South Chicago suburbs are all ghetto. Even the white ones. Not sure what it is. I think it's just gang and mafia influence. There's a lot of shipping going on down there, so it lends itself to mafia. South Chicago suburbs make my skin crawl is all I'll say. West and North are just fine.

Once you get south of State Rd 20 it's ghetto burbs. North is worse, but for Chicagoland they suck bigly. A few odd ball high end white communities, but not many. I'd live west or north in IL, rural in Chicagoland.

True, from what I saw and know myself. The entire city council of the suburb I'm originally from, Chicago Ridge, was indicted for something at one point. Maybe bribery.

Used to be 100% white, mostly Irish. Now it's 20% Hispanic and 10% black, but still basically a white working class place.
