Mossadeq actually dissolved Parliament and tried to rule by Decree in violation of the 1908 Iranian Constitution. And there was no coup, the Shah removed him per the Iranian Constitution that allows the Monarch to remove the Prime Minister (just like the UK allows). There was also a kerfluffle that a huge number of MPs were never selected, and the Shah began appointing people to the Senate which was Constitutional but never used, to check Mossadeq's power.
