"Ah, but it's clear that the GOPe wasn't interested in a healthcare plan that actually benefitted the people, just the insurance companies and the Uber wealthy! Trump(or should I say Bannon) knew this and let Ryan lead the GOPe to a disaster just to discredit this faction of the Republicans who believe themselves to be in control."

Wow-the amount of rationalizing and revisionist history on here is mind-boggling. Trump absolutely wanted this deal and would have signed it proudly. There was no grand plan to discredit Ryan or the GOPe.

"The one thing we know about Trump is that he does deals all day long"

And he's finding out that making deals in Washington is a lot different than making deals in the boardroom. He's 0 for 1 so far. About to be 0-2 when tax reform fails and 0-3 when the wall fails too.

This is a win for Mercer, but not for Trump or his voters.

It took you until 2017 to figure this out? How old are you?

They just have to be convinced to stop playing partisan politics and start passing legislation that benefits their constituents!

Perception is reality.
If the conservative base sees it as a "win", well then, to them it is, regardless of the various (judicial) outcomes...

You're saying he gave up, this isn't even the 100 day mark yet. You are so callously petty it's the only transparency left in the Left.

82043   NDrLoR   2017 Mar 28, 8:46am

I'd say without even looking at other comments that the "win" was in not repealing--it would have been entirely on the republicans for better or worse and probably worse. It was foolish to try that quickly anyway. Something that took over a year to work out would have needed at least that length of time to replace in any cogent fashion.

"He will only get done what the Liberal coalition of Obama's George Soros money will allow him to do."

wtf? He is a Republican President with a Republican majority House, a Republican majority Senate, soon to be a Republican majority Supreme Court. How the hell does the liberal coalition of Soros have any power?

Are you being coy or you really that ignorant to the reality in Washington right now?
Trump is being sabotaged by McCain, Ryan, Grahm and quite a few other RINO's.
Who are working in close tandem with the Liberals. Noticed the Democrats kept their mouth shut while brother Paul Ryan tried to do all of their dirty work.
I think it's hilarious that Trump then blamed the Democrats for the failure. And the American voter agrees. Priceless!!!!

"Are you being coy or you really that ignorant to the reality in Washington right now? Trump is being sabotaged by McCain, Ryan, Grahm and quite a few other RINO's."

No, he is being sabotaged by the Freedom Caucus. The most anti-establishment wing of the Republican party. He is being done in by the ANTI-ESTABLISHMENT. How ironic is that?

"Noticed the Democrats kept their mouth shut while brother Paul Ryan tried to do all of their dirty work."

You're delusional. Paul Ryan tried to pass another bill that would enrich the 1%. Just like Trump's own tax plan. It was exactly what Trump wanted.

"I think it's hilarious that Trump then blamed the Democrats for the failure. And the American voter agrees. Priceless!!!!"

bwahahahaha. The American voter has placed blame exactly where it belongs--on Trump. His approval rating is the worst ever for a President at this point in his term. It is beyond crappy. It's historically bad.

82048   Tenpoundbass   2017 Mar 28, 10:30am

82049   Tenpoundbass   2017 Mar 28, 11:26am

We'll see wont we. The view from here is the Liberals and the RINOs are the grotesque monsters here. You guys really live n a bubble.
People are not as reactive toward Trump as they were, they are being repulsed by the Deep State for sure. They might not have swallowed the Red Pill but they are Woke, make no mistake they Woke. The future elections will be a who's who of novice candidates, the career politician is the walking dead until 2018 when they get the Memo.
I don't know what to tell ya, that is the next eventuality. I would like to ponder what Trump will get done between now and 2018. But we all know everyone in Washington DC took Micheal Moore plea to heart to resist the President of the United States.

You Bastards have no earthly idea how terrifying that is to EVERY voter, that still believes in America. You guys are the ones that would shoot them in the head and dump them in the lime pit if you don't get your way. I think everyone in the world has seen your movie before.

I see mostly "buy" or "strong buy" ratings...yet, it keeps dropping...So far I have been buying on every $ down move. Although, yesterdays 4.5% down opening I missed.

I don't quite get whats not to like about a 50% surprise earnings company with a 8.3% (as of today) dividend.

82054   Shaman   2017 Mar 28, 3:18pm

So you claim he's hitler and a dictator fascist threat to our civilization with his despotic ways. Aaaand then the next week you complain that he can't get anything done because he's following the constitution and people in other branches of government are opposing him.
If Trump is a dictator, he's the weakest one ever!
Ya'all need to get your "narrative" straight. The one you're running with doesn't make a lick of sense and is getting awful Neilson ratings.

82055   Shaman   2017 Mar 28, 3:41pm

That's fine but I wasn't referring to TPB in any way. He's a bit nuttier than I can deal with on most of his posts. That isn't to say that he's always wrong, but just unreliable and I wasn't referring to anything he's said. Just the OMG LITERALLY HITLER trash I've seen from Patnet's resident Leftists like you.

82058   Patrick   2017 Mar 28, 6:49pm

This seems to be true:

Democratic National Committee Chairman Tom Perez has launched a major overhaul of the party's organization, which has been stung by recent crises — and the DNC has requested resignation letters from all current staffers.

But it doesn't matter. The DNC will continue to lose as long as its sole focus is identity politics.

Working class people are all equally in need of representation, but the DNC destroys their ability to get that representation by dividing them by race, gender, religion, and bizarre sexual preferences. And they do it over and over.

NPR is about nothing but division most of the time. It normally takes about 10 seconds from turning it on until they deliberately divide people by one of the above categories by praising anyone except straight white men.

May they lose, and lose, and lose again until they get back to their roots as representing the working class and not dividing it just because George Soros wants them to.

82059   Patrick   2017 Mar 28, 7:02pm

It's ambiguous. Does sounds like they were spying on Trump's team, but it's not completely clear.

Very interesting that there is no mention of Farkas in news.google.com, but there is in, say, news.bing.com

Google is clearly censoring things for partisan reasons, further destroying their credibility.

82060   Ceffer   2017 Mar 28, 7:15pm

Trump just needs to wait his turn to use the same resources to spy on his future Democratic opponents. Fair is fair.

Ever since Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) initiated its dividend in March 2012, the tech giant has increased its dividend every year in March or April. With the company recently adopting the practice of announcing its annual dividend increase alongside its fiscal-second quarter results, Apple should announce its dividend increase for 2017 next month. Here's a close look at Apple's dividend, as well as an overview of what investors should expect from this year's increase. Consistent increases Apple's dividend increases have been very consistent and predictable.

Well, if he's active, informed, and smart, then Trump might as well suck his cock and do what he says, right?

All Farkas is saying is that she thinks that Trump will try to bury the intelligence we have gathered, and will try to cut off the source of intelligence. So, she told people in Congress to seek out the information before Trump had a chance to hide it. She didn't say how they got the intel, and didn't say that Obama had anything to do with it. She also said: I talked with my former colleagues and found that they were also trying to get information to the Hill. She then referred to this as leaking. If the order came from above, she wouldn't have had to talk to her colleagues to figure it out. She is saying that they are doing the leaking (whistle blowing) independently.

She certainly didn't say that Trump was spied on. She also didn't disparage Kislyak, so the compliment she gave him earlier doesn't contradict this and doesn't mean that he is going to be good to the US.

Ironman says

Who was her boss, who did she work for?

Obama was in charge, but he wasn't responsible for every leak. If you blame Obama for every action in the government while he was in charge, you should likewise blame Trump for every leak since Jan 20. After all, he is in charge, right?

Ironman says

...." The Trump folks, if they found out how we knew what we knew about the Trump staff dealing with Russians, that they would try to compromise those sources and methods, meaning we would not longer have access to that intelligence."

What does your crystal ball tell you about how they know what they know. Farkas doesn't tell you, so I want to know what you see through your tongue in Trump's ass glasses. My interpretation is that if Trump finds out their methods for producing information on the Russian operation that ended up crossing paths with Trump's associates, he will shut down those operations to sabotage the investigation. That is an opinion about Trump's behavior. It is not an admission of her own behavior.

You know there's another side to the whole Obama wiretapped Trump thing.
The fact they wiretapped him and didn't find anything to hang him with.
He was probably boasting to who ever he was talking to, how he killed them on CNN in every phone call he made.
