How offensive are the patrick.net memes?

Some relatives have complained that my memes are offensive, but there's a point behind every meme I post, and I don't use memes which do not make a point. I also avoid memes which are deliberately stereotypically offensive to some race, such as caricatures of blacks or Jews, even if they do have a valid point.

Two specific complaints were about:

- the stereotyped cartoons of fat, angry, leftist women with green hair and nose rings
- stereotyping Muslims as terrorists

But I think that fat, angry, leftist women with fluorescent hair is a real phenomenon which causes a lot of suffering for others, especially by promoting mass illegal immigration which makes the poorest Americans even poorer by driving down their wages. I know those women are angry at their own situation in life, and the political yelling is because they want to yell in public without saying what they're really angry about, namely that Trump makes them feel bad about themselves by deliberately surrounding himself with beautiful women.

Fat women are not inherently ugly. They can diet and avoid sugar and seed oils. So unlike racial cartoons, the stereotype is not about some way they were born, but about some way they choose to be, even if dieting and exercise are difficult.

And though most Muslims are not terrorists, most terrorists are definitely Muslim. One has to be willfully blind to deny that Islam is the direct inspiration for most terrorism everywhere on earth. Muslims do not fear fighting. They seem to enjoy it. What Muslims really fear is mockery, and so that is exactly the weapon which has the most potential to save lives from further terrorist attacks.

Islam is not a race, so it's not racist to call out the daily violence directly inspired by Islam. It is a choice to be Muslim. Religions are fair game for criticism imho.

Lately I read a quote I liked, and I should have paid attention as to whose it was. If you have to fight to prove your religion, you do not understand your religion. That goes for everyone. The baptist christians who are oppressing natural religions In Myanmar, taking the power of the local chiefs and helping the govt capture the young men (never to be seen again), the Jews killing whomever they do not like, and yes, Muslims are right now the worst. Before that, I suppose it were Christians - killing everyone including their own. Kill them all, God will sort them out. There are several stories from the Crusades, where Christians wanted to read mass and the Muslims gave them some time. And then Muslims wanted to pray, and the Christians sneaked up on them and killed them. Everyone who kills for their beliefs does not know the meaning of religion. If Christianity is so wide spread it is greatly because of oppression too.

There's a big difference between Christianity and Islam though.

Christians who kill are violating the example of the founder of their religion, Jesus.

Muslims who kill are imitating the example of the founder of their religion, Mohammed.

I am offended that they are offended. Since I am more offended than them, they lose.

In the real world, most people are accustomed to secular topics and show indifference or even disdain toward issues like social governance, global affairs, and human rights. However, it is precisely these vulnerable groups that are protected by conscientious and courageous politicians. Therefore, we strongly support President Trump and his team for their efforts in promoting fairness, justice, human health, and world peace.

They're annoying to scroll through if being honest. Can't search them. No original thoughts. I prefer typed/written text. Memes are like a child's picture book to me. I especially dislike comments with X screen shots. If you don't have an original thought, don't post it?
8   Patrick   2025 Aug 10, 2:33pm

The lack of searchability is a problem. Maybe I can fix that with AI.

I think there are tons of original thoughts in the memes, often very clever.

I moved away from text and to images to be able to make points quickly, because most people just don't have the time to read a lot of text.

I don't disagree with this. It's users that ONLY post memes that's annoying.

I know I type novels and it's probably annoying to read, but it's at least original and authentic from my end. I really don't read the images 90% of the time and scroll past. So for me I don't understand the point of posting on the site if that makes sense.

I'm 42 years old with 3 kids. I'm not reading picture books. That's what memes are. Anyone's right to post it, but it just seems childish to me and uneducated.

They're about as offensive as calling a liar and liar, a murderer a murderer, and a thief a thief.

In all those cases, you'll have someone complaining you're being too harsh and that the dirtbag is "simply misunderstood."

Fight the good fight - the truth shall set us free.

The religion and practices of Muslims are an insanity, and those who practice it are crazy, so fair game for ridicule.

I'm anti-religion anyway, but other religions are more harmless.

I knew a Quaker kid in college, and he was a nice guy; he of course was not supposed to fuck girls nor drink, etc. Poor guy, he deprived himself for his religious rules (not "beliefs").

Do you have sources that proves Obiden's USAID funded Junta is actually Baptist ministers?

Yeah. Because they expose truths they don't like to acknowledge. And don't like that.

Or to reduce it further:

"But...but..he posts MEAN tweets!"

And they are the types who enable the shit that got us in our mess. THEY are the ones actually responsible for WHY the Trumps and Thatchers and Churchills and Lincolns and Caesars have to come to power to clean up hard times these weak snowflakes create.

Oh, if you want to show 'em what an actual, fucking offensive meme looks like...show 'em mine.

Is one of these elatives EBGuy by chance?

A 'good jeans' meme.

20   FreeAmericanDOP   2025 Aug 11, 3:02pm

I'm enjoying names for Carnival Cruise Ships

"Walmart of the Ocean"
"SS SwipeEBT"
"Dollar Store of the Deep"
"Waffle House of the Waves"

Carnival was always the "budget" option, but yesteryear's Daytona Spring Break/Bike Rally crowd > current Bronx During a Power Outage but with a DJ, Pool, and Buffet

You know you've hit rock bottom when Black Women with any kind of F/T Employment are calling the Cruise "Ghetto"
21   Patrick   2025 Aug 11, 3:16pm

Man, some of those would make great memes. I wonder if Grok will generate the image.

Denny's is unfairly maligned. I'm sure there's a few bad ones but I've been in Denny's at 2AM in the past all over the Eastern Seaboard and only one or two had issues, and the proximity to "Diversity" and "Urban Populations" was the obvious reason.

Daytona Denny's during spring break at 2AM is loud and busy and has drunks but is perfectly fine, whether the clientele is college kids or bikers or ravers.

The problem is always with "At Promise" Populations.

"At Promise" Populations

Never heard this term before, but it's a thing:

Despite facing tumultuous teenage years fraught with violence and multiple run-ins with the law, Rios eventually graduated high school and college, and went on to earn his Ph.D. Now, he has pioneered a weeklong summer program for students like him, who are often called “at-risk youth.” Rios prefers to call them “the at-promise population,” because, he contends, they have tremendous untapped potential.

Yet more bullshit terminology to hide reality. They are at risk populations, the risk of committing yet more crimes.

I think it's official California policy now to call them "At Promise" now.

The #1 COVID Lie that most offended me was the "denying herd immunity"

Agree, but I'd say claiming it was deadly as a four time "survivor".... lol, is probably more offensive. It was a joke of an illness and I'd say I'm a 7-8 health wise for my age out of 10. It was a one day illness.

If someone had it worse, I'm sorry, but it wasn't a big deal at all. 1st or 4th time. Sorry for grandma or grandpa, but there were ultimately underlying conditions. I know more 35 year olds that died of aggressive cancer and not one covid death.

Memes are one of the most effective ways to communicate quickly. People "ain't got time fo dat". The average attention span is similar to a gold fish's attention span.
