Some parts of the economy should not come back, ever:
- closing American factories to open ones in China with weak pollution laws and no worker rights instead
- open borders so that US employers can undercut wages for US citizens by employing illegals instead
- global daily flights with no quarantine
Overall, the US economy seems likely to come roaring back as long as Trump is in office.
Trump's pre-virus economy was stunningly good, setting repeated records for three years.
Dumb fucks are gonna learn today.
It's not capitalism when it can only survive with bailouts, massive debt & fiat currency printing
and when it is hit hard & $Trillions from thin air that is handed out to businesses & the unemployed.
Socialized Capitalism!
Point is, don’t believe the lying media because they have an agenda. Trump can’t do this stuff himself. He relies on the agencies to do their part and when they don’t, can get really be blamed for their failure? The President might be amazing but he’s not a super techie bioscience dude who can whip up a PCR test for a new virus in a few days.
*Trumpists* are mad that Fauci tells the truth.
Really I don't think this should be politicized. It's easy to say with hindsight that earlier would have been better, and another thing to make decisions with limited data.
This virus makes Trump’s ass look fat.

WookieMan saysI hope you're posting this in jest? While it is funny admittedly, if this virus is the real deal, this has nothing to do with politics. You may not be doing this, but not sure why people are trying to politicize this when it's sooooooooo "serious" and deadly. Makes one wonder....
That's a nasty question. You're very nasty. I've always said this was a giant hoax, that we should take very seriously.
Who gives a shit. All you need is to test a well distributed small fraction of the population to find out many already caught it and developed immunity which drops the lethality to that of influenza and the you can reopen the country like Denmark is doing.
Did his IQ just jump up to average or so ? What did he do ? He must have some new handlers, making sure he gets his B-12 and enough sleep, or something. Because he really was not sounding like his usual self.
more of a boomer-removerAnd in the same vein, you'd think this virus would be a bonus to population hysterics, nature's way of culling the weakest from the over-populated world as they view it.

Stop being logical and using your brain. We have 114,000 dead worldwide right now of which 100k would have likely died in that same time span.... But hey, shut the world down.
mell saysI've been noticing how much nicer the silicon valley is lately. Quieter, less dusty, much more pleasant to drive the roads, etc.more of a boomer-removerAnd in the same vein, you'd think this virus would be a bonus to population hysterics, nature's way of culling the weakest from the over-populated world as they view it.
This looks like taking two different topics and commingling them to produce a misleading conclusion. Stanford fake-news smear.
SunnyvaleCA saysBut as far as we know, Trump knows full well the difference between bacteria and virus. It's just that the fake-news is putting things together out of context and claiming he doesn't know the difference. This is fake-news making up fake news to smear the president. This looks like taking two different topics and commingling them to produce a misleading conclusion. Stanford fake-news smear.
Exactly. Not much of a difference anyway. Whether we have an antibiotic for a bacteria or vaccine for a virus, it really doesn't matter. We don't have anything right now to combat CV-19. His point is the same even if he did say this. He's not a fucking doctor anyway. Some people don't know how to put a spare tire on their car when they get a flat. Doesn't mean they're not intelligent.
