This would appear to be VERY early data analysis. Louisana cases are centered around New Orleans, with ~9000 confirmed cases in the state, and 300 deaths. So about a 3.3% death rate. Maybe. Because there is no way to measure the actual number of cases. Testing is limited to those with symptoms that actually seek out testing.
