"Yes, Trump lied to me." They need to say that to themselves and realize that Trump is not for the average person. He's not making America great. He's making things worse. He's dividing us. He's enriching himself. He's undermining the separation of church and state. He's undermining the rule of law.

The truth is knowable if you try.

Give us your best example of any one of the above. Just one. (Then ask yourself why you cant.)

You think tax cuts deserve this critique? :

Trump is absolutely not making America great. He's making things worse. He's dividing us. He's enriching himself. He's undermining the separation of church and state. He's undermining the rule of law.

At least we are taking steps towards an actual discussion, but tax cuts are a weak example. You dont think tax cuts are good for us, noted. Didnt Clinton cut taxes for "the rich" too. Does Clinton also deserve your critique?

Im looking for congruent logic but not seeing. Please enlighten me.

Perhaps give an example of how you feel Trump is uniquely undermining the rule of law? Or doing something uniquely different to deserve the outrage.

Beschloss and Lee are themselves are showing classic signs of mental illness. Out of the 700,000+ Americans who have died in the last 100 days, with the bureaucrats paying $13,000 for every CV check-mark, and $39,000 for intubating and killing said CV-positive, it's a miracle (and testament to the remaining integrity among real doctors who treat patients, as opposed to costumed bureaucrats like Fauci) only less than 1/7 of all deaths have been check-marked as CV deaths.

As for playing golf, at least Trump is not being paid by taxpayers to play golf like Obama was.
111247   WookieMan   2020 May 24, 7:44am

I had no issue with Obama golfing. Every person needs a hobby and stress relief. We're talking about $0.20 or less for every American and almost half don't even pay federal taxes, so they don't have a leg to stand on when bitching about the golf.

Most the costs are linked to the travel and making sure sites are secure. So it's not really golf. I'd appreciate if they could make the rounds linked to something work wise as far as location so travel costs are baked in, but other wise I don't give a shit about any POTUS golfing. I've never understood why it was a problem. Not going to get worked up if 0.0005% of my taxes paid are used on golf.

I did not know Urban diction ary had severe TDS? Wiki has it too but at least they have an honest definition of the syndrome:

Trump Derangement Syndrome
Trump Derangement Syndrome is a term applied by some writers to describe critics of US President Donald Trump, including liberals and progressives, whom they accuse of responding to statements and political actions by Trump in a manner verging on the irrational, without regard to his actual position or action taken.

It is what it is and all the redefining in the world doesn't change what is.

What is interesting is the rise of the common class/working class voting republican with the traditional wealthy corporate manager and creative classes moving ever more "leftward". It is no surprise that while the left complains of the Koch brothers we have far wealthier individuals and companies supporting the radical left. Forget about Soros - think Gates, Buffet and others of a similar vein.

There are many theories why. Obviously, the Democrat re-triangulation under Clinton adopting free trade polices of the Rep party was a factor. The argument I like best is that the super rich want to permanently establish their wealth and by supporting democrat party which believes in substantial regulation, the legal system poses a significant barrier to entry for competitors. The small business is anathema to the left as it represents a loss of control.

What we have now is a party of the super rich and the welfare state against the small business person and low-middle class.

If that is the worst you got against me, I made a greater point against your argument, than the minor point you made against mine.

Trump is not dividing America. The left-wing media is by reporting fake news and getting people like you to believe it and fight against people who are getting the real news. Try broadening your horizons.

Not just for the rich. He gave a middle class tax cut too. Also he is trying to bring middle class jobs back to this country after the globalist in DC sold our country out to China. Low paid jobs at Walmart became the norm during many Democratic administrations including Obama and Clinton, but to be fair, also Bush.

It'll drop to 20 or 30K after they finally eliminate all of the false attributions (well after the election, of course, after which Covid 19 will evaporate from the press).

They'll give Covid 19 a star on the CIA wall for performing its noble duty for the Deep State on Trump and the economy before disappearing from sight and mind.

I think this is just an unwanted side effect that Patrick could look into. Otherwise there is no censorship AFAIK unless it's breaking the law (such as direct threats or child porn, copyright violation etc.). Patrick is already incurring quite a risk by running it since unscrupulous companies and attorneys can and will try to extort money by sending bogus copyright and other claims. One other thing was added was a direct insult instead of focusing on the issue or attacking a broader group instead. This has been controversial but there used to be people in shouting matches just insulting each other - it seems it has gotten more civil since then. Otherwise this is as close to free speech as it can get.

Trump was set for life, yet he campaigned for and took on a job knowing he would take serious flak from establishment Dems, Repubs, and media. Even the FBI investigated Trump under false pretenses (only a severe partisan can deny that now). Trump also knew he would make new enemies by revamping trade by redoing NAFTA and China trade deals, but persisted anyway. Yet Trump continues and and seeks re-election knowing he will face more of the same. Hardly a coward. Want to see a lack of manhood - look to the Repubs in Congress who tremble over a little bad press.

Pretty much every bad flu season takes out around 100K. With MAGA! the graph wouldn't have changed much, see Sweden. The daily deaths and new infections are declining sharply, even in fully reopened states.

It is the slippery slope, for sure. With regards to porn, it has been said that you know it when you see it. But that is not exactly true.

I believe you are the person that NSFW'd this photo below. This is not porn. Perhaps you could explain your motive here.

Irony is as Howard Stern put it , the so called "masculine" working class white men who support and are his most ardent cult members are the very people he despises. Does the con man admire the mark?

The thing that’s saving us from authoritarian Fascism is number one Trump doesn’t have any ideology except to become liquid and grift as much as he can for his family and to the right emergency hasn’t come along that would allow him to rule by decree.

No, the reason that saves us from authoritarian fascism is that orange used car salesmen do not want fascism. I also do not think that our orange pre-owned car salesman is intelligent enough to create the fourth Reich even if he would want to. He is extremely media-savvy, but not more.

On the other hand, bits and pieces of fascism does creep into so-called progressives/democrats policies, such as race-based preferences for hiring which appears to come straight out of Nazionalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeitspartie manifestos.

Agreed, mostly.

Trump has no interest in fascism, and all the accusations of it are completely disconnected from the reality in front of them.

Trump can't be all that dumb. He got himself elected president with the entire establishment determined to stop him.

Also agreed that there are clear elements of fascism in mainstream Democratic policies and behavior, above all their DEMAND for conformity with the "one true path" which just so happens to serve the interests of the ultra rich: a weakening of all national sovereignties so that capital is free to exploit the entire globe in search of maximum profits.

The VTB syndication of the DB note is vastly more important. If Trump actually blew Putin on TV it would not matter as much as holding the debt that could destroy his business if called.

Is it Russian, or does note belong to some other E. European/FSU entity? I have not seen much about it - not denying that it is not real, but it MIGHT not be Russians. May be Kazakhs, or Uzbeks, or someone else. There is a plethora of corrupt fucks over there.

I have not followed much about E. European crime syndicates since 2005 or so. After that (+/- some years), most large organized crime fell under Russian State. But there exist just as bad or even probably worse syndicates from -stans, which are even more ruthless than Russian ones. See Nazarbayev, Karimov, etc.

The Tea Party wasn't astroturf.

Here's the proof: The House Majority Leader Eric Cantor lost his seat in a Republican Primary powered by the Tea Party by 10 pts to Dave Brat in 2014.
He won the 2012 Primary by almost 80% of the vote. A majority leader of the House being unseated in a primary is a once-a-century event.

Eric Cantor was you archetypical Big Business Republican: He was for total one sided Free Trade, supported every "Free Trade" Agreement, supported TARP, fought the minimum wage, loved every capital gains tax cut he ever saw, and was solidly anti-Union. He was also weak on immigration. While strong on Gun Rights and Anti-Abortion, he supported a version of the DREAM Act to give big business lots of cheap labor and crush wages of US Citizens. That was his undoing.

If the Tea Party was Astroturf, they would have instructed Virginia Leaders not to endorse Brat or work against Cantor.

Yes. Trump is bad, but you don't know about Clinton though. You're admitting that you may actually not know that Trump is bad by default saying you don't know that Clinton was bad.

Clinton got a BJ on public property. Then lied about it. Not a big deal in my world, but if you don't know Clinton is bad, then maybe you don't know much about Trump? Flying to a pedophile's island multiple times is also pretty bad optics. But hey Trump golfs and talks about grabbing women by the pussy, which he likely never did. You don't know what you don't know.
