mell saysI've been noticing how much nicer the silicon valley is lately. Quieter, less dusty, much more pleasant to drive the roads, etc.more of a boomer-removerAnd in the same vein, you'd think this virus would be a bonus to population hysterics, nature's way of culling the weakest from the over-populated world as they view it.
This looks like taking two different topics and commingling them to produce a misleading conclusion. Stanford fake-news smear.
SunnyvaleCA saysBut as far as we know, Trump knows full well the difference between bacteria and virus. It's just that the fake-news is putting things together out of context and claiming he doesn't know the difference. This is fake-news making up fake news to smear the president. This looks like taking two different topics and commingling them to produce a misleading conclusion. Stanford fake-news smear.
Exactly. Not much of a difference anyway. Whether we have an antibiotic for a bacteria or vaccine for a virus, it really doesn't matter. We don't have anything right now to combat CV-19. His point is the same even if he did say this. He's not a fucking doctor anyway. Some people don't know how to put a spare tire on their car when they get a flat. Doesn't mean they're not intelligent.
Can you please go back to your high school notes or google
Ceffer saysVirus are just like bacteria, only smaller. Everybody knows that.
Initially I thought so , but looking at Trump's statement and with all the sheeple following Trump, who knows that they now believe what Trump believes.and ready to rewrite the evolution theoryYeah, in the original link provided, the embedded video shows Trump talking about COVID-19 but then there are text quotations that mention antibiotic resistance. Using the text quotations, I searched and found a different Trump video (linked in my initial response) that talks about resistance but doesn't have any mention of COVID-19 or any other context that would seem to point towards COVID-19. In fact, that 2nd video is clipped very tightly and I'm wondering if they are specifically clipping OFF the part where he mentions bacteria resistance to antibiotics.
You may have fallen for it again. That Trump statement framing Trump as not knowing the difference between virus and bacteria looks to be an amalgamation of two different unrelated speeches (see SunnyvaleCA post 8).

First of all these are stupid examples.. We do have speed limits and they do save lives. There has to be an optimum speed limit which balances the time vs loss of life. We do have "driver licenses" for stopping stupid people driving and killing others.
The opening of the economy is again a cost vs life issue. Each life and hospitalization is also a cost, not just the money lost in the restaurant or a factory. They will not open games to public but may do it with empty stadium. Or they may open construction but delay non-essential projects. "Believe it, the paradigm has changed" , a quote from my Chinese friend who lived there during SARs.
Fortwaynemobile saysThey should ban sodomy and promiscuity, would save millions of lives. Also ban getting fat, that’s 10+ million lives saved.
Why do you value stupidity over life!!!!

lets keep everything closed for another half year and then we will have neither economy nor coronavirus left. Only cannibal anarchy, which is much better than corona cold.
Durham announces his indictments
There is new evidence that U.S. Attorney John Durham is getting to the root of criminal abuses by senior U.S. law enforcement and intelligence officials in their conspiracy to undermine the Trump campaign, transition and presidency. Mr. Durham's mandate from Attorney General William Barr -- to uncover the seditious plot behind the Trump-Russia hoax, if pursued vigorously, will uncover the single greatest threat to the Constitution since the nation's founding.
