I'm curious why this is only just now piquing your interest? ApocalypseFUCK has been going on about the Deutsche Bank not since late 2016 if I recall correctly. I remember he posted a link about a journalist who had worked on this story/Trump crime syndicate journalism for years, and had passed away, right around the time that Trump was sworn in. The evidence is beyond compelling, and it certainly makes sense if you have followed the Trump story over the years, and can take a step back from the mindless nutsuckling of the TDS crew

Bullshit. Why are American oligarchs entrepreneurs but Russian oligarchs member of a 'crime syndicate' . The cold War called, it wants its mccarthyism back!

I see so you feel that Russian oligarchs are Great Entrepreneurs. Interesting take, sounds very organic.

No I don't think that at all. But they are no more or less greedy entrepreneurs as their American counterparts. To somehow insinuate that Russian oligarchs are worse or have a higher affinity for the mob is asinine and pure mccarthyism and in connection with Trump pure TDS. Pecunia non olet.
104724   Expat   2019 Sep 2, 9:27am

I love it. If Hillary had a loan co-signed by a Saudi prince, Trumpturds would be screaming for her head...again. Someone claims Trump is in the pocket of Russian oligarchs (and therefore Putin) and Trumpturds say it's nothing, unimportant, insignificant, meaningless.
I loved the comment about how Trump is too rich to have loans. Well, that assumes he is rich. Since he is too cowardly to release his tax returns, we rely on his statements. There have been serious reports which claim that Trump earns and spends about $25 million a year and is worth zero net. But what does that matter with regards to him having some russian's cock up his ass?
TDS, only it doesn't mean what Trumpturds think it does. It's not Trump Derangement Syndrome. It's Trump Delusion Syndrome.

For most in the "resistance", it's Trump Derangement Syndrome.

Some people believe that Hillary did not lose the election, Trump "stole it", and the Russians helped him win. If not deranged, they are definitely deluded.

Realistically tho nearly all Russian oligarchs obtained their money either by (1) being mobsters during criminal capitalism phase in former Soviet Union in 1988-1995, or (2) by being well-connected to Russian government in 2000's (aka by being friends of Putin). So Russian rich people are Kennedies of 1920's (bootlegging/mafia) while in US they legalized their proceeds and now are Kennedies, esq who do not remember how they got the money in first place. Of course, a large portion of rich people in US (Gates-type) earned their money honestly, while in Russia I can not think of a very rich person who was not a criminal.

OK maybe Russia is a bit behind the curve, but a lot of American old money is still tied to the mob and there are even still plenty of - esp. east coast - mobsters out there. The only difference is their businesses have been semi if not totally legalized and benefitted from silent amnesty.

Furthermore modern tech entrepreneurs use 'legal' but nonetheless devastating tactics to drive out competition and destroy small businesses. Insider trading has been legalized for members of congress/senate, should I go on? A lot of the Russian mob stories are intertwined with conspiracy theories and have been difficult to prove. Just because an American journalist writes about Russian criminals does not make them so. Gorbachev and yeltsin were praised and celebrated by the leftoids, yet Putin mainly continuing their politics is suddenly the devil. Does not compute.
104728   mell   2019 Sep 2, 10:23am

Btw same goes for jfk conspiracy stuff. lbj pretty much continued jfks policies, same as Putin continued the policies of his predecessors.

Yeah, mafia/prohibition times in 1920's for US was very similar to Eastern Europe in late 1980's/early 1990's when Communism changed to capitalism.

I do not think that Trump Russian connection is any significant - it is probably peddled because they ran out of steam for muh Russia Mueller investigation. However, I am nearly 100% sure that Trump had extensive connections with NY's mob in 1970's-80's. Roy Cohn, who had connections with Fat Tony Salerno, was Trump's attorney.

An interesting quote: “When Roy Cohn was at the height of his power,” Dershowitz said, “nobody did anything in New York politics, in New York real estate, without going through Roy Cohn.”

So nothing will come out of this, as if Trump goes down, a lot of NY political establishment will go down.

More:

To thrive in this milieu, Trump also had to work with unions and companies known to be controlled by New York’s ruling mafia families, which had infiltrated the construction industry, according to court records, federal task force reports and newspaper accounts.

Cohn represented some of the mafia figures who had sway over Trump projects. S&A Concrete, which supplied building material for the Trump Plaza on Manhattan’s East Side, was owned in part by Salerno, the Genovese family mobster and Cohn client, court records show.

Mob-friendly labor leaders dominated local construction unions. At the head of Teamsters Local 282 was John Cody. A House of Representatives investigation found he “was universally acknowledged to be the most significant labor racketeer preying on the construction industry in New York.” Without Cody’s support, projects were liable to stall.

Cody claimed Cohn as a friend. Cody also said he worked with Trump — with Cohn serving as intermediary. “I knew Trump quite well,” Cody told Barrett. “Donald liked to deal with me through Roy Cohn.”

Let me guess - they study "prejudiced" and then attribute the findings to "right-wing"? Correct? Just a hunch from someone who didn't bother to read.

Someone somewhere is buying this crap.

EQ simply means managing emotions like anger, impatience, etc, in the view of a larger audience.

Now, a number of these EQ geniuses, however, take that stuff out on family members, etc, since that doesn't affect their careers.

Remember, I only lose my temper at PatNet, not at work.

.Can't parse the first sentence, guesses at the rest of the content, then stops reading yet holds a strong opinion about the study.

Strange that about the LibbyFucks. They feign tea and sympathy for every disaffected, delusional whacko who they can bedazzle with free shit, but actually ask them to share power, and they become snarling, venomous, homicidal, amoral and immoral reptiles rearing up with claws and teeth.
104742   clambo   2019 Sep 4, 5:43pm

This may be true; those who are less intelligent may have lower wage jobs and can see the effects of government more directly than a rich guy behind gates.

Being less intelligent does not mean you are less observant and unable to grasp the obvious; some intelligent people have professional careers which insulate them from the effects of their liberal policies.

Few brilliant and successful people will hang around the lower classes to see what is actually happening.

I clearly demonstrated the opposite. What did I not parse?

Sure. Once it starts with embedded fallacy, the rest is of no interest.

> then stops reading yet holds a strong opinion about the study.
You are imagining things (about strong opinion). The words I used were "guess" and "hunch". Put some effort into reading, will you?
Want to prove me wrong? Show it in the research, and be specific.

Studies like that I can make too. I'll go ask a few guys what they think, it'll qualify as a bloody study these days because the standards are so fucking low and biased. It's just stupid now.

But I can tell you this, liberals on the left are fucking out of touch with reality like hell, especially in CA. Whatever prefix intelligence there is, they don't got it, none of it.

That is a quite important data point by itself. My thinking (may be wrong) would be that feeding them fake data would be best, although I am not sure how that could be done. That is probably the only way how data collection system can be crashed and/or made redundant.

It worked for Twitter followers. The bot wars proved that many people had millions of fake followers, yet advertising was giving them money like they were real.

Then they go by positive data. That is, no data gives you a zero, unless a certain time passes and you then accumulate negative points for each month with no data. Points get added when contribute money, time, speech, editorials that are approved by those in power. You lose points for anything not approved.

"People with lower emotional intelligence are more likely to hold right-wing views, study finds"

Emotional intelligence seems to mean "feelings." So yes, I would agree that "left wing" tend toward "feelings" while right wing tend more toward logic and reason.
104753   MisdemeanorRebel   2019 Sep 5, 1:17pm
