I wonder what was going through the suspect's mind when all this was happening.

"You want me to offer HOW MUCH over asking??"

According to the article they took his cellphone & wallet. Probably another realtor - what a way to generate new leads!

If these RE Agent homicides keep happening, the NAR may lobby and try to get Realtors (R) the right to carry a firearm.

Right, who needs a gun for self defense? When seconds count, the police are only minutes away!

They need to allow sufficient time for the suspects to escape so that they can safely come take a report.

Hahaha - that's probably true (in Detroit). Actually I was on the DOJ website a while ago and found a "response time" chart that showed different police response times and the % of total for each category.

As you can imagine, the highest percentage response time catagory was: "3 to 5 minutes". Each successive catagory had longer and longer response time increments until the last catagory, which was: "next day" I'm not kidding. Although "next day" was a tiny percentage of the total , it was real - and real scary - don't you think? NEXT DAY ???

In my neighborhood in San Francisco, I once reported that someone was blocking my drive way. The cop came within 2 minutes to issue a ticket since I said I did not want it towed... Several times, and the response time was just as quick.

As soon as I call them because there was an active breaking & entering on a vehicle, they came in 30 minutes.

I truly believe that all they intended to do was to take a report, so they can let forensics handle all the legwork if it's worth the bust. Once they get a warrant, the criminal will usually get caught during a traffic violation while driving. In that case, since the cop ran the plates & license through his/her laptop, he/she will have no choice but to be confrontational.

Would that make it a "hate crime"?
