if someone needs 14 years to save up 20% downpayment, he is looking at a wrong house.
if we enforce the 20% downpayment rule, that same person will be able to buy the same house after a couple of years.
affordability =/= ability to get bigger loans
it means cheaper prices
I'm looking for a house in Sacramento area. I saved about 80k. my parents will give me another 70k. but i will wait for the QRM because some realtors are still bragging about 0% down. I don't wanna compete with those people with our savings.
