Economics is NOT a hard science. It is understood by a priori. E.G. you would not prove a statement like, all unmarried men are bachelors, you would consider it to be self evident.

At any one time any economic event has 29 things going on. It is NOT a controlled experiment as in the empirical method. To claim so is ridiculous.If it were susceptible to the empirical method the economy would be predictable but it is not, look at how the majority of the experts get it wrong.

Idiots like socal2 don't get that things in the world are interconnected. You change something locally and eventually distance things react. He's world view is overly compartmentalized and localize. Nothing but direct cause and effect is acknowledged. This simply isn't how the real world operates.

The Monica Lewinsky scandal took an enormous amount of President Clinton's time, effort, and resources during critical Middle East peace talks. Had these peace talks succeeded, the entire arc of history would have been altered. Al Qaeda and other terrorist organizations would have weakened as relationships between the U.S. and the Middle East improved, not immediately, but progressively. And as life in the Middle East improved due to trade, fewer men and women would become extremists. Yes, this is enough to alter events so that 9/11 never happens, and the USA Patriot Act is never passed, and Bush is never elected president, and the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan never happen, and millions of civilians including children don't die, and ISIS doesn't rise to power.

The actions of big policies have a ripple effect throughout history. This ripple effect never ceases and has significant influences even thousands of years after those policies were enacted.

Let's say there are several fraudulent arguments that the Earth is round.
1. The can of peanut butter in my fridge says the Earth is round, and that can of peanut butter never lies.
2. Mr. Fantastic demonstrated the roundness of the Earth when he stretched his arm around the Earth and scratched his own back.
3. Superman threw a baseball around the Earth and then caught it from the other direction.

Of course all these arguments are false and fraudulent. However, they do not contradict any of the valid arguments that the Earth is round.
1. Satellites orbit the Earth and photograph it showing the roundness.
2. Ships disappear over the horizon and the last thing you see is their mast.
3. The shadow of two identical vertical sticks at different positions will cast shadows of different lengths at the same time of the day.

Similarly, there are not attacks on tens of thousands of peer-reviewed papers with a multitude of independent lines of evidence proving man-made climate change. In contrast, every climate change denier paper you ever referenced has been thoroughly debunked and undeniably demonstrated to be intentional fraud by people with financial interest to deceive the public. Because of Wolf's Dilemma -- I won't bother explaining that because your too stupid to understand -- it's only practical to vote for one of the two major parties, and the two major parties are
1. Republicans: A bunch of inbred, dumb-ass descendants of scumbag slavers who are brainwashed by a false religion but don't follow its moral teachings and are the biggest cowards in history shitting their pants whenever they see a black man or someone with a turban.
2. Democrats: Everyone else.

That's it. Democrats are simply everyone who is a bat-shit chicken-ass. So basically, that's dozens of political groups that don't agree on most things. The one thing they all agree on is that our species is doomed if Republicans get power, and that's the only thing keeping the Democratic Party together.

Throughout America's history, conservatives have been the scum of the Earth regardless of what they call themselves, Republicans, Dixiecrats, Tea Party, or anything else. Your ilk has always been on the side of stupidity and evil, and you have been severely harming this country for over 200 years. The most patriotic thing you could do is die.
