New York being 1st in Population-Weighted Density (PWD), we would expect it to be 1st highest in number of cases per capita.

Yes, they prefer deaths. Cases are just fun for NY to see how quickly they can kill them. How about cases that result in death?

You can manipulate this data anyway you want. You ignore that Covid is not remotely deadly to 80-90% of the population anywhere. Even in that segment, maybe, maybe 1-2% die. We're talking fractions, not whole percentages. There are proven therapeutics. Supposedly the vaccine works. We should be 100% back to normal at this point.

I don't think there's a user here that doesn't believe covid exists. There's just a proper reaction based on the outcome. Keep old people safe/vaccinated and let's get this shit going. Stop with the masks. It's beyond a joke at this point. It's about control and you're buying it. Gotta think man.

Florida is in the bottom 50% for COVID deaths, despite being a huge state with one of the largest percentages of seniors, and, if memory serves, the largest head count of seniors. Not to mention a high obesity rate that I believe rivals if not exceeds NY/NJ.

Let's make sure we're clear here -- NY, the state where the virus broke out worst before any measures could be taken, where people are living in the most dense conditions, with mass public transit, has recorded fewer infections per-capita than some of the least dense rural states, which had close to no cases by the time we were fully aware of the virus.

Let's make sure we're clear here -- this is the kind of statistical bullshit when the covid narrative falls apart and the left is trying to lick their wounds.

No sympathy on this attempt.

Let's be clear: when Orange Man suggested shutting down mass transit in NYC DeBlasio and Cuomo went ballistic screaming he has no authority to do it (which is true) and outright refusing to even entertain the notion. So go easy on "before any measures could be taken" BS, mkay?

I'm waiting for you to explain how South Dakota having more cases per capita than New York is statistical bullshit. It seems you don't like the facts and are quickly trying to bury it... lame.

What in the flying fuck do cases have to do with anything? We want people to get it. We want immunity. It's not a bad thing. Cases to death is the metric if you want to put us in our place. NY has been a disgrace. That's indisputable. Use data that matters.

When they did the antibody study a year ago, they showed that 20% of NYC was likely infected by May of last year. Can't record cases when you didn't even have the testing to go around. Or do you actually believe your own bs and think that NYC somehow had less cases but more deaths than the rest of the world.

Lockdowns were an unmitigated disaster, preventing few deaths and only delaying cases until later. They caused widespread misery, both human and economic, contributed to many horribles, and were awesomely unhealthy for the population.

Now you have some cherry-picked charts that show a marginal benefit to lockdown states over states where freedom was allowed. Big deal! I’d rather more died than we lose all freedoms. This lockdown dogma was just sparing a few old and rich over the young and poor.
The negative ramifications of lockdowns and year-long school closures will be felt for many years as crime spikes to record levels and poverty and inequity increased to epidemics of their own.

The Idiots on the Left are buckteef Fucking retards. They keep lying and spreading misinformation to suppress the will of the public at large that unanimously Mandated America return back to our freedoms and glory.
They've got the Covid Chinese Manipulated virus paid for by Fauci, Obama and Bill Gates through gain of function research. Then at the same time, they attempted an Election Steal. They think they've gotten away with it. The problem is, there's just way too much for them to control the narrative on, not without demanding supreme dictatorship rule over Americans, and our media. But they are trying like hell.

It's all falling down on their shit eating faces, as fast as they can rig it, it's falling on their heads.

They wont survive the year, it will all come out, and the word "Democrat" will be a poisonous word, they will be the biggest pariah.
113639   fdhfoiehfeoi   2021 May 26, 2:05pm

First off for all the false paradigm'ers, specifically the R side, if you guys haven't already made a chart like this to show how L's are wrong, I'm sure you will, so lets cut the hypocrisy.

Now let me mention a few points nowhere covered in this data set. Locking down a state, and telling people what to wear on their personal bodies when they their house is totalitarianism. Even in the best case where you argue the measures were scientifically relevant, it's still an ends justify the means outlook that trashes freedom and responsibility. If you save a world by enslaving people, was it really justified? So fuck the voting percentages, and face reality.

I live in California, and have family I have visited in Florida and Colorado, and family I have not visited in Iowa. I have neither seen, nor heard of any difference as to how people are doing across any of these states, despite California and Iowa being at extreme ends of your chart. The only general impression I have is that things are better almost everywhere else, and worse here in your posterboy golden state. This has nothing to do with sickness, and everything to do with totalitarianism. Most of the people in my engineering org have gotten their GMO shot. All of them were worried about how their bodies would react, almost like they were in the death lottery. None of them seem any less scared now.

I don't need to be TOLD there is a pandemic, I'll see it with my own eyes.
I don't need to be BRIBED to do something good for my health, I'll do it of my own volition.

Information missing is the amount of those tested, or tested residents of the state per capita. Like others have said, the accuracy of the testing methodology and what constitutes a case can come into question here.
113642   joshuatrio   2021 May 26, 3:37pm

You need to look at deaths as a percentage of population. Trying to link it to a political party is disingenuous. Quit trying to give blue states an out.

Explain why Florida and Georgia are dead middle of the pack - despite Florida being the third most populous state and ZERO fucking restrictions.

Bottom line, restrictions did nothing.

When they get debunked with facts, rightists never admit to being wrong... they just double down and argue that the truth is really well hidden.

What facts? There are no facts. If you truly believe that covid is dangerous and deadly at this point, you're buying a pile of shit. That's beyond dispute at this point.

I'm not saying it doesn't exist. I'm saying this isn't what you think it is. No one on this forum will die from covid and I know nothing about any of you. No one will die. This is fact.

The scare tactics are getting nauseating though. We've legitimately known of a user here that has died supposedly falling down the damn stairs. Maybe or maybe not murdered. Yet you continue to push this shit? A pandemic kills. This doesn't. Your belief is based off lies and you cannot see it. It's not conspiracy. Not tin foil hat. It's reality. Covid is not deadly to 90%+ of the population. 10% of people might have a 1-2% chance of dying. You'll die of other things before covid, including the seasonal flu.

Most big leftoid cities have mostly single tds basement dwellers whereas rural states have far more family households which account for 90% of the transmissions. New York, New Jersey, Rhode Island, CT, and MA had more deaths per 100k than every single country the majority of the pandemic. It wasn't until now that Hungary and Bulgaria finally caught up.

It's the long game that matters. Oh and Hungary (#1 in deaths per capita) is the Hydroxychloroquine world power.

lol, you apparently can't understand the fact that you have 2 million positives that never got recorded because there was no testing at the time. That doesn't count in your metric, does it?

but ultimately individual attitudes matter for example people will wear masks whether there's a mandate or not and vice-versa.

People are fatter and older in red states. Don't have a link to back that up, but you know it's true and would agree. There's a reason they are red states. It's their right to be fat. I don't like it, but whatever. Not my job to control other adults or the governments job.

I think most everyone here is an independent based off of comments for the most part. Per capita red states should be a blood bath of covid. They're middle of the road and don't wear masks. I'm not sure you're understanding the point being made here. Florida is half dead and fat, yet is middle of the pack per capita for deaths. They did a better job than blue states.

I honestly don't know what your OP was about. It disregards the fact that red states are older and fatter. Basically more prone to death from covid. Cases don't matter. 100% of people will get covid. In some states 1% will die and 5% in another. We know which states those are....

Density has some influence. Chicago has been hit hardest in the fat black and latino areas. Not a put down, just fact. Which is why unmasked red states, generally rural and very fat are not being hit as hard. It's damning of Fauci's approach to this.

Our government's response to a respiratory illness (lungs) is to put something over your mouth that restricts breathing and getting oxygen to the lungs. Then fidgeting with said mouth diaper that gives you less oxygen and a potential viral load you then breath in over and over. Science is complicated. What I just said though makes 100% sense. It's more logic than science.

Policy should be different in different areas though is the point. NYC is way different than Eureka, IL. Policy should have been adjusted for. It wasn't with Trump and isn't with Biden. Neither are doctors, but Fauci is a cunt and both relied on the cunt. The cunt should have been canned by now.

Density, obesity and age are the primary factors of death. I don't care about cases. Getting infected is totally fine for 90% of the population. Policy should have been to protect the 10% that were vulnerable. Fauci fucked that up, just like he did with AIDS. I honestly don't understand why the guy is still employed. He's got leverage on something we'll likely never know about.
