I disagree. A prime example of an incompetent CEO was HP's Carly Fiorina (i hope she will run too - and spend a ton of ill gotten money on an unsecessfull campaign).
Under Whittman's leadership eBay grew from a small company to a giant. Not many CEOs were able to do that.
Having said that, I think that other two GOP candidates are better (Tom Campbell and Steve Poisner). They have held public offices in the past.
It will be interesting to see if Whittman will be able to buy the GOP nomination.
Yeah, she took e-bay from basket case, to huge stock, and back down again to a medium stock. Too bad that her politics are misguided, I would have voted for her.
the joke at Ebay since it started was 'moving one persons garage junk to another persons garage'.
that being said, i heard Whittman speak at some radio talk show a year ago or so.
bottom line, she was rather candid about the issues regarding high cost of doing business in California.
putting it blunt she said, the great weather isnt going to save the economy or make California fertile
ground to keep employers here.
she also spoke about running a government on a balanced budget. not bad! may give the career politicians
a run for their money.
I don't live in California, so this isn't my issue. Utah is based on throwing the most conservative Mormon into office possible. Then the rest of us bitch until he's replaced with another conservative Mormon.
But ya'll need something better than the status quo. The governator probably did his best with what he was given, but that ain't saying much.

what do you guys think?
Whittman was the CEO of Ebay.
I am little skeptical, when CEOs of companies that did well during tech-boom, tout they are the 'Sun God'. IMHO any body can be a CEO of a company in boom times and make boat loads of money. Has nothing to do with leadership.
