Let everyone pay a flat tax, that's fairest. Make it 20%, or 25%.but then include short term gains as well. All these special rules by income, wealth, or duration of the gains just skewed the playing field and make it unfair. Billionaires can wait forever to take money out, the average person making a great investment move may need gains sooner to pay bills, why punish them? FLAT tax. Done.

I'd be happy if we deported 10-20M but ended up with a farm worker program for a few hundred thousand.
STATES can fight this bullshit by setting their HS and College Calendars around their tourist/harvest seasons. I was told by a North Dakotan that in the 50s, around early Fall, schools had basically half days and students that missed school to work on farms got makeup work of math and reading they had to finish after Christmas Break.

H1B should be reformed to require at least 2x the pay that an American would get.
Tech companies would drop H1B like a hot potato because the entire goal is to profit from undercutting US worker wages.
But in the rare case where some foreigner is really worth 2x what they would pay an American, then it would not harm US workers to bring that person into the US.

I was thinking that even if Trump's deportation numbers are not great, his reputation for deporting is in itself dramatically slowing the inflow of criminal aliens, and encouraging a lot of them to self-deport before ICE catches up with them.
