So let me guess, let's "fundamentally transform" America ?

Does that mean that mean open borders, giving free passes to the Chinese Communists, etc. ?

So if Trump would just fulfill his campaign promises you'd have no issue with him?

Great we agree on everything.

Trump isn't dividing anybody.

The Media is.

Fuck, Fredo on CNN was all about "Two Americas" tonight. There's even a fucking thread on this very forum by a Leftist encouraging division with the same angle.

Stop creating drama and then claiming somebody else started it.

Activism is the only way

Activism against what? There's more opportunity out there than there ever has been. People can bitch all they want, they're just wasting their time. You can literally sail around the world, drink and party and get paid for it. It's not everyone else's fault you're too lazy to take advantage of the modern day opportunities.
111418   Hircus   2020 Jun 1, 2:23pm

Many Fools have made themselves known when they blame the racism and division wholly or majorly on Trump. You could make an argument that he's responsible for SOME of it, but the VAST majority of it comes from the media and politicians.

The BLM movement started under Obama.
The Occupy Wallstreet movement started under Obama.

Our current unrest has basically the same grievances as those movements.

All of these are little Frankenstein creations of the media. They find a divisive coal, and then the media and politicians blow on it until its a fire.

The left and the right actually have a common enemy when it comes to the media.

Honest question to any thoughtful Liberal or Progressive here.

Do you really think the biggest problem facing the African American community is systemic racism and police brutality in Democrat controlled cities like Seattle, LA, Portland, New York, Minneapolis, Atlanta, DC and Philadelphia? If so, how did these Democrat run cities stay so racist for decades despite being run by Democrats and people of color?

I argue the biggest problem for African Americans is the staggering percent of black children being born without Dad's in their lives guaranteeing them to live in a life of poverty, ignorance and crime.

Of course, in the suburbs guys also are armed, so don’t try barging in someone’s place.

Just got word from a credible source that they're looking to hit my town tonight. We're a rural farm town of like 2,200 people. Enjoy. I have no problem killing someone and neither do most the gun owners out here. I'm actually looking forward to it. This is planned people. One of the county cops in town has a credible threat on him. This is beyond fucked up. Kind of excited though.

NDrLoR says
the atrocities mentioned above
This happened a long time before the 80's or automation. The black thug culture is a product, ironically, of the Civil Rights era. In the late 60's, young blacks under the influence of their leaders H. Rap Brown, Stokely Carmichael and Eldridge Cleaver along with the Black Panther party rejected assimilation into mainstream American society advocated by MLK for, well, the black thug culture of violence, hatred of The Man and capitalism, involvement in the drug culture and every other self-destructive impulse known to mankind.

Something I'd like to point out is that the black community has been intentionally subverted a few times.

For example: when rap music first showed up in the 1980's, it was political and forward thinking. It wasn't violent, it wasn't glorifying drugs, it was progressive in that it was taking an honest look at issues the black community faced. Here, this is comedy, but it's spot on:

www.youtube.com/embed/tFwsQd-07Yw

Rap music in the later 80's just glorified drugs, promiscuous sex, money, violence. It promoted the most base and damaging things for a young person to do.

Drugs were thrown into poor urban areas. People couldn't get welfare if a man lived in the house originally. There is systemic racism. The black community was intentionally hobbled and they were targeted to make them government dependents.

I'm not really a progressive, but I think I can answer this.

It was a deliberate choice to make the black community dependent on the government and to weaken their families. Welfare wasn't available to married couples at one time - it created an economic incentive for black families to be broken up. Feminists also targeted the black community promoting that concept that single mothers were "strong" and "independent". The first MRA type people came out of the black community, from the 1970s.

socal2 says

I'd agree.

But what you have to look at is that the government itself gives financial incentives to black women to have children, and to not have a nuclear family.

The government also pumps in drugs to black communities, gives them terrible education in urban schools.

As insane as this may be to say, segregation may have been better for the black community than not having it at one time. Back in the 1950's, Harlem was a prosperous, clean, well kept area of NYC - but you wouldn't go into that area if you were white unless you had a chaperon to go with who was black and familiar with the area. You would have been regarded as a troublemaker and targeted. White people experienced the same exact discrimination in a black area that a black person would face when being in a white area.

In either case, ending segregation helped the Democratic party because THEY were able to convince the public they were responsible for ending "racism" - even though they weren't. They then setup programs that made black people dependent on their policies that conservatives claimed to be against further getting black people to align with the democratic party. Whether this was well thought out and planned, or if it just happened - who is to say?

They having a net worth pumped up by others in the auction called the “stock market” doesn’t impoverish anyone.

A guy somewhere has a Picasso hanging in his house worth millions; does he hurt your ability to get money and have fun?

Its a play on words or political rhetoric that cleverly disguises left wing ideology with the label "AntiFa" or anti-fascist.

Whereas, the goal is to realize a left wing authoritarian government at the central level and then work its way to the local level.

Hence, by the Left attaching to the AntiFa label, if you criticize their actions, you get falsely labeled as being supportive of fascism.

Absolutely. The outsourcing of almost all US manufacturing to China and insourcing of tens of millions of illegals is the basis of their fortunes, and they are trying hard to make sure it continues by attempting to get rid of Trump.

Funding the current riots seems to be part of their strategy of destabilization. But the rioters are themselves violent criminals and should be stopped with force.

The difference between a city and state with a democrat controlled govt is that it's maybe as much as 60% democrats.

The idiot asshole cop that killed that guy was ONE INDIVIDUAL. How you turn that into something that is about the democrats being the dominant political party there is beyond me. Beyond stupid really. IT's no coincidence that major urban areas often are democrat. I guess you could argue that those urban democrat leaders are the ones that need to lead with the changes that need to occur with police hiring, training etc., but it's more likely to happen if this needs to be something that the entire culture is behind.

There is a great chance that cop Trump cult member. Not saying it's definite, but what you're trying to do with the politics is an absurd stretch.

Hell, I'd be scared to be a Republican living there as far as being in a militant Democrat environment. Just think about the retaliation and ultra-passive aggressive behavior; like being a James Damore (fired Google employee) everyday.

Minneapolis is something like 90% white and 6% black, yet the videos of looters appear to be 80% black. Whites appear to be underrepresented at the rallies. The whites who are there look like Antifa, while the blacks dont look like Antifa. That part seems true.
