How do they know if a person actually is a conservative or a liberal? Do they ask them? that would be absurd!! Asking a person what they are is not what they are ... a person is judged by their actions through observations by others ... who inturn judge them by their own self-centered view of the world they live in.

So, a poll (only answered by people that do that kind of thing) suggests that a group (that said they were a particualr type of pollster) gave a portion of their income as a gift (with a tax break on the backside). See there, no big deal.

I will say that the fact that NO ONE would send extra money to the government is proof that the federal government is not a charity. Not even the liberals arguing for higher taxes feel that the federal government is efficient at helping the less fortunate. If anyone actually believed in the government's egalitarian efforts, they would have no problem donating extra income to the feds, just like they would to a charity.
