Her campaign strategy was to let the media demonize Trump, while staying out of the spotlight because her unfavorables were also very high, only a few points behind Trump. Unlike Trump she was vulnerable on her record, and the more she appeared the more she had a chance of making a gaffe.

She campaigned like an incumbent popular House candidate, only a handful of appearances here and there.
