As if 2025 has not been brutal enough, the Democratic National Committee has publicly announced it will conduct an “autopsy” on its failed 2024 presidential campaign. But cagily, the DNC has decided to limit the discussion, punctiliously avoiding Harris-Walz campaign deficiencies and former President Joe Biden’s infirmities.

That’s like performing John F. Kennedy’s autopsy and only examining his feet. Just as athlete’s foot didn’t kill Kennedy, botched independent expenditures did not sink Kamala Harris.

It is laughable that the DNC thinks it can ring-fence any self-examination away from the fundamental problems facing Democrats. But just like the Democratic Party as a whole, the DNC is too dependent on soothing its squabbling factions and defending its sacred shibboleths to conduct any honest assessment.

I have a widowed SIL with 3 kids and my own sister widowed with 2 kids. They manage somehow. I don't know where you live that people can't afford food or get food.

Yes we have a food pantry in town. I say maybe 1-2% of people need it, but that's likely due to drug use and alcoholism or fixed income seniors. Which every place has that. We have no crime, but maybe a domestic or two a year. No one cannot get food here. That's a liberal crocodile tear type thing. We help each other.

To have good value at grocery stores you need market stability. Right now we have government over regulating every inch of the market mostly labor issues which drive up prices. They keep meddling and we continue to vote wrong.

My burning questions? Why do 42% of the people say they will vote Democrat? Why don’t we have a basic online test (before we vote) to show people actually understand civics?
