In this review, we examine challenges that have impeded development of effective mucosal respiratory vaccines, emphasizing that all of these viruses replicate extremely rapidly in the surface epithelium and are quickly transmitted to other hosts, within a narrow window of time before adaptive immune responses are fully marshaled. ...

Over the years, influenza vaccines have never been able to elicit durable protective immunity against seasonal influenza virus strains, even against non-drifted strains.

Maybe smoking is the answer. Seriously. Smokers were known to be significantly less likely to catch the virus Fauci created in Wuhan with our tax dollars:

We reported an unexpectedly low prevalence of current smokers among COVID-19 patients hospitalized in nonintensive care wards.

My theory: tobacco smoke kills respiratory viruses.

Not saying there aren't long-term dangers to smoking. There certainly are.

But maybe one or two cigarettes at the beginning of a viral respiratory disease is actually quite effective in stopping it.

Best to research WHY smoking cures reparatory infections and develop an inhaler of some sort that cures without the dangers of tobacco.

There's no money it that. Well, at least not as MUCH money anyway.

Lol, totally right.

Cheap cures are invariably ignored or disparaged in favor of the most expensive possible cures.

This is why HCQ, ivermectin, and zinc were all disparaged during the scamdemic.

It sort of makes sense like sterilizing effect of smoke when out in the woods for your socks and stuff.

The nicotine shareholders thank you for your support and participation.

It could turn out that it is the nicotine, not the smoke.

Then maybe nicotine gum would work.

But I lean toward the idea that smoke simply kills things. Your own cells, but also viruses. Maybe it's a worthwhile tradeoff at times.

I haven't had a respiratory virus in decades, aside from the mildest COVID I got that lasted maybe 2-3 days.

It's the nature of illness that we tend forget our previous illnesses when well. It's kind of a built in defense mechanism, instead of dwelling on them.

I kept a log for a while about all the various afflictions and I was surprised at how many of them I forgot. Basically, most of them. We concentrate on the current thing while generally forgetting the past things.

It is also normal for those with dependencies to justify and defend their dependencies in myriad ways. I wouldn't rely on the smoking thing in any kind of double blind study, and historically, doctors have generally said the opposite.

One thing about the generalized disgrace of medicine, it opens up the field for the old bogeys of health claims and manipulations, along with the good naturopathic stuff.

I agree it would be bad to become dependent on cigarettes.
