you want to defend that as sound thinking? then you are a fucking retard!

Hey psycho; looks like you are doing it for me... "YAY, Gold is down $600! I'm fuckin' awesome! I'm fuckin' smart! YAAAAYYYY!!!"...

ugh. If these posts are what gets you through your day, good for you...

I guess you can't react to legit questions or possibilites w/ civility....

I guess you can't wrap your brain around the fact, that for some people, holding gold (or silver) is more than a 1 year endeavor, and may also be less than 10% of their total holdings....

I guess you'll never hear this over the din of the 5 voices in your head telling you how fuckin' awesome you are. HAAHAHAA....

That's a rather strange argument, but you're very, very lucky that you know what is going to happen in the future.

Why? If you have the means and time to invest in something w/ less than 10% of your total holdings, why is this so strange? This is the point I'm trying to make. Yes, the 10-15 year time range that I referenced is a little unrealistic. I'm no gold bug. I see it as I see lots of other investments (outside of my main core of dividend growth stocks). I saw gold going up, got in (SNDXF/SAND), made my $$, then sold off to pour even more $$ into my dividend growth stocks. I have some SLW left, which is down 27%. Yes, it's dead $$ for now. I knew this going in. But I don't lash out when I'm asked to think differently (ala egads) like some psycho either.

he sold his california home 2 years ago to buy gold. Are you so fucking stupid that you think that makes it a small part of his portfolio?

How the fuck would you know?!!

As I'm sure you and he got intimate on all of this holdings, all of his net worth, and whatever sweet-nothings you shared. All's I'm saying psycho, is that you know NOTHING about him, other than he sold a house to buy gold. That's it. Pat 'yerself on the back chief, you win the cupie doll! You are AWESOME!

Motown is MOTOWN.

R&B was an umbrella genre created to house Rap, Black Bubblegum Pop, and formulated boy or girl band acts on the same radio station starting in the mid 80's.

It's like calling Ozzy Ozbourne "Rock-n-Roll".

I recall that he boasted about going all in on gold. What do you reckon we should think he meant by that?

To be honest with you, I'm more of Diane Krall and Stacey Kent kinda guy. At least they cover standards and manage to sound like them selves, and be just as relevant as the original in their own right.

NO mother fugger, I'm a guy that has never had one ounce of tolerance for talentless pop, you're more a victim of marketing than you are a fan of any sort of music.

R&B indeed!

Racist? This topic is about a British fat white bitch, that stole her act from a black woman, even by your own account. You're calling me a racist, when the Brits are 5 degrees whiter than we are.

Favorite black artists

Billie Holiday
Jimmy Smith
Barry White
Thelonious Monk
Macy Gray(A current Pop star that transcends the whole pop genre, one day I hope she becomes a great Jazz artist)

That's just a short list, if they are black(or white) and would ever share the same stage at an award or some accolade function, with Beiber or West, then I probably wouldn't like them. Not because who any of those people are, I just wouldn't be interested in the show or the artist they are celebrating.

And to be honest with you, I'd take Diana Ross over Eta James any day. Musically as well.

Makes a person wonder how high gold might go when the final banking crisis comes.

With the quadrillions or whatever in derivatives, I guess it's a possibility, I believe the derivatives were the problem RE had back a few years now.

Some banks, people, and central governments have been stacking furiously at these prices.

You can play and talk gold as an investment all day long, because that's the way some make money from gold, but it's a completely different play than the physical holder types which is of course growing.

But, only as fast as we can pull it out of the ground.

Got a link or proof that he "Went all in"?

egads101 says

Not as much. But do you remember underwaterman? the dumbfuck who sold his home two years ago, and went all in on gold and silver??

Egads doesn't (or can't) say that underwaterman 'went all in'. From what I've read on this post, this guy sold a house to buy gold, and that's all I know. I just posed a question that maybe underwaterman is a very rich dude that has the means to wait out his gold investment, which could represent a smaller % of his portfolio than egads may have suspected. I certainly don't know, but it wouldn't hurt your brain to imagine other options.

Now, would I believe anyone would sell a house and take the entire proceeds to buy physical (or paper) gold? By an anonymous poster on the internet no less? Probably not. I think underwaterman was mind-fucking egads, and egads was too stupid to realize he was taking the bait. Well, it gave him a reason to act like an asshole, so whatever.

But apparently egads believes underwaterman. Think about it. Egads believes an anonymous guy on a RE forum on the internet sold a house (maybe his prime residence, or a rental property?) to buy gold, and is cursing anyone and everyone out if they have a different thought or opinion. Psycho boy needs his happy pills, and FAST!

(keeping an open mind wouldn't hurt him either).....

Say hey! This was in the Wall Street Journal on March 30, 1999. Note "... how much it will buy."

Holy cow/interesting/compelling ...!

And where is it up to date??? Right here ... see the first chart shown in this thread.
Recent Dow day is Tuesday, November 19, 2013 __ Level is 101.8

WOW! It is hideous that this is hidden! Is there any such "Homes, Inflation Adjusted"? Yes! This was in the New York Times on August 27, 2006:

And up to date (by me) is here:

It sounds like you don't remember his posts. If I have time, I'll have a look back, but he certainly wasn't framing the 'discussion' as being the limited actions of a very wealthy man.

That's always a possibility given the nonsense posted on this forum, but then that hardly strengthens your argument of it potentially being less than 10% of his overall wealth. Egads post was at least based on what the person actually said. What was yours based on?

39600   Tenpoundbass   2013 Nov 19, 11:16am

At this point if he doesn't understand this is beyond his right to have a gun. The public expects him to put the fucking guns away already and give it a rest for while. If he can't realize that, then he probably does have a few screws lose, if he's running around brandishing guns at in laws, presenting the business end of a greeter to his Girl friend.
Hey I mean what better way to say I'm happy to see you, than to shove a barrel in her face. Doesn't this moron realize that any future episodes involving a gun, will be looked at with a more scruinous eye. Than if he had never been in the news before.
Perhaps if he was a no body, this might be a she said he said care, and thrown out. But given his history, that was stupidest thing he could have ever done. Or even if he didn't. If i were him, I wouldn't want to be anywhere near a gun for the next 5 years. Just so I couldn't even be wrongfully accused.
What a schmuck.

The main enabler of sizable asset price bubbles is keeping the real price histories out of sight. Agree?

Meanwhile, the approval rating of the GOP is at the lowest levels its historically ever been. So in reality the GOP has bigger issues, not to mention how they have so far done nothing to attract the voters whom didn't for them the last time around and probably won't the next either.

39622   smaulgld   2013 Nov 20, 12:48am

Don't look now but the Fed is trying to convince us that they can taper and still keep rates low-they know they are stuck and need to stop the QE but they cant risk it because they need low rates so they are trying to sell us on low rates without QE.

If they try to taper, rates will skyrocket and home prices will plummet

Even if they keep the QE and increase it housing price will have a hard time rising as incomes are not rising

39623   smaulgld   2013 Nov 20, 12:58am

Absolutely not true, but frightening that if he and others say it enough people believe it and allow them to try and plan the economy through monetary policy

The "team" mentality doesn't get us anywhere. Who cares if one party is currently more in trouble than the other if both parties continue roughly the same disastrous politics and the president and their administrations not only keep lying through their teeth, but have abandoned the rule of law. How can it be of any comfort that "your team" (which is essentially the same as the other) won against "the other team"? No doubt this a great time to be a career politician.. ;)
