Polls are the MSM version of Lucy's football. Fake or not, people always seem to fall for them. Much noise meaning nothing.
I imagine Trump and others have their own polls measured for reasonable acccuracy but not published.

Sports betting has destroyed all the major US sports in my opinion. Not sure about soccer in Europe, South America and Asia given it's the largest sport with the most money and sponsors with huge $$$$. Plus it's cheap to operate beside the stadium and salaries.
If I'm betting anything it's games of random luck where you can get on a streak yet have the discipline to get out of the game after a certain percentage loss. Generally not one person can control games like dice or cards. It's too easy for a ref, coach, player, tech/communications, etc. to be tamper with the game.
The irony in 2025 though is that MLB won't let Pete Rose into the MLB hall of fame for betting on his own team to win. It would be one thing if he was betting to lose as the coach with that control. The problem now is it's so easy to have a proxy bettor for you and no one would know. Throw crypto on top of that. I can't watch sports anymore hence why a lot of adventure content has gotten popular and/or people just go out and do things like that. Ratings are down across the board. Pretty sure it's just gamblers watching now.

Betting is for guys who are bored and can't get their kicks from other activities to stimulate their brain chemistry.
Watching sports does similar things; in Florida I would sometimes go for a while to a place which had a ton of guys drinking, watching the NFL and screaming.
Oddly enough there were few chicks in there with them; imagine that?
