Rick Perry Asked Why More Kids Are Getting Pregnant in Texas

I just have to wonder if conservatives will ever get tired of being simply wrong on almost every issue...

Rather a biased statement I suppose, but shit! I for one would be happy if at the very least the concept of 'irony' would begin to sink in...

In the pre-industrial age, people didn't HAVE access to reliable birth control methods.

Now they do.

To deny education in, and use of same, is willful ignorance and criminal neglect.

We no longer have "shotgun weddings" AFAIK. Has Texas instituted compulsory marriage of unwed mothers to the father? I predict there'll be an abrupt exodus of baby daddies.

Agreed, which was why there were so many "Shotgun Weddings". Those peasant concoctions had a high level of failure preventing or aborting a pregnancy.

If there was no marriage, the baby was often exposed or dropped off at a 'foundling hospital' (orphanage). Rousseau, who had the gall to write a book on child rearing, dropped all of his many out-of-wedlock children there.

My point is that many teens have and always will shag before marriage.

Hence, learning about STDs, Pregnancy, and which methods of birth control can prevent them - is important. It shouldn't be left to silly moralistic "education" that focuses on Chasity, since it's an ideal few can achieve even in both the richest and harshest of times.

wait wait wait .... seriously, I tell my teenage daughter that every guy is after one thing, and I tell her that is how it's supposed to be. The nice guys, the weird guys, the perverted guys ... all want someone to touch their junk. So, that part we got covered. I then tell her that having unprotected sex is absolutly crazy, lazy, and stupid. I explain that having unprotected sex introduceses her to life changing diseases. ANd, now this is important here, I also tell her that getting prego and having a baby is the only good thing that can possibly come from having unprotected sex as a young unwed female. If she does have sex (no way to stop it), and she does have unprotected sex (use a rubber, the pill dont stop kooties), and she does get prego, guess what, I have done what I can to make sure she knows I'll be kind to her, and understanding, and will help her raise the kid. I'd rather not have to help her heal from having had a baby ripped apart inside her due to convienience. But that's just me.

The teen age birth rate is highest with mexican girls. They lead the multiple births and multiple dads catagory too.
The teen mother PERCENTAGE is highest with negros.
The STD rate is highest with mexican males between 13 and 30, with 70% having an STD.
Why deny the facts? The invasion worked as planned. Viva LaRaza.

A citation supporting all these facts please.

sir, I did that the last 20 times this subject came up. Not a new subject here, and the dadta is not hid in any way. As a matter of fact, the data USED to be put out in the local newspaper every year by the county hospital that served the welfare community, but now-a-days that kind of shared data is frowned upon. Anyways Bob, I choose to be lazy and not search through PatNet to find the other entries, nor re-search the stuff again, right now anyways. I understand if you toss out my post. Before you go, would you please do me the favor of reading up on Prop 187? There is a time-frame in play here that may interest you.
