and federal restrictions imposed during the COVID-19 pandemic and was accused of spreading misinformation about the virus.

He disputes the anti-vaccine tag, saying he wants more rigorous testing of vaccines instead. However, he chaired the Children's Health Defense, a nonprofit organization that focuses on anti-vaccine messaging.

In an interview in March, when he was still running for president, Kennedy said Americans who wants a vaccine for themselves or their children would continue to have access to them if he were to be elected. But he said he doubted the efficacy of measles vaccines.

Measles is one of the most contagious human viruses and is almost entirely preventable through vaccination. It requires 95% vaccine coverage to prevent outbreaks among populations. However, U.S. coverage rates have fallen below that level among young children, the CDC said this month.
Kennedy, who first sought the Democratic nomination before becoming an independent, had a rocky presidential run marked by attention-grabbing media headlines.

During his campaign, he acknowledged in a video posted online that he dumped a dead bear in New York City's Central Park a decade ago and staged it to look like a bike had hit it. He proclaimed he had "so many skeletons in my closet" after a former family babysitter accused him of sexual assault. He denied that a large animal in a picture of him posing with a barbecued carcass belonged to a canine.

Kennedy's campaign also confirmed a report that he had a parasite in his brain more than a decade ago, but has since fully recovered.

I wouldn't be shocked if a Dem or two crosses over to be honest. They're going to bring up the sex stuff or whatever for Gaetz but whatever. And I think he got a DUI, but daddy got him out of it.

But if Gorsuch could get run through the mud in his hearing for SCOTUS about running a train on a chick and saying he likes beer, I think Gaetz will be fine. AG is generally more trivial and the term will end so it's not 20-30 years of Gaetz as AG.

I hate these petty Republicans that try to leverage being fuck wads. Collins is a Michael J Fox tweak freak probably with Parkinson's in some minor form or controlled. Old. I want young blood that get's shit done. Sorry Gaetz is young and you're past your prime in a state that somehow shoes you in every six years. That might stop.

Trump picks North Dakota governor to lead Interior

The move puts Trump’s one-time primary rival in charge of the department.

President-elect Donald Trump said he plans to nominate North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum, a one-time rival for the Republican presidential nomination, to run the Interior Department and help steer the energy policy he’s pledged will drive up oil and gas drilling.

“We’re going do things with energy and with land — Interior — that is going to be incredible,” Trump told an audience at Mar A Lago. Bergum “is going to head the Department of Interior and he’s going to be fantastic.”

Burgum became wealthy from selling his software company, a factor that helped him create a relationship with Trump, who considered Burgum as a potential 2024 running mate.

If confirmed by the Senate, Burgum would manage the more than 500 million acres of federal land as well as the fossil fuels and minerals that lie beneath the surface — making him a critical component in Trump’s promise to boost oil and gas output.

Burgum will have a part in crafting policies that deliver on Trump’s promise to “drill, baby, drill”: leasing out federal land for oil, natural gas and coal development and setting safety standards for offshore oil rigs.

But Trump’s love of energy has not extended to renewable energy projects, something which the Biden administration sought to prioritize on public land. Trump is likely to push Burgum to scale back or end many of the Biden efforts to set up vast wind farms off the East Coast and other renewables on public lands.

During Trump’s first term, his administration sought to roll back rules on rig safety, climate change and Endangered Species Act protections in attempts to make things as easy as possible for oil companies to drill on public land. With Trump’s most recent talk of oil being “liquid gold” and that crude production would be four or five times higher under him than Biden, many agency observers expect the former president to look for new ways to remove regulatory speedbumps the current administration has put in place.

North Dakota is the third-largest oil-producing state in the country and also has more than 4 million acres under federal oversight. As governor, Burgum promoted carbon capture technologies to bring down greenhouse gas emissions from fossil fuel production and other industrial activities.

That approach lends itself to Trump’s vision of boosting fossil fuel production, but also pursuing other technology to reduce environmental degradation, said Collin O’Mara, CEO of environmental group National Wildlife Federation.

“I think he’ll be a very strong champion of the energy dominance agenda,” said O’Mara. “But in North Dakota, he tried to find some level of balance to make sure that important conservation areas, important areas for tourism, weren’t harmed in the process.”

Other environmental groups criticized Trump’s choice, saying Burgum lacked the experience outside the fossil fuel industry to steward the public lands.

In North Dakota, Interior’s Bureau of Land Management oversees 58,000 acres of surface land and 4.1 million acres of mineral estate. BLM has jurisdiction over about 2,500 federal oil and gas leases and has trust responsibility on more than 3,000 on the Fort Berthold Reservation and Turtle Mountain Tracts in the state’s northern region.

“Doug Burgum comes from an oil state, but North Dakota is not a public lands state,” Jennifer Rokala, executive director for the conservation group Center for Western Priorities, said in a statement.

“His cozy relationship with oil billionaires may endear him to Donald Trump, but he has no experience that qualifies him to oversee the management of 20 percent of America’s lands.”

The swamp is livid over Tulsi.

Saying the Lt. Col of Civil Affairs unit attached to Spec Ops, who served 4 terms, was on Homeland Sec. and Foreign Affairs committee isn't qualified.

Just a reminder: Almost all of Europe, and the vast majority of all countries in the world, do NOT fluoridate I guess their government medical experts and lawmakers aren't as expert as American ones, and only our "Experts" see the Holy Truth of Fluoridating Water.

Who's gonna get credit for improving the budget ???? Is it DOGE or RFK ????

Don't drink water. Boom.

What do you think has kept civilization alive without filtration of water? Alcohol, mead, vodka, etc. No one on this forum exists without booze. Look at population growth. We didn't have clean water supplies in the early 1900's. Then finally got mostly clean supplies.

And yes, I still drink water, but it has to be from a trusted source. I like my town but the amount of chlorine was what I put in a pool to keep it clear. Chlorine is bleach. Throw in fluoride. Call me crazy but alcohol sounds the lesser evil.

Mexico tomorrow and will be brushing my teeth with bottled water. Bad water can kill people. Trace substances or bacteria. Never had a drop of water in Mexico or the Caribbean and never had a problem. Alcohol, beer for me, kills anything sitting in a can/bottle.
