Unlike cellphones, you can't do a network reset on landlines.
Everything is digital/VOIP, and the traditional phone has the same hangups as mobile at this point. Grams probably has a fiber or DSL phone connection. Perhaps it's even linked to a cable line that is offered free to retirees. You need to figure out exactly what devices are handling her phone. The old 24-volt copper lines are effectively dead.
I can't give her a cell because she's too far away and she'll never learn to use it.
