Sadly, Vance had to cast the deciding vote in HR4 because Murkowski, Collins, and McConnell did not vote in favor.

They deserve defunding after betraying their commitment to neutrality so badly and for so long.

This is the NPR CEO:

Cut the cable so long ago I wouldn't know where to find PBS or NPR anymore. Yes I know I can search the web, but if they were interesting I'd be listening or watching. They never were.

I don't really know how you can have a network anymore anyway. I can watch so much different stuff online. There is some bull shit online for sure, but I'm entertained or informed much more in my opinion online.

Reality is they still needed other non-government funding and people don't care anymore about the two unless they're geezers that grew up on it. I grew up watching the NBA during the 90's because of the Bulls. The league is abysmal now. Can't watch it. Things change and I don't think government should be involved in any kind of media. Protect our borders and national security and let states and local level folks figure out what they want.

Dumb, but greedy, amoral/sociopathic, willing to follow the scripts of the dragon masters. Lofted way beyond their highest level of competency in exchange for craven obedience.

I listened to NPR radio while driving from Santa Cruz to Carmel to scuba dive; my side kick and I would get a chuckle from the propaganda and bullshit.

It was unintentionally funny, liberals are so lame it's comical to listen to them.

I remember one silly program called "Fresh Air" with Terry Gross. Of course she has extremely short hair.

Didn't PBS run National Geographic shows? I wonder if that's where I saw stuff with Jacques Cousteau when I was a kid.

Good, news is suppose to represent points from both sides. Else it's just propaganda.

No, that "Undersea World of Jaques Cousteau" program was an ABC production.

The people who run the Federal Reserve decided to print some money for her, to reward her obedience.

At long last.. Thank you, the burger emperor.

Sad demise of something which was good in 2000 (car talk, wait wait don’t tell and many other nice programs we used to listen on Sunday mornings eating breakfast) but which turned to total shit around 2010-2012.

I am mildly nostalgic for PBS of yesteryear but very happy the current version populated by blue haired trannies is going broke.

CBS, yesterday: “Corporation for Public Broadcasting, funder of NPR and PBS, says it will end operations within months after federal budget cuts.” My take: NPR and PBS, now on their own, are in a branding trap they made for themselves. Their audience expects a far-left editorial tilt; listeners won’t tolerate moderation. Honestly? NPR’s best bet is to double down on its blatant bias.

I think it's true that NPR listeners are utterly intolerant of moderation. They demand far-left extremism at all times.

So far in the past couple of weeks, Trump not only blew up NPR/PBS, but Harmeet Dillon won a case removing Racial Gerrymandering and other Racial Biasesfrom Federal Employee Testing.

TWO 1970s bullshit ideas in a short time frame. Trump isn't just reversing Obama, he's doing things that Reagan and Gingrich didn't get done.

Yep, I used to listen to NPR/PBS when I was on the road in the 1990's. Good reporting, interesting topics. By the 2000's, I was being slowly boiled like a frog with liberal neocon propaganda. I'm particularly attuned to science issues, so when the "global warming" hoaxes became "truth" on these channels, I stopped listening. This was about the same time I cancelled my SciAm subscription for the same lame bullshit.

I feel the same way. NPR had good stuff before they turned woke and racist.

Somewhere around 2010, we went from the Irish Dance and Fiddle Festival, Lake Woebegone, etc. to Transgender Dinosaur Enjoyers.

They developed racism Tourette’s somewhere around 2012, probably related to the Smith-Mundt Act “modernization” (allowing domestic propaganda). I’d turn it off after the first mention of race, racism, or white supremacy, and could rarely get further than 10 minutes. All Things Considered, especially.
